Objective To evaluate the correlation of visual acuity measured using two different types of eye chart in children with amblyopia.Methods 119 cases (213 eyes) amblyopia patients were selected,including 40 cases (80 eyes) of refractive amblyopia,41 cases (58 eyes) of anisometropia amblyopia,and 38 cases (75 eyes) of strabismus amblyopia were selected.Best corrected visual acuity (BCVA) were determined using standard visual chart and visual noise dual chart and the correlation between the two visual acuity result were explored using Spearman's correlation analysis.Results The visual acuity in refractive amblyopia,anisometropia amblyopia and strabismus amblyopia determined by standard visual chart was statistically correlated with that determined by visual noise dual visual acuity chart.Conclusions The visual acuity measured by standard vision chart showed satisfactory linear relationship with that measured by visual acuity chart double among three types of amblyopia,however,the strength of correlation coefficient between different types of amblyopia were different:correlation coefficient in anisometropic amblyopia was the highest,and the coefficient in refractive amblyopia was the lowest.

GP73-positive rate in HCC was higher than that of the normal liver tissues (χ2=73.60, P<0.05). sCLU-positive rate in HCC was also higher than that of the normal liver tissues (χ2=207.94, P<0.05). GP73 expression was positively correlated with sCLU expression in HCC (r=0.405, P<0.05). GP73 and sCLU were associated with clinicopathological features including tumor differentiation, TNM stage and vascular invasion (P<0.05); GP73 and sCLU had no correlation with the patient’s gender, age, HBsAg, cirrhosis, AFP value, portal vein thrombosis and tumor numbers (P>0.05). GP73 was associated with survival but not sCLU. Conclusion:GP73 and sCLU have higher positive rates in HCC and GP73 is positively correlated with sCLU. The expression of GP73 and sCLU are probably closely related with the invasion of HCC, which can help evaluate the prognosis of the patients.

Objective To investigate the compliance and its impact factors of amblyopic children treating with visual perceptual learning.Methods 116 amblyopic children treating with visual perceptual learning were investigated using self-made compliance questionnaire for amblyopic children treating with visual perceptual learning.Results The average compliance score of amblyopia in treatment of visual perceptual learning was(71.45±10.10) points,ranging from 36 to 92 points.The univariate linear regression analysis showed thatawareness of parents on the amblyopia training,communication with medical staff,parents supervise children training and eyesight improvement speed of children were the statistical significant impact factors.The further multivariate linear regression analysis showed that awareness of parents on the amblyopia training and parents supervise children training were also the statistically significant impact factors.Conclusions The compliance of amblyopic children treating with visual perceptual learning was satisfactory and its impact factors were associated with parents,the supervision and awareness of parents were the key impact factors for amblyopic children treating with visual perceptual learning.

Objective To explore the application value of Golgi protein-73 (GP73)and AFP in single and combining form in the diagnosis of primary hepatocelluar carcinoma (PHC).Methods Eighty PHC,65 liver cirrhosis,54 chronic hepatitis patients and 50 controls were selected in the First Afiliated Hospital in Xinjiang Medical University from May to September in 2011,GP73 was detected by ELISA and AFP was measured by clinical chemiluminescence.The sensitivity and specificity of each parameter in single and combining form were evaluated.Results Serum GP73 in PHC group 282.0(163.6-366.7) μg/L,liver cirrhosis group 211.8(107.5-295.7) μg/L,chronic hepatitis group 100.3(61.8-191.3) μg/L and control group 58.3(43.4-83.6) μg/L was tested by Kruskal-Wallis(H =106.6,P ＜0.01).GP73 in PHC group was further compared with liver cirrhosis group,chronic hepatitis group and control group using MannWhitney test,significance was found,(U was 1796.0,826.5,154.0,respectively,all P ＜0.01).In the single form,the sensitivity of GP73 [82.5％ (66/80)] was higher than AFP [66.3％ (53/80),x2 =4.65,P ＜0.05],but the specificity of GP73 [63.3％ (107/169)] was lower than AFP [88.7％ (150/169),x2 =28.91,P ＜0.05].There were 27 AFP negative cases in PHC group,but 22 of them were GP73 positive,making the positive rate of GP73 [81.5％ (22/27)] in PHC patients with AFP negative.There were 14 GP73 negative cases of in PHC group,but 9 of them were AFP positive,making the positive rate of AFP [64.3％ (9/14)] in PHC patients with GP73 negative.In series diagnostic test,the specificity of combining form [95.9％ (162/169)] was higher than AFP [88.7 ％ (150/169),x2 =6.00,P ＜ 0.05] ; in parallel diagnostic test,the sensitivity of combining form [93.8％ (75/80)] was higher than GP73 [82.5％(66/80),x2 =4.84,P ＜0.05].In PHC group,52 patients with HBV infection,10 patients with HCV infection and 18 patients without virus infection,GP73 was 309.5 (170.5-370.5) μg/L,351.0 (274.7-397.9) μg/L and 210.1 (156.8-306.7) μg/L,respectively,no significance was found (H =4.0,P ＞0.05).Conclusion GP73 and AFP have a complementary feature of sensitivity and specificity in the early diagnosis of PHC,some PHC cases with AFP negative can be avoided missing efficiently by parallel diagnostic test.

Objective: To investigate the role of human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVEC) in supporting hematopoiesis and the expansion of hematopoietic stem/progenitor cells in vitro. Methods: According to the fact that HUVEC supernatant has colony stimulating activity shown by methylcellulose colony-forming assay and HUVEC can maintain the survival of mononuclear cells for at least four weeks in vitro, CD34+ cells from umbilical cord blood were seeded with (HUVEC group) or without (control group) HUVEC monolayer. Every week cells were collected and counted, the frequency of CFU-GM was measured by using methylcellulose colony-forming assay, and the percentage of CD34+ and CD41a+ cells was measured by flow cytometry. Results: In control group，all the CD34+ cells died in two weeks. However, in HUVEC group,most nucleated cells and CD34+ cells were expanded by 68.1±14.8 fold and 6.6±1.4 fold，respectively at the third week while CFU-GM expansion reached its peak (5.7±2.1 fold) at the week 2. Moreover, the percentage of CD41a+ cells was enhanced significantly, reaching a maximum (15.6%) at the week 3. Conclusions:HUVEC can support hematopoiesis in vitro and expand the hematopoietic progenitor cells and CD41a+ cells in direct contact coculture.

Objective To investigate the prognostic factors of cervical high-grade squamous intraepithelial lesions treated by cold knife conization with negative margin.Methods Two hundred and sixty-six women with cervical high-grade squamous intraepithelial lesions treated by cold-knife conization with negative margins at Beijing Hospital between Jan 1999 and Jan 2004 were analyzed retrospectively.All patients were followed up with cytology,high-risk human papillomavirus(HPV)test and eolposcopy if necessary.Results The cervical CIN recurrence rate was 8.6% with no incidence of invasive cervical cancer after a median follow-up of 46 months.The recurrence was related to the grade of lesions and gland involvement pathologically.One of 20(5.0%)cases with cervical intraepithelial neoplasia(CIN)Ⅱ,9 of 164(5.5%)cases with CIN Ⅲ(excluding carcinoma in situ,CIS)and 13 of 82(15.8%)cases with CIS recurred(P

OBJECTIVEIncidence and severity of motion sickness (MS) in hot-humid environment are extremely high. We tried to know the effect of two-stage training for reducing incidence and severity of ms.

METHODSSixty male subjects were divided into experimental group and control group randomly. Subjects in experimental group received: (2) adaptation training including sitting, walking and running in hot lab. After adaptation confirmation based on subjective feeling, rectal temperature, heart rate, blood Pressure, sweat rates and sweat salt concentration, we tested both groups by Coriolis acceleration revolving chair test and recorded Graybiel's score and grading of severity to evaluate whether adaptation training was useful; (2) Anti-dizzy training 3m later of deacclimatization contained revolving chair training for 10 times. Then we did the same test as mentioned above to evaluate effect of anti-dizzy training. RESULST: Graybiel' s score and grading of severity had no difference between two groups through acclimatization training (P > 0.05). While they had difference through anti-dizzy training (P < 0.01).

CONCLUSIONAdaptation training seems useless for reducing incidence and severity of MS in hot-humid environment, but anti-dizzy training is useful.

ObjectiveTo approach the taxonomy of polymer hydrogels prepared with composite material science methods.MethodsThe research results which have been obtained were synthesized and analysed in the light of multiscale design viewpoint,and the hydrogel composite materials were classified by the composite ways and its structural levels.Results and ConclusionA kind of taxonomy system was advanced in which new concepts of intermolecular composite,textural composite etc.were induced.Apply-ing these concepts and methods will be helpful to research on composite biomaterials.
