This article is to overview the literature of syndrome differentiation of traditional Chinese medicine on hypertension. According to the theory of disease in combination with syndrome, we concluded syndrome types of hypertension in four aspects, including national standards, industry standards, teaching standards and personal experience. Meanwhile, in order to provide new methods and approaches for normalized research, we integrated modern testing methods and statistical methods to analyze syndrome differentiation for the treatment of hypertension.

In this article we analyzed the current development of moxibustion treating rheumatoid arthritis from the usefulness, advancement, synergistic effect as well as the variance between different kind of moxibustion. We concluded that moxibustion was an effective intervention for treating RA, and the methods used in moxibustion were searched in clinic. But the clinical tralls has a long way to go, we should pay more attention to the critical issues while in the use of moxibustion.

Recent years, the pathogenesis of hypertension in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) has been changed. Kidney-deficiency has become the key of modern pathogenesis, and the new problem of treating hypertension. It has become the new strategy for treating hypertension with kidney-nourishing herbal medicine. This article reviewed the clinical and experimental researches of kidney-nourishing herbal medicine, including single herb, herbal formulae and traditional Chinese patent medicine, in order to strengthen the evidence of kidney-nourishing herbal medicine for treating hypertension.

Objective:To evaluate the effects of endovascular embolization and microsurgical clipping on cognitive function in patients with intracranial aneurysm.Methods:A total of 80 patients with intracranial aneurysms,who were treated in Chongqing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from March 2014 to September 2015,were selected and randomly divided into control group(n=40) and experimental group (n=40).The control group was treated with microsurgical clipping,and the experimental group,with endovascular embolization.The postoperative cognitive function was assessed by the mini mental state examination scale (MMSE),and length of stay,in-hospital mortality rate,mortality rate in 1 year and the incidence of postoperative adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results:The total score (26.78± 0.85) of MMSE in the experimental group was higher than that (22.25± 0.63) of the control group (P＜0.05).The cognitive dysfunction rate (37.50％) of the experimental group was lower than that (55.00％) of the control group (P＜0.05).The length of stay [(6.7± 3.9) days] of the experimental group was lower than that [(9.6± 4.5) days] of the control group(P＜0.05).There were no significant differences in in-hospital mortality rate and mortality rate in 1 year,and the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P＞0.05).Conclusion:Endovascular interventional therapy can improve the cognitive function of the patients with intracranial aneurysms and shorten the length of hospital stay.

Cerebral apoplexy is one of the main causes of death in the middle-aged and elderly population,which has higher mortality and disability rate.The incidence of the disease is increasing year by year and it is a serious threat to human life and health.Therefore,it is of great significance to find an effective target for the diagnosis and treatment of stroke.Thioredoxin (Trx) is the major thiol reducing agent in the cells,it is involved in many signal transduction pathways in the cells by regulating the redox state of the cell.It has disulphide reductase activity,which can reduce the oxidative stress injury in the rats after the stroke.Thioredoxin interacting protein (TXNIP) is an endogenous inhibitor of Trx,it can destroy the redox balance and promote the oxidative stress by binding/inhibiting the activity of Trx,while the inhibition or knockdown of TXNIP has obvious neuroprotective effects.Recent studies suggest that Trx/TXNIP may be involved in the pathophysiology of cerebral apoplexy by a variety of pathways.This article analyses the research status of Trx/TXNIP and studies the localization of Trx system in the central nervous system and the progress of Trx system in ischemic cerebral apoplexy.It reviews the mechanism of Trx/TXNIP in cerebral apoplexy and prospectes the signaling pathways involved in the pathophysiological process of Trx/TXNIP to provide new ideas for the treatment of cerebral apoplexy.

Objective To explore the effect of chemokine CXCL12 and its receptor CXCR4 on proliferation,migration and invasion of epithelial ovarian cancer cells.Methods CXCR4 and CXCL12 mRNA and protein expression of human ovarian cancer cell line CAOV3 was detected by RT-PCR and immunocytochemistry.Integrin ?1 and vascular endothelial growth factor-C(VEGF-C)mRNA expression were detected in CAOV3 cells stimulated by CXCL12.The CAOV3 cells were divided into 6 groups:control group(un-stimulated),experimental group 1(stimulated by 100 ng/ml CXCL12),experimental group 2 (stimulated by 10 ng/ml CXCL12),experimental group 3(100 ng/ml CXCL12 and 10 ?g/ml neutralizing CXCR4 antibody),experimental group 4(100 ng/ml CXCL12 and 1 ?g/ml CXCR4 antagonist AMD3100),experimental group 5(10 ?g/ml neutralizing CXCR4 antibody or ascites).Methyl thiazolyl tetrazolium(MTT)was used to analyze the effects of different concentrations of CXCL12 on CAOV3 cell proliferation.Transwell invasion chamber and reconstructed basement membrane(Matrigel)were used to evaluate effect of various concentrations of CXCL12 and ascites on CAOV3 cell migration and invasion. Pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH), also named as a cancer of cardiovascular disease, is a rare disease and has complicated pathogenesis. Recently, there are more understandings of PAH pathogeneses. According to the pathogenesis and active pathways, the clinically used drugs are classified into several groups incluidng prostacyclin analogues and prostacyclin receptor agonists, endothelin receptor antagonists, phosphodiesterase-5 inhibitors, soluble guanylate cyclase inhibitors, etc. To elevate the efficacy of the drugs, numerous drug delivery systems are developed. This review mainly summarized the pathological mechanism of PAH, drugs and drug delivery approaches in the treatment of PAH.

Mutation (substitution, deletion, insertion, etc.) in nucleotide acid causes the maximal sequence lengths of exact match (MALE) between paralogous members from a duplicate event to become shorter during evolution. In this work, MALE changes between members of 26 gene families from four representative species (Arabidopsis thaliana, Oryza sativa, Mus musculus and Homo sapiens) were investigated. Comparative study of paralogous' MALE and amino acid substitution rate (d(A)<0.5) indicated that a close relationship existed between them. The results suggested that MALE could be a sound evolutionary scale for the divergent time for paralogous genes during their early evolution. A reference table between MALE and divergent time for the four species was set up, which would be useful widely, for large-scale genome alignment and comparison. As an example, detection of large-scale duplication events of rice genome based on the table was illustrated.
