Objective To examine the effects of benazepril and losartan on glomerular podocyte autophagy in aged spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHRs) and investigate the underlying mechanisms of renal-protective effects of angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors (ACEI)/angiotensin receptor blockers (ARB).Methods Wistar-Kyoto rats (WKYs) were used as the normal control (NORM) group (2 ml physiological saline per day).SHRs were randomly divided into 4 groups:the CTRL group (2 ml physiological saline per day),the ACEI group (10 mg · kg-1 · d-1),the ARB group (30 mg· kg-1 ·d-1) and the combined group (10 mg· kg-1 · d-1 benazepril and 30 mg· kg-1 · d-1),with six 18-month-old make rats in each group. The experiments were conducted during a 4-month period.Blood pressure was monitored regularly. At the end of the experiments,we measured the levels of urine protein, urine creatinine, serum creatinine (SCR),blood urea nitrogen (BUN),and serum and renal cortex angiotensin Ⅱ (AngⅡ).Ultrastructural changes in the kidney were examined under light and transmission electron microscopy. The expressions of nephrin,LC3BⅡ,Atg5 and p62 in the glomerulus were analyzed by Western blot analysis. Results After treatment, the blood pressure and the urine albumin/creatinine ratio of the four SHR groups were still significantly higher than those of the NORM group, but the blood pressure and the urine albumin/creatinine ratio of the ARB group and the combined group were significantly lower than those of the CTRL group (all P< 0.05);There were no significant differences in SCR and BUN levels among these five groups (P> 0.05);The level of serum AngⅡ of the combined group was significantly higher than that of the CTRL group [CTRL (0.08±0.00) μg/L,Combined (0.12±0.01) μg/L,P<0.05];The levels of cortex AngⅡ of the four SHR groups were significantly lower than those of the NORM group, while the level of cortex AngⅡ of the ARB group was significantly higher than that of the CTRL group (all P<0.05);Renal ultrastructural examination revealed shrunken glomeruli, fused or effaced epithelial cell foot processes, and focal atrophy of renal tubules in the four SHR groups. These pathological changes were more serious in the CTRL group but less so in the combined group. There were significantly more autophagosomes in the NORM group and the combined group than in the CTRL group (P<0.05).Compared with the NORM group, the expressions of nephrin,LC3BⅡ,Atg5 and p62 in the CTRL group were suppressed significantly (P < 0.05).The expressions of nephrin,LC3BⅡ and Atg5 in the ACEI group and the expressions of nephrin,LC3BⅡ,Atg5 and p62 in the ARB group and the combined group were higher than in the CTRL group (P<0.05).Conclusions ACEI/ARB can decrease the autophagic activity of glomerular podocytes. The renal-protective effects of ACEI/ARB may be mediated by glomerular podocyte autophagy, which is induced by AngⅡ.

West China Journal of Stomatology 2008;26(6):633-639
OBJECTIVETo compare the fracture resistance and failure modes of endodontically treated human upper premolars restored with different post-core systems.
METHODS32 extracted human upper premolars were endodontically treated and crowns were sectioned at 2 mm above the labial cement enamel junction (CEJ). The teeth were randomly and equally divided into 4 groups: Group A, teeth restored with cast metal post and metal crown; group B, Tenax Fiber White fiber post and metal crown; group C, EverStick fiber post 1.5 mm in diameter and metal crown; group D, EverStick fiber post 1.5 mm in diameter and add another 1.2 mm diameter EverStick fiber post and metal crown. All the teeth were embedded in acrylic resin blocks, and were subjected to a compressive load at 1 mm/min crosshead speed which delivered at a 45 degrees to the long axis until the first sign of failure was noted. The fracture load and the mode of fracture were recorded.
RESULTSFracture resistances of the four groups of restored teeth were not significantly different (P>0.05). However, fracture modes in fiber post groups were nearer to CEJ than cast metal post group.
CONCLUSIONFracture resistance of endodontically treated teeth restored with EverStick fiber post is enhanced that it can meet the clinical need, although the flexural resistance of EverStick fiber post itself is the weakest. Fracture modes of all fiber post groups are more favorable than cast metal post group.

Objective To study the effects of the rehabilitation robot-assisted task-oriented training on the hand function in patients after stroke. Methods From June, 2015 to September, 2016, 35 inpatients suffering from stroke were randomly allocated to control group (n=17) and trial group (n=18). Based on the routine rehabilitation, the trial group accepted robot-assisted task-oriented training, while the control group accepted therapist-assisted task-oriented training, for two weeks. They were measured the active range of motion (AROM) of fingers, assessed with fingers motor of Fugl-Meyer Assessment (FMA) and modified Barthel Index (MBI) invovled with hands before and after train-ing. Results The inpatients dropped three in the control group, two in the trial group. AROM of extension and flexion of all the fingers, the AROM of extension and total of three fingers of thumb, index and middle, and the total AROM of each finger improved in the trial group af-ter training (t>2.937, P<0.05), while the AROM of extension and flexion of all the fingers, AROM of extension, flexion and total of the fin-gers of thumb, index and middle, total AROM of the fingers of thumb, index and little improved in the control group after training (t>2.528, P<0.05);the AROM of extension and total of the fingers of thumb, index and middle, and the total AROM of fingers of thumb and index im-proved more in the trial group than in the control group (t>2.535, P<0.05). The scores of mass flexion, mass extension, opposition, cylinder grip, spherical grip and total score of FMA improved in the trial group after training (Z>2.000, P<0.05), while the scores of mass extension, opposition and the total score of FMA improved in the control group after training (Z>2.000, P<0.05). There was no significant difference between the two groups on the items and total scores after training (P>0.05). The scores of feeding, dressing, toilet transfers, bathing, groom-ing of MBI and the total score of them improved in the trial group after training (Z>2.041, P<0.05), while the total score of MBI improved in the control group after training (Z=-2.527, P<0.05). There was no significant difference between the two groups in the items and total scores after training (P>0.05). Conclusion The rehabilitation robot-assisted task-oriented training can improve AROM of hemiplegic fingers and grip function.

Journal of Preventive Medicine 2019;31(11):1097-1099
Objective:
To evaluate the safety of enterovirus 71(EV71)inactivated vaccines produced by Wuhan Institute of Bio Products through learning the incidence of adverse events following immunization(AEFI)in children aged 6 months to 3 years old after vaccination.
Methods:
According to the national requirement for vaccine safety monitoring program, data of AEFI cases after inoculated EV71 vaccines from September 2017 to October 2018 in Zhejiang Province was collected by combining active and passive monitoring. Demographic characteristics, space distribution, dose and incidence of AEFI were analyzed.
Results:
A total of 107 503 children were included in this study,of which 27 173 were actively monitored and 80 330 were passively monitored. The monitoring results showed that 288 cases of AEFI occurred after inoculated EV71 vaccines, the reported incidence rate was 267.90/100 000. Of 288 cases,266 cases had common reactions(247.43/100 000),14 cases had abnormal reactions(13.02/100 000)and 8 cases had complications(7.44/100 000);145 cases were passively monitored(180.51/100 000)and 143 cases were actively monitored(526.26/100 000);150 cases were males and 138 cases were females, with the males to females ratio of 1.09∶1. The AEFI of EV71 vaccines were reported in all the cities of Zhejiang Province, with Jinhua,Taizhou and Hangzhou ranking the top three and accounting for 50.69% of all the reported cases. About 202 cases of AEFI(70.14%)occurred after the first dose of EV71 vaccines, and 163 cases(56.60%)occurred on the day of inoculation. Most of common reactions were fever, swelling and sclerosis. The harm of the reported abnormal reactions was mild, with 8 cases of anaphylactic rash and no other serious abnormal reactions were found.
Conclusion
The reported incidence rate of AEFI of the domestic EV71 vaccine in children aged from 6 months to 3 years is 267.90/100 000,without serious abnormal reactions, suggesting that the EV71 vaccine is safe.
