ObjectiveTo investigate the clinical features and risk factors of elderly hospitalized patients with post-stroke hypertension (PSH).MethodsThe data including sex, age and blood pressure of 300 elderly PSH patients were analyzed retrospectively to find out the influence factors related to PSH.ResultsCompared with younger patients, the elderly patients had lower incidence of limb paralysis, disturbance of consciousness, while high frequency of headache and emesis on admission; hypertension, diabetes, smoking and alcohol abuse were significantly less frequent, while coronary heart disease and pneumonia were more common in elderly patients. Blood pressure especially systolic pressure of elderly PSH patients raised obviously .ConclusionElderly stroke patients have distinctive risk factors and clinical features, which are different from younger patients.

Infection and inflammatory response can induce the brain damage in neonate, but the mechanism involved in it has not been elucidated completely.Proposed mechanisms include inflammatory response, cytokine and free radical-mediated injury, and excitatory amino acids-induced injury. The activation of microglia and selective vulnerability of immature oligodendrocyte play an important role in the whole process.Recent researches show that the fetal inflammatory response and complex gene regulation are also involved in the infection-induced brain damage.

Objective To compare the therapeutic effects of recurrent pterygium treated by microsur- gical management. Methods Sixty-two cases(67 eyes)with recurrent pterygiumwere randomly divided into limbal stem cell autograft transplantation comblined with mitomycin C(34 cases38 eyesand limbal stem cell autograft transplantation(28 cases29 eyes)The post operative follow-up period was 6 to 30 months.Re- suits One eye recurrence was noted in the trial groupthe recurrent rate was 2.63%Three eyes recurrence was noted in the control groupthe recurrent rate was 10.34%There was statistical significant difference be- tween two groups(P0.05).Conclusion Limbal stem cells autograft transplantation combined with mitomycin C can decrease the recurrent rate.It is an ideal methods of recurrent pterygium surgical procedureis worth spreading.

To build a reversed phase ion-pair chromatography to determination content of Dencichine from Panax notoginseng. Using Tetrabutyl ammonium hydroxide ions by the combination of reagent and HPLC method without derivatization to test the content of dencichine directly. The optimum conditions of supersonic extraction were solid-to-liquid ratio 1: 20, Continuous ultrasonic extraction: twice, each time 15 minutes; 3,500 r · min⁻¹, then centrifuging 15 minutes. Dencichine in different age, place, part and the different Processing mode were examined. The method is simple with sound separation degree and stability, which can facilitate the determination of dencichine content directly and provide the basis in quality standard of raw material.

Chinese Journal of Immunology 2014;(12):1591-1595
Objective:To investigate YKL-40-mediated inflammation in human bronchial epithelial cells and analyzed the soluble factors secreted by bronchial epithelial cells exposed to YKL-40 that were responsible for increasing proliferation and migration of primary normal human bronchial smooth muscle cells (BSMCs).Methods:YKL-40-induced inflammation was assayed in two human bronchial epithelial cells (BEAS-2B cell line and primary human bronchial epithelial cells ,namely HBECs).In addition,we treated BEAS-2B cells and HBECs with YKL-40,and added the conditioned culture media ( YKL-40-BEAS-2B-CM) and ( YKL-40-HBECs-CM) to BSMCs.The proliferation and migration of BSMCs were determined by premixed WST-1 cell proliferation reagent and QCM chemotaxis migration assay ,respectively. Results: Bronchial epithelial cells treated with YKL-40 resulted in a significant increase of IL-8 production, but have no effect about RANTES ,Eotaxin and TNF-α.YKL-40-BEAS-2B-CM and YKL-40-HBECs-CM induced IL-8 was found to further stimulate proliferation and migration of BSMCs ,and the effects were inhibited after neutralizing IL-8.Conclusion:Through investigating the interaction of airway epithelium and smooth muscle ,our findings implicate that YKL-40 may be involved in the inflammation of asthma by induction of IL-8 from epithelium, subsequently contributing to BSMCs proliferation and migration. Moreover, inhibition of IL-8 signaling is a potential therapeutic target for YKL-40-induced inflammation and remodeling of asthma.

Objective To explore the expressions of matrix metalloproteinases-1(MMP-1) and tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase-1(TIMP-1) in sternomastoid muscle and explore the pathogenesis of sternomastoid muscle fibrosis in congenital fibra muscular torticollis in children. Methods The hyperplastic state of collagen fiber were determine by Masson collagen stainning method and muscular torticollis and fibra torticollis was differed, obtained 22 cases of the fibra torticollis group.Immunohistochemical method was used to determine the expression of MMP-1 and TIMP-1 in sternomastoid muscle of fibra torticollis and compared them with 6 cases of control group. Results By the immunohistochemical method, the expression of MMP-1 in the experiment group significantly decreased than that in control group(P0.05).Conclusion In congenital fibra torticollis, the sternomastoid muscle fibrosis is related to the decrease of MMP-1.

Objective To describe the sonographic appearance of mesenchymal hamartoma of the liver(MHL)and to analyze the diagnostic value of ultrasound. Methods Eleven surgically and pathologically confirmed cases of MHL from January 2005 to May 2011 in the Beijing Children′s Hospital were retrospectively reviewed. Results Ultrasound examinations showed 9 cystic hamartomas, including 7 multiseptate cystic and 2 monocystic lesions.Of the 7 multiseptate cystic hamartomas,4 had a honeycomb appearance and 3 had irregularly-distributed multiple cysts with varied septations.Of the 2 monocystic hamartomas,1 had a large cystic portion while the other was mainly solid with approximately 4% cystic portion of the tumor. Two cases in this group were solid, presenting with a well-defined homogenous mass. Conclusions Ultrasonography is an effective imaging modality for the diagnosis for MHL.A mixed or a mainly-cystic liver mass found in a child less than 2 years old should be suspicious for MHL.
