1.Advances in researches on the optic nerve protection
International Eye Science 2006;6(6):1267-1271
· The mechanisms of regeneration and protection of optic nerve the represent of central nerves are researched more and more profoundly and extensively in recent years. The retinal ganglion cells protection after injury is stopping or preventing it from apoptosis mainly. The methods include glutamic acid inhibitor, nitric oxide (NO) inhibitor, neurotrophic factor, gene therapy, acupuncture, traditional Chinese medicine and so on. However, there have no any medicines or operations that play definite curative role in the retinal ganglion cells protection after injury up to now. So the ganglion cells protection is at its exploratory research stage, which will shoulder heavy responsibilities.

Objective:to study cognitive impairment of patients with Alzheimer disease (AD). Method:62 patients with AD and 159 normal elderly were tested with MMSE. Result:The patients group had lower scores in all subtests except that of naming. Level of education had positive correlation with the total score, subscores of attention and calculation, understanding, and describe graph. Conclusion:MMSE can be used in clinical assessment of cognitive function of patients with AD.

Objective To observe the changes of tongue and pulse parameters in the patients with chronic hepatitis B(CHB)after pegylated interferon alpha-2a(PEG-IFNα-2a)treatment,to investigate its value in evaluation clinical efficacy of PEG-IFNα-2a treatment. Methods 120 patients with CHB who confirmed to the standard received PEG-IFNα-2a antiviral therapy for 48 weeks, and followed up for 24 weeks. The tongue and pulse parameters were detected by DS01-A type digital tongue and pulse presentation analyzer. The changes of liver function, serum HBV markers,HBV DNA,tongue and pulse parameters were observed before and after treatment. Results 113 patients completed the course of treatment,46 cases received complete response(response rate 40.7%).The response rate of liver stagnation and spleen deficiency group was higher than that of blood stasis group(95%CI:0.010-0.677,P <0.05).The baseline of tongue and pulse parameters had no significant difference between response group and non response group(h3 /h1,t =1.799,P =0.074;h4 /h1,t =1.383,P =0.169;h5 /h1,t′=0.461,P >0.05;W/t,t′=0.688,P >0.05;R,t =1.317,P =0.190;G,t =0.346,P =0.729;B,t =1.720,P =0.088).After 48 weeks treat-ment,and followed up for 24 weeks, the tongue and pulse parameters of response group and non response group were compared with baseline,h3 /h1,h4 /h1 decreased,R value and G value increased, the differences were statistically sig-nificant(Response group:h3 /h1,t =3.004,P =0.003;h4 /h1,t =2.702,P =0.008;R,t′=2.258,P <0.05;G,t′=3.052,P <0.05.Non response group:h3 /h1,t =1.978,P =0.049;h4 /h1,t =2.487,P =0.014;R,t′=2.661,P <0.05;G,t′=2.318,P <0.05).But there were no significant differences between the response group and no response group after treatment(h3 /h1,t′=0.191,P >0.05;h4 /h1,t =0.390,P =0.697 2;h5 /h1,t′=0.957,P >0.05;W/t,t =0.149,P =0.881;R,t =1.343,P =0.181;G,t =0.994,P =0.322;B,t =0.565,P =0.572).Conclusion The changes of tongue and pulse parameters have improved after treatment with PEG-IFNαin patients with CHB. However, the value in predicting the efficacy of antiviral therapy may be limited.

The study aims to investigate the embryo-fetus development toxicity of the novel PPAR-δ agonist HS060098 on SD rats. The pregnant rats that were randomly divided into the solvent control group (1% hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose water solution) and HS060098 suspension groups (10, 30 and 100 mg x kg(-1) xd(-1)) were orally administered with HS060098 suspension or vehicle during the gestation of 6 -15 days (GD6-15). At termination (GD20), female rats were sacrificed. The pregnant females were evaluated by corpora lutea count, implantation sites, existence and death of embryos. Fetal sex, weight, externals, variations and malformations of viscus and skeleton were observed. The results show that there were no significant abnormality in maternal general conditions and fetal appearance as well as viscera, but in the 100 mg x kg(-1) x d(-1) group, the maternal weight gain decreased greatly (P < 0.01) and the skeletal ossification delayed remarkably (P < 0.01); in the 30 mg x kg(-1) xd(-1) group, the fatal and litter number of incompletely ossified sternebrae II was higher than those of the control group (P < 0.05); the skeletal malformations occurred in all dose groups, which indicate that the novel PPAR-δ agonist HS060098 had maternal toxicity and adversely effected fetal skeletal development under the experimental conditions.

International Eye Science 2015;(7):1134-1138
AlM: To explore the inhibiting effect of FTY720 on corneal neovascularization ( CNV) of rat.METHODS: MTT assay and cells scratch were adopted to observe hyperplasia of human umbilical vein endothelial cells ( HUVECs ) and cell migration induced by sphingosine-1-phosphate(S1P) after using FTY720 of different concentration. The effect of FTY720 on CNV induced by S1P in a rat corneal micropocket model was detected. 30SD rats were randomly divided into group A, group B and group C with 10 rats per group. S1P and 0μg, 5μg, and 20μg FTY720 controlled-released particles were implanted into the corneal stroma. The growth of CNV and having pathological examination on 12d after the operation was observed. Findings was analyzed by one-way ANOVA.RESULTS: 10, 102 , 103 , and 104 nmol/L FTY720 and HUVECs co-incubate 72h could inhibit cell proliferation (P < 0. 01 ), 24h after the function of 10, 100nmol/L FTY720, it could inhibit S1P-induced cell migration and the ability of restricting cell proliferation and cell migration was enhanced with increasing concentration of FTY720. On 12d, after rat corneal micropocket controlled-release particles was implanted into groups A, B, C, the CNV area were respectively 10. 05±1. 19, 6. 59±0. 95, 2. 70± 0.68mm2(F=145. 155, P<0. 01), group A and group B was statistically different and this was the same case between group B and group C (P<0. 01).CONCLUSlON:FTY720 can inhibit S1P-induced corneal neovascularization.
