1.Study Progress on Embryonic Stem Cells and Adult Stem Cells Derivated into Male Germ Cells
Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2004;0(08):-
Embryonic stem cells(ESCs),a kind of totipotent cells, can differentiate into cell type of the 3 germ layers.Adult stem cells(ASCs) are pluripotent stem cells, which can self-renew and transdifferentiate into a completely different tissue derivative cells. Thus ASCs can transdifferentiate into germ cells in a certain condition.Great progress has made for the study on human ESCs.However, use of ESCs faces the immunological rejection, oncogenicity and ethical controversies problems, and these limit their uses for treatment of human diseases. On contrast,ASCs can advoid these problems, and they may have a better perspective.Germ cells as carriers of genetic materials, are worth of studying. If male germ cells can be derived from ASCs,this will open the possibilities for the use of these cells for male infertillty in clinical application. In this review,we will introduce the progress on derivation of male germ cells from ESCs and ASCs.

This study is to establish a cell-based model targeting to neuraminidase (NA) of the 2009 H1N1 influenza A virus. NA is an influenza virus structural protein with enzymatic activity of the cleavage of HA-sialic acid interaction to release new viral particles from cells. A model of HIV-1 (pNL4-3.Luc.R(-)E(-)) based pseudovirions packed with HA [hemagglutinin, A/VietNam/1203/2004 (H5N1)] and NA [A/California/04/2009 (H1N1)] was established to evaluate compounds activities on NA function. The viral release can be blocked by neuraminidase inhibitors, oseltamivir and oseltamivir carboxylate, with IC50 of (61 +/- 31) nmol L(-1) and (5.5 +/- 2.9) nmol L(-1) respectively. A point mutation of H275Y on NA leads oseltamivir-resistance. This corresponding mutation was introduced into the system which was also confirmed by oseltamivir and oseltamivir carboxylate.

Journal of Shanghai Jiaotong University(Medical Science) 2006;0(05):-
Objective To investigate the pathological diagnosis of high-grade intraepithelial neoplasia in gastric biopsy.MethodsOne hundred and forty-three cases diagnosed by gastric biopsy as high-grade intraepithelial neoplasia were analyzed by light microscopy, and were compared with the pathological findings of surgical specimens in 60 cases and a second biopsy in 13 cases. Results Among the sixty cases treated surgically following the gastric biopsies,no carcinoma was found in 6,while the other 54 were diagnosed as gastric adenocarcinoma,27 in advanced stage and 27 in early stage, respectively.Fifteen cases were well-differentiated,24 moderately-differentiated,12 poorly-differentiated and 3 were of mucinous type.Four of the 13 cases with a second biopsy were diagnosed as well-differentiated adenocarcinoma,8 low-grade intraepithelial neoplasia and 1 chronic inflammation. The colorectal adenomas-like changes were morphologically found in 6 surgically-treated cases without carcinoma,5 of whom mucous muscles were not found by biopsy.Fibroblastic reactions were found in 9 cases, all of which were diagnosed as adenocarcinoma in surgical specimens. Conclusion Ninety percent of the cases who are diagnosed as high-grade intraepithelial neoplasia by biopsy may have already been complicated with adenocarcinoma. The location and depth of the specimen in gastric biopsy have a considerable influence on pathological diagnosis. The fibroblastic reaction may be considered as an important marker for gastric adenocarcinoma in pathological diagnosis of gastric biopsy.

International Eye Science 2014;(8):1555-1557
AIM: To compare and analyze the stereopsis of intermittent exotropia children under the different backgrounds of dynamic stimuli and static stimuli.
METHODS: We collected 56 children ( male 26, female 30 with intermittent exotropia at the age from 5y to 12y and examined their stereopsis under the different backgrounds of dynamic stimuli and static stimuli using a multidimensional sense perception training software. The differences between the dynamic stereopsis and static stereopsis were compared.
RESULTS: Totally 17 cases ( 30%) had both dynamicstereopsis and static stereopsis, 39 cases ( 70%) had either dynamic or static stereopsis deficit, only 10 cases ( 26%) had dynamic stereopsis, 25 cases ( 64%) static stereopsis left and 4 cases ( 10%) were without any form of stereopsis. The positive rate of dynamic stereopsis was better than the positive rate of static stereopsis, with statistical significance (P<0. 05).
CONCLUSION: Dynamicstereopsis is better than the static stereopsis to intermittent exotropia children.

Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2004;0(09):-
Objective To investigate the effects of dibutylphthalate (DBP) on the proliferation and apoptosis of HL-60 leukemic cells and to study its mechanism to purge leukemic cells. Methods The effects of DBP on proliferation of HL-60 leukemic cells were measured by cell culture method. The effects on apoptosis were measured by the percentage of the apoptotic cells in morphology and of the DNA fragmentation and by DNA gel electrophoresis. The intracellular free Ca~(2+) concentration ([Ca~(2+)]i) of leukemic cells were measured by Fura-2AM method. The protein expressions of c-myc and bcl-2 genes of leukemic cells were measured by immunohistochemical assay. Results DBP could suppress the proliferation of HL-60 leukemic cells in a dose-dependent and time-dependent manner and induce them to die via apoptosis. It could elicit a intracellular Ca~(2+) redistribution and a potent extracellular calcium influx. It also down-regulated the protein expressions of c-myc and bcl-2 genes of HL-60 leukemic cells. Conclusion DBP can purge (HL-60) leukemic cells in vitro by increasing [Ca~(2+)]i of cells to initiate apoptosis and down-regulating bcl-2 and c-myc proto-gene expressions to promote cell apoptosis.

Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2006;12(6):545-546
ObjectiveTo investigate sleep disorder of patients with depression and find out the regularity.Methods78 depression cases in the east-region of Shenyang were evaluated by Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) questionnaire and mental health symptom checklist-90 (SCL-90). The results were contrasted with normal control group.Results63 depression cases (80%) had sleep disorder (PSQI scores≥8) and were significantly higher than normal control group. The PSQI evaluation showed that sleep quality, enter-sleep time, sleep efficiency, sleep disorder, hypnotige drugs, function of daytime and total scores of PSQI of the depression group were significantly higher than that of normal control group (P<0.05~0.01). The SCL-90 test showed that scores of somatic, obsessive, depressive, anxiety, phobia, paranoid and mental-illness, etc. and total quota of bad-sleep quality group were significantly higher than that of the fine-sleep quality group (P<0.05~0.01).ConclusionDepression patients have significantly descent in sleep quality, latter is often closely related to the mental psychotic expressiveness of somatic, obsession, depression, anxiety, phobia, etc.
