Objective To investigate the incidence and distribution of over-weight and obesity and the relationship between the body mass index (BMI) and the chronic diseases in the elderly of community in Beijing. Methods The medical check-up data of 1513 elderly inhabitants randomly selected from the 134 communities in Beijing were analyzed. Results The proportions of old people with overweight and obesity were 48.9% and 12.8% respectively, and 36.5% of them were having normal body weight. The incidence of hypertension, coronary heart disease (CHD), diabetes mellitus (DM), hyperlipidemia, hyperuricemia and fatty liver were significantly higher in the over-weight and obese people than that of people with normal BMI. Multiple logistic regression analysis showed that BMI was positively correlated highly with hyperlipidemia and fatty liver (P

Chinese Journal of Hospital Administration 2010;26(3):169-171
Presented herein are the concepts and methodology for the appraisal indicator model of personal performance management in hospitals. Based on studies of mature appraisal indicator models for hospital departments and the particularity in the process of personal performance evaluation, the authors hold that the model of such an appraisal model should comprise an indicators inventory, data warehouse, indicators system, and appraisal database among others. It is also described that the evaluation process is made up of targets identification, indicators selection, weight distribution, performance implementation and data updating, on top of recommendations for building the model.

Journal of Experimental Hematology 2005;13(6):921-923
Evidence has indicated that low doses of anti-tumor regimens can induce cell apoptosis in vitro, although different regimens induce apoptosis by different mechanism and pathway. In recent years, new tumor treatment strategy has been mainly focused on inducing tumor cell apoptosis. The present review discusses the advantages and disadvantages of inducing tumor cell apoptosis. The benefit of inducing apoptosis is not to cause inflammatory reaction, but as its disadvantage, it inhibits immune responses, and the phagocytosis of apopotic bodies may result in horizontal transfer of genes (including oncogenes and other oncogenic materials), which can be one of the causes of tumor relapse. This paper proposes that the tumor treatment strategy should be turn into promoting tumor cell necrosis and inducing anti-tumor immune responses.

Chinese Medical Equipment Journal 1993;0(06):-
Objective To design an integrated emergency medical treatment system mounted on helicopter, which can meet the requirements of field treatment and evacuation in emergency disasters or local wars, the system has immobile form and mobile form. Methods With the characteristics of existing helicopter considered, the components of the system were supposed to include a universal stretchers, overall structure and embedded emergency devices and support transport accessories. Results The system could realize the destination of swift response and air-and ground first-aid, the new model of swift response can made the regulation and principle of first -aid more reasonable, and increases the survival rate significantly. Conclusion Critical diseases have become the latest killer in daily life. The first-aid on spot need the new model of swift response and air -and ground first -aid, the system can decrease the invalidity and mortality.

Objective: To observe the effects of interferon-induced protein 204 (p204) over-expression on apoptosis, proliferation and migration of aortic vascular adventitial ifbroblast (VAFs) in experimental rats.
Methods: Our research included in 3 groups: Iif204-Lv group, in whichVAFs were infected by Iif204-recombined lentivirus, Con-Lv group, in which VAFs carried the empty vector without virus, Blank control group, in which VAFs were untreated. VAFs proliferation was examined by MTT method, cell apoptosis was measured by lfow cytometry and the migration was detected by scratching assay and transwell chamber method. The mRNA and protein expressions of p204, p53 and p21were evaluated by real-time q RT-PCR and Western blot analysis respectively.
Results: Compared with Con-Lv and Blank control groups, Iif204-Lv group had decreased VAFs proliferation (by OD value) at 48 hours: (0.53 ± 0.05) vs (0.66±0.03) and (0.63 ± 0.06), at 72 hours: (0.89 ± 0.06) vs (1.02 ± 0.06) and (1.01 ± 0.07); distance of cell migration (by pixel): (61.00 ± 1.83) vs (74.50 ± 6.25) and (75.50 ± 7.85); number of cell migration: (61.75 ± 10.69) vs (155.25 ± 10.21) and (153.75 ± 9.40), allP<0.05. VAFs apoptosis rates were similar among different groups. Compared with Con-Lv and Blank control groups, Ifi204-Lv group presented up-regulated mRNA expressions of p204 (3.45 ± 0.15) vs (2.09 ± 0.10) and (2.06 ± 0.09); p53 (3.41 ± 0.09) vs (2.06 ± 0.07) and (2.10 ± 0.06); p21 (3.01 ± 0.08) vs (2.05 ± 0.06) and (2.11 ± 0.08), allP<0.05.
Conclusion: p204 over-expression inhibits VAFs proliferation and migration which might be partly related to the activation of p53 and p21 expression in experimental rats.

BACKGROUND:IKVAV-containing peptide sequence is an active region that promotes the adhesion, growth, and differentiation of neural cells in the laminin. It can be fabricated into a novel tissue-engineered scaffold material by self-assembly into hydrogel.OBJECTIVE: This study was designed to synthesize IKVAV-containing (C16H31O-AAAA GGGEIKVAV) peptide. The peptide was observed self-assembly into three-dimensional and porous hydrogel after triggered with phosphate buffered saline (PBS).DESIGN, TIME AND SETTING: Single-sample experiment, performed in the Laboratory of Department of Orthopedics,Union Hospital Affiliated to Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology between September 2004 and January 2005.MATERIALS: IKVAV-containing peptide was synthesized by solid phase method.METHODS: Peptide purity and relative molecular mass were detected by high performance liquid chromatogram and mass-spectrometry, respectively. 1% peptide, whose pH value was equal to 9.5, was self-assembled into hydrogel with the addition of PBS. The ultramicrostructure of the hydrogei was observed through the use of transmission electron microscope (TEM).MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Peptide purity and relative molecular mass were detected. Moreover, gross observation of the peptide after self-assembly and TEM observation of peptide ultramicrostructure were performed.RESULTS: Peptide relative molecular mass was 1351.6, which was in accordance with its theoretical value. Peptide purity was 95%. After triggered with PBS, 1% peptide was self-supported into hydrogel in a few seconds. TEM results showed that self-assembled hydrogel consisted of the interconnected nanofibers which varied from 3 to 6 nm in diameter and 100 to 1 500 nm m in length.CONCLUSION: The IKVAV-containing peptide was synthesized and self-organized successfully into porous hydrogel, which was triggered with PBS solution.
