This paper, from the aspects of neuroendocrine, emotion, learning etc, analyzed comprehensively the characteristics of the influence of prenatal stress (PS) on offspring, including intensity of PS, timing of exposure and individual differences. Despite the variety in methodology, most studies on it indicate that the prenatal stressful events lead to offspring's increased plasma glucocorticoid (GC) level, more depressed-related behaviors and impaired learning abilities. Although mechanism of prenatal stress is still unclear, most studies show that it is concerned with hypothalamio-pituitary-adneral (HPA) axis, dopaminergic (DA-ergic) system, neuropeptide Y (NPY)and serotoninergic (5-HT ergic) system. Moreover, further studies are proposed to pay more attention to the relationship and interaction of various related substances.

To propose the new concept of multidimensional omics, and define that the multidimensional omics is a proper method for studying the material base and mechanism of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) compounds. Zhuanggu Zhitong capsule was taken for example to study its effect against experimental postmenopausal osteoporosis. From the perspective of chemi-omics, genomics and proteomics of TCM, it systematically interpreted the efficacious materials and mechanisms of Zhuanggu Zhitong capsule in preventing and treating experimental postmenopausal osteoporosis, while taking the lead in designing a three dimensional form to intuitively exhibit the results of the multidimensional omics study. This study provides a new idea and solution for studies on the efficacious materials and mechanisms of TCM compounds.

OBJECTIVEAnalysis the epidemiological characteristics on rabies cases occurred in Guangxi from 2004 to 2008 and summarize the result of healthy-dog infection rabies virus investigation from 2006 to 2008. Exploring the high-occurrence and correlated factors on rabies in Guangxi.
METHODSData collected from the National Disease Surveillance System and the National Active Surveillance System for Rabies from 2004 to 2008 and Data of healthy-dog infection rabies virus investigation from 2006 to 2008 were analyzed.
RESULTSThe total rabies cases were 2463 in Guangxi from 2004-2008 and average incidence rate was 0.98 per 100 thousand per year. There were 95 counties had rabies case reported, anyway more than 10 cases occurred county number was declined while less than 5 cases rose year by year. The rabies case incidence area was expanded and the cases in middle and west area of Guangxi rose significantly. Rabies cases were reported whole year and no seasonal peak. Human rabies cases mainly were farmers, students and children. Yanger than 20 years old and elder 40 years old were the highest age groups in the population of the investigation, 83.79% cases were attacked by dogs. 78.5% cases classification category III. 83.17% cases had exposed on the upper and lower limbs, 10.56% exposed to the head, face or neck. But 67.88% cases did not receive any PEP and only 18.31% cases vaccinated and 3.63% category III exposure cases combined administration of RIG. The incubation median was 60 days. The rabies virus infection rate among randomly collection healthy-dog brain samples from 2006 to 2008 was 1.92%, 0.93% and 0.89%.
CONCLUSIONUnsuccessful and inadequate PEP of patients were the main factors leading to the high-occurrence of human rabies in Guangxi. And there are a lot of infection rabies virus healthy-dogs alive in Guangxi also as a high-occurrence factor.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the distribution of tetracycline-arginine-glycine-aspartate-tyrosine (T-RGDY) in mice and its effect on bone.
METHODS125-labeled T-RGDY was studied for its distribution in mice and for its effects on bone by histomorphometry in ovariectomized rats.
RESULTSThe 125I-labeled T-RGDY was more concentrated in the osteoporotic bone than in the normal bone. Compared with ovariectomy group, the morphologic index such as trabecular bone volume/total tissue volume (TBV/TTV), TBV/sponge bone volume (SBV), and mean trabecular plate thickness (MTPT) in T-RGDY group significantly increased (P < 0.05). As compared with sham operation group, MTPT significantly increased in T-RGDY group (P < 0.05), while TBV/SBV and mean trabecular plate density significantly decreased (P < 0.05), and TBV/TYV and mean trabecular plate spacing were almost the same as those in sham operation group (P > 0.05).
CONCLUSIONT-RGDY may concentrate in bone tissue to a certain degree, which is closely related with the status of bone remodeling. T-RGDY may inhibit the bone loss caused by ovariectomy.

OBJECTIVETo study the clinical and pathological features of Denys-Drash syndrome (DDS).
METHODThree DDS cases who were treated in our department from December 2009 to June 2011 were subjected to this study by reviewing of literature.
RESULTBoth case 1 and case 2 were female, with karyotype 46, XX. Case 3 was male with bilateral cryptorchidism. The ages of nephropathy onset of the three cases were 1 year and 9 months, 2 years and 8 moths, and 3 months respectively. Proteinuria in case 2 and case 3 were evidenced to be resistant to steroid. Case 1 was partially responsive to tacrolimus, plasma albumin and cholesterol were improved, although proteinuria was persistent after Tacrolimus was administered. Remission was achieved in case 2 after administration of cyclosporine A and later tacrolimus, and her renal function remains normal till present (4 years and 9 months). Residue renal histology revealed diffused mesangial sclerosis (DMS) in all three patients. All of the three patients had developed right unilateral Wilms tumor. A novel WT1 missense mutation exon 9 c.1213C > G was detected in case 1. WT1 exon 9 c.1168C > T nonsense mutation and exon 8 c.1130A > T missense mutation were detected in case 2 and case 3, respectively.
CONCLUSIONThe clinical manifestation of nephropathy in DDS is variable. The majority present with early onset nephropathy and reach renal failure before the age of 4 years. But in a few patients, nephropathy can also be present much later and progress slowly. Proteinuria in DDS is resistant to steroid but is responsive to calcineurin inhibitors, including Cyclosporine A. The effectiveness of tacrolimus was also observed in this study. DDS is evidently caused by WT1 mutation. DMS is the characteristic renal pathological change in DDS.
