Journal of International Oncology 2006;0(02):-
Objective To evaluate therapeutic effect of zoledronic acid combined with chemotherapy in patients with cancer and bone metastases. Methods 60 patients with cancer and skeletal me-tastases were devided randomly into tow groups, 30 patients received zoledronic acid combined with chemotherapy, 30 patients only received chemotherapy. Cheotherapeutic program of tow groups were same. Results Response rate of bone pain relief was 83. 3% in zoledronic acid combined with chemotherapeutic group and 56.7% in chemotherapy alone group. Response rate of skeletal metastases was 53. 3% in zoledronic acid combined with chemotherapy group and 20. 0% in chemotherapy alone group. Response rate of movement capacity improvement was 73. 3% in zoledronic acid combined with chemotherapeutic group and 30. 0% in chemotherapy alone group. The therapeutic effect of zoledronic acid combined with chemotherapy group was better than that of chemotherapy alone group( P

0.05).The most common toxicity was neutropenia and nausea. There are no serious nausea, damage of liver and kidney functions and grade 4 neutropenia in the study group. The side-ef- fects,in the study group, such as hemorrhage, infection, medicine outleakage, catheter obstruct, catheter slough,gastric-intestinal perforation, and fever did not appear. Conclusion Although this study was conduct- ed in a small number of patients and short time, compared with the control group, the study group had a ben- eficial effect in peritoneal recurrence after curative gastrectomy for advanced gastric cancer and had less side effect and good toleration. It played a role in enhancing 1-year overall survival rate. The combination of intra- venous and intraperitoneal chemotherapy after gastrectomy may have better treatment effect on gastric cancer than that of intravenous chemotherapy alone. The randomized controlled trials are required.

Journal of Shanghai Jiaotong University(Medical Science) 2006;0(12):-
Objective To study the characteristics, diagnosis and therapeutic principles of postmenopausal ovarian masses. Methods The clinical data of 261 postmenopausal women were reviewed to understand the characteristics, best diagnostic measures and therapeutic principles of postmenopausal ovarian masses. Results Among the post-(menopausal) ovarian masses,27.9% were malignant and 5.36% were boundary. No symptoms were found in(44.4%) of the patients. Before operation, the characteristics of masses can be identified by B-mode sonography, color Doppler sonography and CA-125 detection.Simple adnexectomy was performed for most of the benign ovarian masses and cytoreductive surgery for malignancies. Conclusion Regular examinations should be performed on postmenopausal women for ovarian masses, and B-mode sonography, color Doppler sonography and CA-125 detection be employed in the case of necessity.Once the ovarian masses are confirmed, surgeries may be the best choice for patients.

OBJECTIVE:
To introduce the efficacy of three surgical options for juvenile nasopharyngeal angiofibroma (JNA) resection, and causes of operative bleeding.
METHOD:
Retrospective analysis of 36 JNAs,three surgical options were used to resect the tumor. There were 15 cases of Class I tumors , using endoscopic nasal cavity approach. Eighteen cases of class II tumors, via extended Caldwell-Luk incision, using the transantral-infratemporal fosse-nasal cavity combined approach for tumor resection. Three cases of class III tumors, the combined intracranial and extra-cranial approach was used to resect the tumor. Meanwhile, report six typical cases for reference.
RESULT:
Fifteen (15/36) cases of class I tumors, 14 cases were completely resected for the first time without recurrence, 1 recurrence case was re-resected using the same approach. Eighteen (18/36) cases of class II tumors, 13 cases were completely resected for the first time without recurrence, 5 recurrence cases were re-resected totally. Three (3/36) cases of class III were not completely removed, and underwent about 40 Gy radiotherapy with good effects.
CONCLUSION
Using these three surgical options can effectively remove different types of JNA. When necessary, the intracranial residue can use radiotherapy. Under direct vision to separate the tumor, and effective hemostasis play crucial roles for complete removal of the tumor.

China Journal of Chinese Materia Medica 2014;39(12):2222-2226
In this study, the psbA-trnH sequence as DNA barcode was used to evaluate the accuracy and stability for identification pteridophyte medicinal material Pyrrosiae Foliumas from adulterants. Genomic DNA from 106 samples were extracted successfully. The Kimura 2-Parameter (K2P) distances and ML tree were calculated using software MEGA 6.0. The intra-specific genetic distances of 3 original plants were lower than inter-specific genetic distances of adulterants. The ML tree indicated that Pyrrosiae Folium can be distinguished from its adulterants obviously. Therefore, the psbA-trnH sequence as a barcode of the pteridophyte, can accurately and stably distinguish Pyrrosiae Folium from its adulterants.
