Objective To investigate the applicative value of enhanced 3D multi-echo GRE T2*-weighted angiography(ESWAN) sequence phase values in evaluating brain gray nuclei iron content in idiopathic restless legs syndrome(RLS) patients, providing imaging basis in diagnosis and treatment of idiopathic RLS. Methods In our institute from June 2012 to September 2016,forty-five RLS patients were selected as the RLS group, and 45 healthy volunteers as the control group. ESWAN sequence was performed and serum ferritin values were obtained in all patients and volunteers. The raw data of ESWAN was postprocessed , where the phase maps were obtained. Phase analysis was performed on localized brain gray nuclei regions of interest (substantia nigra, red nucleus, dentate nucleus, thalamus, pallidum, putamen and caudate nucleus ) selected on phase maps. Differences between the 2 subject groups were evaluated using ANCOVA including age as a covariate. Results The phase values of the substantia nigra, thalamus, pallidum and putamen in the RLS group were (-0.087 ± 0.021), (-0.053 ± 0.012), (-0.161 ± 0.008), (-0.125 ± 0.019) radians , respectively. The phase values of the substantia nigra, thalamus, pallidum and putamen in the control group were (-0.127 ± 0.007), (-0.066 ± 0.007), (-0.166 ± 0.007), (-0.150 ± 0.010) radians, respectively. There were significant differences between the two groups (F=142.492, 37.988, 10.558, 60.725;P<0.05). Indicating reduced iron content in several regions of brain gray nuclei of the patients with RLS. Serum ferritin concentration between the RLS patients (157.02±95.78)μg/L and healthy controls (175.49 ± 38.65)μg/L was not significant (F=1.353,P>0.05). Conclusions Phase values can make a quantitative assessment of brain gray nuclei iron content in RLS patients, our results supported the hypothesis of reduced brain iron content in RLS patents , which may have an important role in the pathogenesis of the disorder. However, iron content change in some brain regions was not correlated with serum ferritin concentration changes.

OBJECTIVETo study the combination of Mandibular distraction and orthognathic techniques for the reconstruction of adult hemifacial microsomia.
METHODSThe three-dimensional CT reconstruction data was used with Mimics for preoperation design. The osteotomy location, distraction vector, distraction distance were decided before operation with a surgical guider. At the first stage, internal distractor was implanted after ostetomy through an extra-oral approach. The distraction begun 5-7 days after operation with a frequency of 1 mm/day. After distraction, the distractor was maintained for 3-6 months. At the second stage, the distractor was removed. Le Fort I osteotomy was performed in order to correct the cross-bite and improve the facial contour. Usually, bone graft was inserted into the gap after Le Fort I osteotomy. The genioplasty was also performed if necessary.
RESULTS9 cases of adult hemifacial microsomia with severe mandibular deviation were treated. The facial asymmetry were improved greatly. 1 patient suffered an wound infection in the maxillary region after Le Fort I osteotomy and healed uneventfully with wound irrigation.
CONCLUSIONSMandibular distraction combined with orthognathic surgery is an effective procedure for adult hemifacial microsomia with complicated mandibular hypoplasia.

Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2006;0(24):-
Objective To explore the migration and differentiation of the human neural stem cells (hNSC) after being transplanted to the neonatal rat lateral ventricle,to provide some data on therapy for neonatal cerebropathy by using of neural stem cells. Methods N2 medium containing EGF+FGF2+LIF was used to culture the NSC spheres from the forebrain tissues of aborted human fetus. The hNSC was identified by detecting the NSC marker nestin antigen and showing the potency to differentiate into neural cells( including astrocytes, oligodendrocytes and neurons)by using indirect immuno-fluorescence assay(IFA).The part of the hNSC in-vitro cultured for 14 d was digested to suspensions of cell.Cultured for 14 d, the hNSC in-vitro and the suspension were transplanted into the lateral ventricles of the neonatal rat brains. The rats were respectively killed at 24,48 and 72 h respectively post-transplant,the whole brain was sectioned, and the special immuno-response detection was performed by using anti-human nuclei(anti-hNuc)and anti-human neurofilament(anti-hNF).Results In vitro culture, the typical NSC spheres were obtained from the forebrain of the human fetus. The suspensions of cells were obtained from the neurosphere. In neurosphere group, the results of anti-hNuc detecting tracing at 72 h post-injection showed that the grafts had migrated into the cortex grand layers of olfactory bulbus, medial precentral area of lobus frontalis, hippocampal, and lobus occipitalis. The label-positive cells lined along the Cerebellar Purkinje cell layers and appeared in most parts of mesencephalons. The immuno-respons results of anti-hNF showed that the positive cells scattered in the grand layer of cortex, the connection among positive cells was watched. In suspensions group, the results of anti-hNuc detecting tracing at 24 h post-injection show a great quantity of positive cells in the ventricles and injection track. At 72 h, a small quantity of positive cells remained in the ventricle and nearby brain tissue. Conclusions Whole neurospheres migrated intensely and differentiated into neurons and gliocytes. At the same time, transplants of cells from suspension transplants showed limited or no migration because of internal environment of the brain and construction of neurospheres.

ObjectiveTo investigate the risk factors for contrast-induced nephropathy (CIN) after endovascular therapy in patients with peripheral arterial diseases and to evaluate the conformance of serum cystatin C (Cys C) and serum creatinine in diagnosis of CIN. Methods In this prospective, single center study,in-hospital patients with peripheral arterial diseases undergoing non-emergency endovascular therapy from July 2010 to April 2011 in our hospital were enrolled.CIN was defined asScr increase ≥25% after angiography.General clinical characteristics and blood biochemical parameters were compared between the non-CIN and CIN groups.Logistic regression analysis was performed to determine risk factors.Changes compared to baseline level in serum creatinine and Cys C at predefined time-points were evaluated. Results A total of 367 patients were enrolled in the study. The proportions of patients with diabetes mellims and treatment with diuretics before angiography,contrast-media dosage were significantly higher in the CIN group than those in non-CIN group (P<0.05,<0.01,<0.01).Logistic regression analysis indicated that diabetes mellitus,contrast-media dosage were risk factors for CIN.Several serum Cys C increase criteria at 24 hours after contrast media exposure all had low sensitivity for predicting a Scr increase ≥25%.Only small overlapped regions were found in Venn diagram between several increasing criteria according to serum Cys C and serum creatinine criterion. Conclusions Diabetes mellitus,contrast-media dosage are independent risk factors for CIN.The results of several increasing criteria according to serum Cys C in evaluating contrast-induced AKI are not coincident well with that of serum creatinine criterion.
