It is the objective of this study to develop dynamic predictive model for the extraction process of red Ginseng using NIR spectroscopy. NIR spectroscopy was collected online and PLSR models were developed for total quantity of ginsenosides. The performance of NIR prediction model achieved R, RMSEC, RMSEP of 0.996 09, 0.018 9, 0.016 8, respectively. A first order dynamic mass transfer model was combined with NIR prediction of the quality indicator to predict the trajectory of the extraction process based upon the initial 3 or 4 data points. The results showed good agreement with actual measurements indicating reasonable accuracy of the predictive model. It could potentially be used for advanced predictive control of the extraction process.

5.Expression of P38 MAPK and MMP-2 mRNA in neonatal rats with hyperoxia-induced lung injury.
Chinese Journal of Contemporary Pediatrics 2013;15(5):383-386
OBJECTIVETo observe P38 mitogen-activated protein kinase (P38 MAPK) and matrix metalloproteinase-2 (MMP-2) mRNA expression level changes in neonatal rats with hyperoxia-induced lung injury, and to investigate the influence of P38 MAPK activation on MMP-2 mRNA expression.
METHODSThirty-six Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats were randomly divided into three groups: air control, hyperoxia and SB203580-treated hyperoxia (n=12). The rats were sacrificed on the 3rd and 7th days and the lungs were removed. Hematoxylin-eosine staining was used to observe the pathological changes in lung tissues.
RESULTSCompared with the air and SB203580-treated groups, levels of P38 MAPK and MMP-2 mRNA significantly increased in the hyperoxia group (P<0.01).
CONCLUSIONSExpression of P38 MAPK increases in neonatal rats with hyperoxia-induced acute lung injury and this may play a role in control of the expression of MMP-2 mRNA.

AIM: In order to explore the pathogenesis of ulcerative colitis (UC), an experimental colitis in mouse was induced by the hapten dinitrochlorobenzene (DNCB), and the activity of leukocyte migration inhibitory factor (LMIF) was measured at the same time. METHODS: 67 BALB/c mice were randomly divided into control (60% ethanol) and DNCB groups. After they were sensitized by smearing 3.3% DNCB on the abdominal skin, they were challenged with DNCB at concentration of 0.1%, 0.2% and 0.4% respectively by instillation once a day. The weight, stool viscosity and hematochezia were observed and accumulated as disease active index (DAI) score. The pathological changes in colon tissue were judged macropathologically and by means of microscope. LMIF activity was determined by the absorbance (A) of migrated leukocytes. RESULTS: Compared to control group, the increases in DAI accumulate score, pathologic score, and LMIF activity in DNCB groups were observed. CONCLUSION: Mouse colitis was induced by DNCB, which was accompanied by an increase in LMIF activity. [

Objective To investigate the expression of FGFR4 in lung adenocarcinoma tissue and its association with the prognosis of lung adenocarcinoma. Methods The expression FGFR4 in 128 lung adenocarcinoma tissue and the normal lung tissue was detected by the immunohistochemistry SP method. The relationship between the expression of FGFR4 in lung adenocarcinoma and the prognosis of lung adenocarcinoma was analyzed. Results The expression of FGFR4 protein in lung adenocarcinoma was significantly lower than that in the tumor-adjacent normal lung tissue (P<0.05). Expression of FGFR4 protein was not significantly assocoated with gender, age, smoking status, serum CEA levels and tumor location (P > 0.05), but was significantly and positively correlated with the degree of tumor differentiation and T stage, N stage and the clinical TNM stage of lung adenocarcinoma (P < 0.05).Kaplan-Meier survival test showed that the postoperative survival time in the high expression group of FGFR4 was significantly longer than that in the low FGFR4 expression group (P < 0.05). Conclusion The expression of FGFR4 protein in lung adenocarcinoma was significantly lower than that in the tumor-adjacent normal lung tissue. Postoperative survival time in the high FGFR4expression group was significantly longer than that in the low FGFR4 expression group.

OBJECTIVETo explore the technique and therapeutic effect of bridge wire splint fixation with ankle dorsiflexion for the treatment of femoral shaft fractures in young children. Methods:From June 2006 to June 2012,45 young children with femoral shaft fractures were treated by bridge wire splint fixation with ankle dorsiflexion, which was designed according to arch bridge mechanical principle and structure. There were 31 males and 14 females with an average age of 3.2 years old ranging from 8 months to 5.5 years old; 14 cases were upper 1/3 femoral fractures,26 cases were middle 1/3 femoral fractures,5 cases were lower 1/3 femoral fractures; 20 cases were transverse fractures, 14 cases were oblique fractures,6 cases were spiral frac- tures, and 5 cases were comminuted fractures. X-ray, follow-up imaging changes, clinical curative effect and complications were assessed.
RESULTSForty-five patients were followed up for 6 to 21 months (averaged 12 months). All fractures were reached clinical bone healing after 5 to 7 weeks (averaged 6 weeks) fixation. Seven cases appearred limb soft tissue complications, including buttocks bedsore, dorsal foot and Achilles tendon epidermal necrosis, and healed after dressing and removal of external fixation. During follow-up,the original overlap angle and lateral displacement were remodeled, and limbs were restored to the normal line of force and bone structure. According to Flynn standard, 35 cases got excellent results, 8 cases good, 2 cases fair.
CONCLUSIONThe bridge wire splint fixation with ankle dorsiflexion for the treatment of femoral. shaft fractures in young children (less than 6 years old) is safe, feasible, simple, and has raliable effect, which can be applied in primary hospitals.
