To study preliminarily the effect of Jiawei Bazhen decoction combined with oxytocin in promoting cervical ripening of full-term pregnancy women who were in the deficiency of qi and blood type through the syndrome differentiation of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). 180 patients that met the inclusion criteria of the study were randomly divided into three groups: the control group(oxytocin group), the treatment group (Jiawei Bazhen decoction combined with oxytocin group), the blank control group (expected and observation group). Cervical maturity score (Bishop score), vaginal and cervical secretions fetal fibronectin (FFN), the result of induced labor, the result of mother and baby were observed in each group before and after treatment. The result comes out that the cervical Bishop score of pregnant women for treatment group were significantly higher than the control group and blank control group after treatment (P < 0.05). The FFN of pregnant women for the treatment group were significantly different from the control group and blank control group after treatment (P < 0.05). The pregnancy outcome of the three groups: the labor rate and rate of vaginal delivery of the treatment group were higher than the other two groups, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). The cesarean section rate of the treatment group was significantly lower than the other two groups, the difference was also statistically significant (P < 0.05). The three groups did not appear the phenomenon of neonatal asphyxia. Jiawei Bazhen decoction combined with oxytocin is effective in producing cervical ripening and induce labor. It is convenient, safe and reliable, for it is no obvious adverse effects on mother and fetus, but effective in reducing the rate of cesarean section, and playing a positive role in promoting natural delivery.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the reverse effect of mutidrug resistance of curcumin combined with melphalan on the mutidrug-resistant human multiple myeloma cell line MOLP-2/R and the relation with FA/BRCA pathway.
METHODSThe inhibitory effects of the drugs on the growth of MOLP-2/R cells were determined by MTT assay. Cell cycle analysis, intracellular drug concentration and apoptosis were assayed by flow cytometry. The expression of FANCD2 monoubiquitination was determined by Western blot analysis.
RESULTSCo-administration of curcumin and melphalan had an synergistic inhibitory effects on the proliferation, IC50 of melphalan with 10 micromol/L curcumin reduced from 45.5 micromol/L to 19 micromol/L in MOLP-2/R cells. The apoptosis percentage of MOLP-2/R cells was significantly increased from (23.3 +/- 0.6)% to (52.6% +/- 0.8)% by the treatment of melphalan 20 micromol/L plus curcumin 10 micromol/L with the increased percentage of cells in the G2/M phase (from 9.1% to 18.5%) and enhanced intracellular drug concentration of MOLP-2/ R cells (from 15.2 +/- 0.3 to 21.4 +/- 0.8 ). The effects were accompanied with inhibition of FA/BRCA pathway by down regulation of FANCD2 protein monoubiquitination.
CONCLUSIONCurcumin combined with melphalan results in synergistic effects and reverses multiple drug resistance of MOLP-2/R cells effectively. The inhibition of FA/BRCA pathway may be the mechanism.

OBJECTIVETo establish and evaluate a mouse model of bronchial asthma with Yin deficiency syndrome.
METHODSThe mouse model of bronchial asthma with Yin deficiency syndrome was established by the treatment with injecting ovalbumin (OVA) two times to sensitize, inhaling OVA 14 times to stimulate, and using thyroxin through lavage during late stimulation. This model was evaluated through body weight, asthmatic behaviors, respiratory function, autonomous activity, lung pathology, and pulmonary fluid clearance.
RESULTSOVA combined with thyroxin was an appropriate method to induce the mouse model with increased food and water intake, autonomous activity, asthmatic behaviors score, and respiratory rate, decreased body weight, tidal volume, and wet/dry ratio of lung, and changed with pathology of lung tissue. The changes of the above mentioned parameters indicated that the model was the bronchial asthma with Yin deficiency syndrome.
CONCLUSIONThe OVA combined with thyroxin is a good pattern to establish a mouse model of bronchial asthma with Yin deficiency syndrome successfully, which can highly simulate the clinical symptoms of this disease.

BACKGROUND: Unicompartment knee arthroplasty (UKA) is gradually applied in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis, and the management of perioperative blood loss is a hot spot in clinical research. It is very important to control perioperative blood loss and changes in hemoglobin level for postoperative rapid recovery. OBJECTIVE: To investigate the changes in the blood-related indexes during the management of perioperative blood loss in UKA, so as to provide technical reference and data reference for clinical application. METHODS: Clinical data 70 patients undergoing UKA at the Department of Bone and Joint of Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Chinese Medicine from January to December 2015 were analyzed retrospectively, and received the management of perioperative blood loss. The operation time, intraoperative blood loss, postoperative drainage volume, total blood loss and rate of blood transfusion were recorded; the preoperative hemoglobin, albumin, coagulation indexes, D-dimer, erythrocyte sedimentation rate and C-reactive protein were investigated. The effect of operation on the postoperative blood loss and drainage volume was analyzed. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: (1) The operation time was (89.36±19.89) minutes, intraoperative blood loss was (39.71±23.64) mL, postoperative drainage volume was (56.21±34.21) mL, and rate of autologous blood transfusion was 0. (2) The operation time exerted no effect on the intraoperative blood loss (P=0.685 7), but affected on the postoperative drainage volume (P=0.021 6). (3) The total postoperative blood loss was little, and the blood loss did not differ significantly at 3 hours, 1, 3 and 7 days postoperatively (P > 0.05). (4) There was a slight decline in hemoglobin on days 1-3 after surgery, and then returned slowly; the erythrocyte sedimentation rate and C-reactive protein increased rapidly within 1 day after surgery and declined within 1-3 days; the D-dimer rapidly increased on day 1 after surgery, then rapidly decreased on days 1-3, and then slowly increased on days 3-7; the plasma total protein and albumin were stable and fluctuated in the normal range within 1-3 days. (5) These results suggest that the UKA had short operation time, few total blood loss and slight fluctuation, and the blood-related indexes exhibit different fluctuations. Moreover, the preoperative management of blood loss can reduce the total blood loss and rate of blood transfusion..
