Objective To evaluate the imaging findings and its pathologic basis of intrahepatic peripheral cholangiocarcinoma(IHPCC).Methods 25 patients with pathologically proven IHPCC were reviewed retrospectively.B-ultrasonic scanning (BUS) was performed in allpatients.CT(including conventional unenhanced and enhanced scan) was done in 21 patients.11 patients received MRI with dynamicscannings.9 patients underwent digital subtraction angiography(DSA).Results 15 patients were hypoecho and 10 patients were brieflyhyperecho or hyperecho in BUS, homogeneous or heterogeneous. On unenhanced CT, the lesions were of low density with ill-definedborder. The lesions were low intensity on T1WI and moderately high intensity with low intensity in central area on T2WI . Dynamic CT and MRI showed gradually enhancement from the periphery toward the center of the lesion in most patients. Focal dilatation and calculus of the intrahepatic bile ducts around the tumor could be seen and retraction of liver capsule could also be seen in imaging appearance of IHPCC. On selective DSA ,the lesions were resemble to the tumors with rare blood vessels ,on superselective DSA, tumor vascular plexus were tiny and like “flocculus” in arterial period, obvious staining with ill-defined during parenchymal phase in 9 patients. Pathologically, tumor vessels were rare, these were plenty of interstitial fibrous tissue between tumor cells. Conclusion The imaging features of intrahepatic peripheral cholangiocarcinoma are of certain characteristic.

Objective To explore the mechanism of neuropmtective effects of puerarin for the treatment of acute spinal ischenia-reperfusion injury in a rat model. Methods Acute spinal ischemia-reperfusion injury was induced via aortic occlusion in 28 male Sprague-Dawley rats. The animals were randomly divided into four groups,as follows:group negative contrast (NC sham operation),group positive control group (IR+ S ischemia/reperfusion + saline),group puerarin (IR+P ischemia/reperfusion + puerarin),group mscovitine (IR+R ischemia/reperfusion + roscovitine). The motor function, spinal infarction volume, apoptosis indices, and CDK5 and P25 activities were examined. Results Spinal ischemia-reperfusion caused the injury of the spines and was associated with motor deficit, elevation of CDK5 and P25 activities, and increase in the spinal apoptosis and spinal infarction volume.Puerarin improved motor function and decreased apoptosis, spinal infarction volume, and CDK5 and P25 activities. Conclusion The findings of the present study indicated that puerarin treatment-mediated reduction of spinal injury was associated with the inhibition of CDK5 and P25,and that the inhibition was one among the neuroprotective mechanisms of puerarin against acute ischemia/reperfusioninduced spinal injury in rats.

Untargeted metabolomics analysis of rhubarb and stewed rhubarb samples shows that the determined samples clearly clustered in to two groups, indicating that the processing procedures caused changes in the composition and/or content of components in rhubarb. Ten components were identified by UHPLC-Q-TOF-MS/MS and references, which intensity declined in rhubarb after processing. Targeted metabolomics analysis of rhubarb and stewed rhubarb samples indicated that aloe-emodin, rhein, emodin and physcion were detected with lower intensity in stewed rhubarb samples than in rhubarb samples. Metabolomics analysis of rhubarb and stewed rhubarb indicated the various components of rhubarb changed after processing.
