OBJECTIVETo compare the efficacy and tolerability of the regimen FOLFOX [1eucovorin (LV), 5-fluorouracil (5-Fu) and oxaliplatin] and the regimen PLF (Paclitaxel, leucovorin and 5-Fu) for treatment of advanced gastric adenocarcinoma.
METHODSWe retrospectively studied the clinical data of 132 patients with stage IV gastric adenocarcinoma treated by FOLFOX (group A, n=60) or PLF (group B, n=72). The tumor response rate, toxicity, time to progress (TTP) and overall survival (OS) were compared between the two groups.
RESULTSA total of 544 cycles were administrated in these patients. The overall response rate was 35.0% with FOLFOX regimen and 41.7% with PLF regimen, showing no significant difference between them (P>0.05). The TTP was 6.13-/+1.26 (95%CI, 3.65-8.61) months in group A, and 5.92-/+0.49 (95%CI, 4.97-6.87) months in group B; the OS was 10.67-/+1.55 (95%CI, 7.63-13.71) months in group A, and 10.8-/+3.07 (95%CI, 4.78-16.82) months in group B. Neither TTP or OS showed significant differences between the two groups (P>0.05). Five patients in group A (8.33%) and 8 in group B (11.11%) had grade 3 and 4 leukopenia. The non-hematological toxicities were mostly mild, including nausea, vomiting, stomatitis, diarrhea and alopecia. The main adverse effects were grade 1 or 2 sensory neuritis in FOLFOX group, and alopecia in PLF group, without significant difference between the two groups (P<0.05).
CONCLUSIONBoth FOLFOX and PLF can serve as effective first-line treatment of stage IV gastric adenocarcinoma with good tolerance.

Objective: To establish an echocardiography parameter scoring system for assessing the risk of 1 year re-admission in patients with left ventricular systolic dysfunction (LVSD). Methods: A total of 412 chronic LVSD patients treated in our hospital from 2007-01 to 2016-01 were studied and the end point event was 1 year re-admission. The data included in 280 patients from 2007-01 to 2014-12 for establishing the scoring system and 132 patients from 2015-01 to 2016-01 for verifying the system. Based on 7 echocardiography parameters, the patients were divided into 7 sets of groups: ① Left ventricular diameter (LVD): Group0, n=290 and Group1, n=122;② Mitrial regurgitation (MR): Group0, n=203, Group1, n=138 and Group2, n=71; ③ Tricuspid regurgitation (TR): Group0, n=302, Group1, n=90 and Group2, n=20; ④ LVEF: Group0, n=272 and Group1, n=140; ⑤ Pulmonary artery systolic pressure: Group0, n=282 and Group1, n=130; ⑥ Hydropericardium: Group0, n=347 and Group1, n=65; ⑦ Hydrothorax:Group 0, n=261, Group1, n=86 and Group2, n=65. The parameters were identified by COX regression analysis, weighted value of scoring system was calculate by hazard ratio (HR), predictive value for1 year re-admission was assess by ROC curve and finally, scoring integration was verified by validation data group. Results: The integration score was calculated as follows: LVD>60mm=1 point; TR: Group1=1 point and Group2=3 points; MR: Group1=2 points and Group2=4 points; Hydrothorax: Group1=2 points and Group2=3 points;Hydropericardium=1 point. COX regression analysis indicated that for 1 year re-admission: HR=1.552 in Group1 vs Group0, HR=3.374 in Group2 vs Group0 and HR=4.562 in Group3 vs Group0, all P<0.05. The AUC of ROC for establishing the data was 70.0% (95% CI 0.640-0.761) and for verifying the data was 70.4% (95% CI 0.616-0.792); the best integration score was 4 points. Conclusion: Echocardiography parameter scoring system may better predict the risk of 1 year re-admission in LVSD patients which is superior to single echocardiography parameter.

Journal of Public Health and Preventive Medicine 2022;33(6):102-105
Objective To construct and validate a predictive model for the risk of bone metastasis in patients with primary liver cancer. Methods The research was generally divided into two parts: model establishment and model validation. A total of 197 patients with primary liver cancer from January 2018 to June 2018 were selected to be included in the study when building the model, and the nomogram prediction model based on Cox regression was used in the case-control study method. The validation process continued to select 238 patients with primary liver cancer (no bone metastasis) in our hospital (from July 2018 to December 2018) and followed up for 3 years. The information of the prognosis of bone metastasis during the follow-up period was observed and collected to complete the validation. SPSS statistical software and R software were used to complete the data analysis. Results The results of regression analysis at the stage of building the model showed that age, family history of malignant tumor, previous history of hepatitis B, tumor stage, primary focus surgery and tumor differentiation were independent factors affecting the prognosis of patients with bone metastasis (P <0.05). The nomogram clinical prediction model was established by using R software. The prediction model finally included four factors: age, previous history of hepatitis B, primary surgery, and degree of differentiation. The AUC of ROC curve for predicting the risk of bone metastasis was 0.758. Conclusion The nomogram model constructed in this study has a medium to high degree of predictive calibration for predicting the risk of bone metastasis in patients with primary liver cancer within 3 years and is worthy of clinical auxiliary use.

Chinese Journal of Preventive Medicine 2006;40(4):273-280
OBJECTIVETo analyze the difference and correlation of food intakes assessed by Food Weighted Record, 24 Hours Recall and Food Frequency Questionnaire (FFQ) methods.
SUBJECTSThe data of 2002 China National Nutrition and Health Survey were used. All 23,198 subjects (male 11,107, female 12,091) finished all three dietary survey methods. Food Weighted Record method weighted all food items consumed at home by all family members in last 3 days; 24 Hours Recall recorded all food items the subjects consumed at and out home in last 3 days; FFQ recorded the main 33 categories food items that the subjects consumed at and out home in last year.
RESULTSCompared to Food Weighted Record method, food intakes assessed by 24 hours recall were similar, and the relative differences were less than 10% of most food items. The proportion of over-report and under-report (+/- 25%) by 24 Hours Recall were less than 40%. The correlation coefficients of food intakes between Food Weighted Record and 24 Hours Recall methods ranged from 0.58 to 0.88. The results from Food Weighted Record and FFQ were similar among the high frequently consumed food items. The relative differences of the food intakes investigated between Food Weighted Record and FFQ were less than 15% and the proportion of over-report and under-report (+/- 25%) by FFQ were more than 50%. The correlation coefficients of food intakes between Food Weighted Record and FFQ ranged from 0.08 to 0.76.
CONCLUSIONFood intakes might be assessed accurately by the Food Weighted Record revised 24 Hours Recall method, and FFQ method be also used to assess the food intakes, especially for the frequently consumed food items, as to studying the relationship between food consumption and health.
