Objective The aim of this study was to investigate the feasibility and clinical value of detecting sentinel lymph node (SLN) with combined radioisotope and blue dye method in early stage cervical cancer. Methods Between March 2005 and April 2006, 50 patients with cervical cancer, who were staged Ⅰ b and Ⅱ a by International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO), underwent SLN detection with preoperative lymphoscintigraphy. A dose of 148 MBq (4×10-4L) 99Tcm-sulfur colloid (SC) was injected into the uterine cervix at 3 and 9 o'clock position with lymphoscintigraphy taken at 15-60 min after injection. Intraoperative detection of "hot spot" lymph nodes was performed with a handheld gamma probe (γ-detection). During operation, 2-4 ml metend blue dye (BD-detection) was injected into the uterine cervix at the same positions. All patients underwent hysterectomy and pelvic lymphadenectomy. The spatial and pathological relationships of the SLN samples were compared between the two methods. SPSS 13.0 was used for statistical analysis. Results The detection rate of SLN with combined radioisotope and blue dye was 96.0% (48/50). γ-detection alone was 92.0% (46/50) and BD-detection alone was 70.0% (35/50, x2=4.92, P<0.05). In 37 patients lymphoseintigraphy showed the same SLN as γ-detection did, with a coincidence rate of 74.0% (37/50). The SLN with metastases were confirmed by histopathology in 11/48 (22.9%) patients. In the remaining 37 patients with SLN negative for metastasis, there was 1 case with non-SLN showing metastasis. In the 2 patients negative for SLN, 1 was positive for non-SLN metastasis. The SLN accuracy rate was therefore 97.9% (47/48), and the negative predictive value was 97.3% (36/37) with one patient false negative. About 72.3 % (115/159) of SLN were found in obturator region, 5.0% (8/ 159) in iuteriliac region, 12.0% (19/159) in external iliac chain, 6.9% (11/159) in common iliac region and 3.8% (6/159) in parametrium. The number of left-sided SLN detected was more than that of the right (x2=5.06, P=0.021 ). Conclusion Combined radioisotope and blue dye technique is a feasible and valuable tool to detect pelvic SLN in patients with early uterine cervical malignancy.

? AIM: To investigate the influence of phacoemulsification on corneal endothelial cells and its injury risk factors in diabetic cataract patients.?METHODS: From January 2013 to October 2015, 186 diabetic cataract patients ( 224 eyes ) as diabetes group and 190 patients with simple cataract ( 227 eyes ) as control group in our hospital were enrolled. All patients received phacoemulsification combined with intraocular lens implantation. Observation of corneal endothelial cell density, coefficient of variation and percentage of hexagonal cells preoperatively, 1d, 1wk, 1 and 3mo postoperatively were carried out, and multiple Logistic regression analysis for risk factors of corneal endothelial cell injury was taken.?RESULTS: There were no significant difference in the density of corneal endothelial cells, the coefficient of variation and the percentage of hexagonal cells between the two groups before surgery (P>0. 05). Each time point after operation corneal endothelial cell density and the percentage of hexagonal endothelial cells of diabetes group were significantly lower than the preoperative and those of control group ( P < 0. 05 ). Each time after operation endothelial cell coefficient of variation of diabetes group were significantly higher than the preoperative(P<0. 05). The endothelial cell coefficient of variation in diabetes group of the 1wk, 1 and 3mo after operation were significantly higher than those of the control group ( P<0. 05 ) . Corneal endothelial cell density and percentage of hexagonal cells of the control group at 1wk, 1 and 3mo after operation were significantly lower than the preoperative ( P<0. 05 ). The endothelial cell coefficient of variation of control group at 1wk, 1 and 3mo after operation were significantly higher than the preoperative(P<0. 05). Single factor analysis showed that age, shallow anterior chamber, long ultrasonic time, short eye axis, high energy ultrasonic, high cumulative released energy, a lot of perfusate and nuclear hardness ≥ grade Ⅲ associated with corneal endothelial cell injury ( P< 0. 05 ) . Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that age, long ultrasonic time, high ultrasonic energy, high cumulative released energy and nuclear hardness ≥ grade Ⅲ were the risk factors of corneal endothelial cell injury, the OR value and 95%CI were 1. 742 (1. 056-2. 682), 1. 958 (1. 227-3. 135), 2. 064(1. 274-3. 256), 2. 585(1. 493-3. 682), 2. 193 (1. 348-3. 316).?CONCLUSION: The injury of corneal endothelial cells after phacoemulsification in diabetic cataract patients is more serious than in patients with simple cataract. Age, long ultrasonic time, high ultrasonic energy, high cumulative released energy and nuclear hardness ≥grade Ⅲ are the risk factors of corneal endothelial cell injury.

Objective To observe the effect of Zhibo Dihuang Pill(ZDP) on leptin-induced idiopathic central precocious puberty(ICPP) in mice.Methods Eighteen BALB/c female mice aged 18 months were randomized into 6 groups: normal group,model group,high-and low-dose ZDP groups(at the dose of 101.4 and 50.7 g?kg-1?d-1 respectively),and megestrol acetate(3.9 mg?kg-1?d-1)group and gonadotropin releasing hormone analogues(GnRH-A) group(at the first dose of 1573.5 ?g/kg,the second and the third dose of 1180 ?g/kg,once every other day).Except the normal group,the mice in other groups received intraperitoneal injection of leptin 20mg/kg to establish ICPP model.After treatment,the vaginal opening,body weight,uterus weight and ovaries weight as well as the serum levels of luteinizing hormone(LH),estrogen(E2) were detected.Meanwhile,the uterus index and ovaries index were also examined.Results High-dose ZDP had an inhibition on the advance of vaginal opening induced by leptin after modeling for 4~6 days(P0.05).Conclusion The therapeutic effect of ZDP for ICPP is probably related with the inhibition of the advance of hypothalamic-pituitary-gonad axis activation.

Based on the results of the morphologic studies on genus Dioscorea, the paper summarized the entire chemical constituent that isolated from this genus and analyzed it with the methods of chemotaxonomy. The rules of the chemical constituent and pharmacodynamic effects were analyzed. Seventeen species which belong to Sect. Stenophora Uline of Dioscorea contain steroidal sapogenin. Other species with different main components such as polysaccharide and tannin have have different effects. This chemotaxonomic view point will conduce to establish a phylogeny of the genus Dioscorea.

OBJECTIVETo compare the efficacy and adverse reaction of chemotherapy in CHOP protocol (CT-CHOP) alone or compared with Shenqi Fuzheng injection (SFI) for treatment of moderate malignant non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.

METHODSSixty patients were divided into 2 groups, the treated group (n = 32) treated with CT-CHOP plus SFI for 5.7 cycles on average and the control group (n = 28) treated with CT-CHOP alone for 5.6 cycles on average.

RESULTSIn the treated group, 18 patients were completely remitted (CR), 4 were partially remitted (PR), 7 were unchanged (NC), 3 were progressively deteriorated (PD), with the total remission rate of 68.8%, while in the control group, 13 were CR, 4 PR, 7 NC and 4 PD, the total remission rate being 60.7%. After treatment, the levels of CD3, CD4 and CD4/CD8 increased and CD8 decreased significantly in the treated group (P <0.05). Patients' quality of life (QOL) in the treated group was improved more obviously than that in the control group (P < 0.01), and the incidence rate of adverse reaction as leucopenia, neurotoxicity, and cardiac toxicity were lower in the treated group than those in the control group (P<0.01).

CONCLUSIONShenqi Fuzheng injection combined with CT-CHOP on malignant non-Hodgkin's lymphoma can reduce the adverse reaction of chemotherapy, ameliorate the compliance of patients to chemotherapy, and improve the immune function and QOL of patients.

Objective To evaluate the relationship between cardiomyopathy-associated 5 (CMYAS) gene rs10043986 polymorphism and schizophrenia in Uygur Chinese population.Methods The SNP rs10043986 in CMYA5 gene was genotyped in 325 patients with schizophrenia and 183 normal controls using TaqMan technology.The symptoms of schizophrenia were assessed by positive and negative syndrome scale (PANSS).The association of the loci with schizophrenia,age of onset,clinical symptom was analyzed.Results The allelic and genotypic distributions in rs10043986 between patients with schizophrenia (C,T allele:91.5％,8.5％ ; C/C,C/T,T/T genotypes:83.4％,16.3％,0.3％) and normal controls (C,T allele:96.4％,3.6％ ; C/C,C/T,T/T genotypes:92.9％,7.1％,0) had statistically significance after analysis (x2 =9.038,P=0.003 ; x2 =9.417,P=0.009).Via analysis of stratification by gender and age at onset.The results showed that both allele (x2=11.812,P=0.001) and genotype (x2=12.769,P=0.001) frequency in rs10043986 with patients were significantly different in females,but neither in males (all P＞0.05).Allelic or genotypic distributions between adult cases and controls had statistically significance (x2=8.219,P=0.004; x2=8.379,P=0.015),but there were not significant differences between adolescent cases and controls (all P＞ 0.05).Furthermore,we also notice that the PANSS scores of patients between Genotype C/C and C/T had no statistically significance (allP＞0.05).Conclusion The results reveal that T allele at CMYA5 rs10043986 may be confer risk for susceptibility of female and adult schizophrenia in Uygur Chinese population,and that rs 10043986 polymorphism may not significantly associate with symptoms severity of schizophrenia.

Objective:To explore the clinical efficacy of sinew-regulating and bone-setting manipulation combined with functional exercise to treat mild to moderate rotator cuff injury (RCI).Methods:Forty patients with mild to moderate RCI were randomly divided into a treatment group and a control group,with 20 cases in each group.The treatment group was given sinew-regulating and bone-setting manipulation combined with functional exercise,and the control group was given the same manipulation as the treatment group.The therapeutic effect on the functional improvement was assessed after treatment according to pain threshold,shoulder range of motion (ROM) including flexion,abduction,internal rotation and external rotation,and the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) shoulder rating score.Results:Compared with the same group before treatment,the pain threshold,shoulder flexion,abduction,internal and external rotations increased after the treatment in the two groups (all P＜0.05).The UCLA shoulder rating score increased (both P＜0.05).The improvement in the treatment group is significantly better than that in the control group with a statistical significance (P＜0.05).The total effective rate was 95.0％ in the treatment group,was higher than 65.0％ in the control group (P＜0.05).Conclusion:The sinew-regulating and bone-setting manipulation combined with functional exercise relieve the pain of patients with mild to moderate RCI,increase the motion of shoulder joints,and improve the quality of life of patients.The curative effect is better than the treatment of simple sinew-regulating and bone-setting manipulation.
