In order to study the variation of complex impedance and characteristic parameters on human normal and tumor lung tissue during the extracorporeal time, we established a real part-imaginary part chart of complex impedance on lung tissue which provided the basic theory and the reference data for research on elementary medicine and clinical diagnosis of lung cancer and meanwhile provided prior information for electrical impedance tomography (EIT) research. In the experiment carried out in our laboratory, when operation was finished, we kept the lung cancer tissue and normal tissue neatly separated into the cylindrical testing cavities and kept the temperature and humidity at expected values. Then the measurements of complex impedance property are performed at frequency from 1 000 Hz to 30 MHz using 4294A impedance analyzer of Aglient Company. With time changing, the results showed that there was a significant change occurring on the complex impedance of human normal and tumor lung tissue. However, the impedance of normal lung tissue is greater than that of tumor lung tissue. We consider that this change should be related to the change in extracellular fluid, intracellular fluid and cell membrane.

OBJECTIVE To develop a rapid method for simultaneously identifying Staphylococcus aureus(SA) and its resistance against meticillin. METHODS The target strains authenicated to Staphylococcus by traditional methods(appearance,Gram-stain,catalase) first, then using Slidex~staph.plus to authenticate SA;establishing traditional method or coagulase test and ATB-ID32STAPH system for verification. The penicillin-binding protein 2a(PBP2a) was examined by Slidex MRSA Detection, establishing resistance oxacillin sieving test and mecA gene was examined by PCR for verification. RESULTS The 135 strains were positive and 321 strains were negative for Slidex~staph.plus from 456 strains. The 127 S.aureus strains and eight others were confirmed from 135 positive strains finally,11 SA strains and 310 other strains were confirmed from 321 negative strains, there were 92.0% for sensitivity and 97.5% for specificity in this method. The 52 strains PBP2a positively confirmed to meticillin-resistant S.aureus(MRSA) using Slidex MRSA Detection and 57 MRSA strains were confirmed using resistance oxacillin sieving test or PCR from 138 strains. There were 91.2% for sensitivity and 100% for specifity in this method. CONCLUSIONS The duplex Slidex~-staph monoclonal antibody examinated to SA and confirmed to MRSA has higher sensitivity and specificity.

Objective To study the effects of cardiac and pulmonary response in pailents with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD) on their exercise capacity. Methods Thirty four patients with COPD(including 8 patients in stage Ⅰ,15 patients in stage Ⅱ,10 patents in stage Ⅲ and 1 patent in stage Ⅳ and 24 healthy controls performed incremental exercise testing.Oxygen uptake(VO_2) and carbon dioxide output(VCO_2)were measured breath-by-breath.Arterial blood samples were drawn both at rest and peak exercise. Results The VO_2 at peak exercise was significantly lower in COPD group than in control group(15.81±3.65ml/min/kg vs 18.96±6.10ml/min/kg,P=0.042).The respiration reserve was lower in COPD patients compared to controls. The rBorg dyspnea score at the peak exercise for COPD patents was 4.24±2.01,significantly higher than that for controls(1.754±1.50).Oxygen pulse and heart rate reserve had not statistically difference between COPD group and control group.Significant increase of PO_2 and PCO_2 were found during exercise, which were 26.374±15.40 vs 10.26±22.65 mmHg and 42.33±3.65 vs 40.29±4.46 mmHg respectively compared to at rest. Conclusion Abnormal pulmonary response to exercise might be the main cause inducing exercise intolerance in patents with COPD.

Objective To investigate the feasibility and efficacy of posterior retroperitoneoscopic adrenalectomy (PRA).Methods To review the clinical data of 35 patients who underwent posterior retroperitoneoscopic adrenalectomy from September 2013 to September 2015.There were 14 males and 21 females, aged 15-70 years, with an average of 45.8 years.Preoperative CT scan was performed to determine the size, shape and location of the tumor.Tumor diameter 10-60 mm, average 31 mm.Results 35 operations were successfully accomplished via the posterior approach. The operation time was 38-138 min (mean 70.1 min) ,and the drainage tube indwelling time was 1-5 d(average 2.1 d) ,the hospital stay was 2-6d(average 3.7 d).Total hospital costs were 14 789-31 992 yuan, average of 21 239 yuan.No complications occurred during the perioperative period. Conclusions Posterior retroperitoneoscopic adrenalectomy might provide clear anatomical views. It could be a safe and effective operation for the clinical treatment of adrenal tumors.

[Summary] Osteoporosis in elderly women are commonly accompanied by elevated levels of ferritin. Abnormal iron metabolism plays a key role in the progress of osteoporosis. Research on bone metabolic disorders caused by iron accumulation remains at the exploratory stage, including NF-κB pathway in differentiation of osteoclasts. A review on the relationship between NF-κB pathway and osteoporosis induced by iron accumulation is herewith presented, with a view to provide further ideas for transforming the clinical outcomes.

Journal of Geriatric Cardiology 2009;6(3):147-150
Objective Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) increases the risk of cardiovascular problem. The symptom of dyspnea on exertion may be associated with pulmonary dysfunction or heart failure, or both. The study objective was to determine whether cardiac dysfunction adds to the mechanism of dyspnea caused mainly by impaired lung function in patients with mild-to-moderate COPD. Methods Patients with COPD and healthy controls performed incremental and constant work rate exercise testing. Venous blood samples were collected in 19 COPD patients and 10 controls before and during constant work exercise for analysis of N-terminal-pro-BNP (NT-pro-BNP). Results Peak oxygen uptake and constant work exercise time (CWET) were significantly lower in COPD group than in control group (15.81±3.65 vs 19.19a±6.16 ml/min kg, P=0.035 and 7.78±6.53 rain vs 14.77±7.33 min, P=0.015, respectively). Anaerobic threshold, oxygen pulse and heart rate reserve were not statistically significant between COPD group and control group. The NT-pro-BNP levels both at rest and during constant work exercise were higher in COPD group compared to control group, but without statistical significance. The correlations between CWET and NT-proBNP at rest or during exercise in patients with COPD were not statistically significant. Conclusions Heart failure does not contribute to exercise intolerance in mild-to-moderate COPD.
