OBJECTIVETo explore the effectiveness and safety of transcutaneous electrical acupoint stimulation (TEAS) combined with infusion of propofol in anodynia bronchoscopy.

METHODSNinety patients who received selective bronchoscopy were randomized into a group of compound TEAS with infusion of propofol (group A), a group of compound fentanyl with propofol (group B) and a group of simple propofol (group C). In group A, the plaster electrode stimulation was applied at bilateral Hegu (LI 4), Laogong (PC 8), Neiguan (PC 6) and Waiguan (TE 5). The anesthesia was induced after 20 min of stimulation till the end of examination. In group B and group C, the electric stimulation was not adopted. In group B, before anesthesia, fentanyl 1 microg/kg was injected intravenously. Afterwards, the intravenous infusion of propofol was used in the the three groups for anesthesia. The mean arterial pressure (MAP), heart rate (HR), saturation of pulse oximetry (SpO2) and respiratory rate (RR) were recorded at different time points. The induced dosage and total dosage of propofol, examination time, the awakening time and adverse reactions were observed in the patients of each group.

RESULTSThe difference in examination time was not significant among the three groups (P > 0.05). The postoperative awakening time in group A was earlier than that in group B and group C [(220.3 +/- 110.5) s vs (285.6 +/- 109.4) s, (290.1 +/- 105.1) s, both P < 0.05]. The total dosage of propofol in group C was larger than those in group A and group B [(288.5 +/- 26.7) mg vs (225.1 +/- 30.2) mg, (230.4 +/- 29.3) mg, both P < 0.05]. The induced dosage in group C was larger than those in group A and group B [(193.7 +/- 42.3) mg vs (152.3 +/- 36.1) mg, (155.4 +/- 40.5) mg, both P < 0.05]. Every life physical sign in group A during examination was more stable as compared with that in group B and group C. The incidence of hypotension and bradycardia in group A were lower than those in group C [3.3% (1/30) vs 26.7% (8/30), 0% (0/30) vs 20.0% (6/30), both P < 0.05]. The adverse incidence of oxygen supply in group A was lower than that in group B [6.7% (2/30) vs 33.3% (10/30), P < 0.05]. Intraoperative awareness and improper memory did not happen in postoperative investigation.

CONCLUSIONIn the transcutaneous electrical acupoint stimulation combined with infusion of propofol in anodynia bronchoscopy, the physical sign of patient is stable with less adverse reactions. This method reduces anesthetic dosage and shortens the postoperative awakening time, which can be effectively applied in bronchoscopy.

Objective To explore the prevalence of ETS gene fusion in prostate cancer and its correlation with patient's clinicopathologic index.Methods Ninety-one samples from prostate needle biopsy cases with median age 75 (55-90) years and 18 samples from radical prostatectomy cases with median age 72 (63-81) years were collected from Oct.2010 to Feb.2012.TMPRSS2-ERG,TMPRSS2-ETV1 and TMPRSS2-ETV4 fusions were tested by multi-probe fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) assay.Fusion positive and negative cases were compared with age,TNM stage,Gleason score (median Gleason score 7 (6-9)),and PSA value (median PSA 33.4 μg/L,mcan PSA 118.8 μg/L).In needle biopsy cases,there were early stage 32 (34％),locally advanced prostate cancer 36 (40％),metastasis 23 (26％) ; in radical prostatectomy cases,there were 9 cases in T2 stage,8 cases in T3 stage,1 cases in T4a stage,respectively.Results TMPRSS2-ERG fusions were present in 14.3％ (13/91,95％ confidence interval,0.071-0.215)biopsy specimens and in 11.1％ (2/18,95％ confidence interval,0-0.256) radical prostatectomy specimens.No TMPRSS2-ETV1 or TMPRSS2-ETV4 fusions were found in any cases.Altogether,13 (86.7％)cases possessed deletion pattern.And 7 (46.6％) hold insertion pattern.5 cases had both deletion and insertion pattern.38.5％ (5/13) deletion pattern had distant metastasis.Except one metastatic case harbored both deletion and insertion pattern,there was no insertion pattern accompanied with metastasis.There were no differences between fusion positive and negative cases in the distribution of age (P =1.000),PSA (P =1.138),primary Gleason score (P=2.186),Gleason score (P=2.107),TNM stage (P=2.052) and Risk Degree (P=2.597).Conclusions The TMPRSS2-ERG fusion positive cases harbor more deletion pattern than insertion pattern.There are no differences between fusion positive and negative cases in the distribution of age,PSA,Gleason score,TNM stage and Risk Degree.

Objective To design a multi-functional portable bento for single field soldier by reducing the health load of the army and improving the fighting capacity.Methods It is designed by selecting the suitable material and integrating the minimal volume with function.Results The bento can be designed on light material,small in size and used in water or waterless condition.Conclusion The bento is fit for the field army request to carry picnic tool and can improve the combat effectiveness of the force.

Objective To analyze the electrocardiography(ECG)data of pressure overload-induced cardiac hy pertrophy rats.Methods Pressure overload cardiac hypertrophy was induced by abdominal aorta constriction. Along with the development of economy and society, type 2 diabetic mellitus (T2DM) has become one of the most common diseases at the global level. As one of the complications of T2DM, diabetic neuropathic pain (DNP) stubbornly and chronically affects the health and life of human beings. In the pain field, dorsal root ganglion (DRG) is generally considered as the first stage of the sensory pathway where the hyperexcitability of injured neurons is associated with different kinds of peripheral neuropathic pains. The abnormal electrophysiology is mainly due to the changed properties of voltage-gated sodium channels (VGSCs) and the increased sodium currents (I(Na)). Curcumin is an active ingredient extracted from turmeric and has been demonstrated to ameliorate T2DM and its various complications including DNP effectively. The present study demonstrates that the I(Na) of small-sized DRG neurons are significantly increased with the abnormal electrophysiological characteristics of VGSCs in type 2 diabetic neuropathic pain rats. And these abnormalities can be ameliorated efficaciously by a period of treatment with curcumin.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the mothod and therapeutic efficacy of total hip anthroplasties (THA) for osteoarthritis secondary to Crowe type IV developmental dysplasia of hip in adults.

METHODSFrom May 2006 to December 2013, THA was performed on 15 adult patients (17 hips) with Growe type IV acetabular dysplasia, including 13 females and 2 males, with a mean age of 30.9 years old (22 to 58 years old) and an average preoperative Harris score of (34.0 ± 6.5) points. Traction of the affected limb was not performed before surgery. After extensive release and lengthening of soft tissues, sub-trochanteric osteotomy of the femur was performed, hip joint center was rebuilt and the abduction function was restored.

RESULTSThe patients were followed up with a mean period of 33 months (ranged from 6 months to 5 years). The postoperative Harris score was 85.0 ± 7.3,higher than the preoperative score. The extended length of limb ranged from 1.6 to 5.4 cm, with a mean of (3.42 ± 0.65) cm. The shortening and malformation of the affected limb were corrected in the most patients,with the difference in length of the two legs less than 1.5 cm. After surgery, 1 patient experienced partial sciatic nerve injury, which was largely recovered after 3 months of conservative treatment. One patient experienced complete sciatic nerve injury, which was partially recovered after 6 months of conservative treatment; a foot-drop varus deformity was formed in the distal end of the affected limb, which was improved after tendon transposition and transplantation. Joint pain was relieved, and the joint function was restored significantly. Over the follow-up period, no severe complications such as dislocation, infection, prosthesis loosening, or subsiding occurred.

CONCLUSIONSatisfactory efficacy can be achieved for adult Growe type IV acetabular dysplasia associated with osteoarthritis by THA, with proper soft tissue release and lengthening, sub-trochanteric osteotomy of femur, joint functional restoration, appropriate choice of prosthesis, and careful protection of nerves and vessels.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the clinical effect of mild warming moxibustion (MWM) on acupoints Shenque (RN8) and Guanyuan (RN4) for treatment of recurrent respiratory tract infection (RRTI) in children with cerebral palsy (CP).

METHODSSixty-four CP patients with RRTI were randomly and equally assigned to two groups, all received conventional rehabilitation treatment, but in acute infection stage, MWM was applied on the treated group, and intravenous dripping of immunoglobulin was given to the control group, all for 3 months. The frequency of RRTI attacking (Fre), the mean cough alleviating time (T-CA) and rale disappearing time (T-RA) during infection, as well as the serum levels of immune globulins during the post-treatment 1-year follow-up period were observed.

RESULTSThe effectiveness in the treated group was better than that in the control group, showing in aspects of Fre (2.38 +/- 0.64 times vs. 6.50 +/- 0.84 times), T-CA (3.92 +/- 1.32 days vs. 6.48 +/- 2.18 days) and T-RA (4.66 +/- 1.82 days vs. 7.64 +/- 1.44 days), significant difference was shown between groups (P < 0.01). The serum levels of IgG, IgM and IgA all raised in both two groups (P < 0.05), comparison of immunoglobulin levels between groups showed that they were lower immediately after treatment, but higher at the end of the 1-year follow-up in the treated group than those in the control group.

CONCLUSIONMWM on acupoints Shengue and Guanyuan has a better and long-term clinical effect for treatment of RRTI in children with CP.

Objective To investigate the relationship between the ultrasonography diagnosis in prenatal and the postnatal placental vascular casts of the twins reversed arterial perfusion(TRAP) sequence. Methods Six cases of TRAP sequence underwent the two-dimensional and color Doppler ultrasonography, and performed placental vascular casts after termination of pregnance. Results According to the anatomical features and ultrasonography, there were 3 cases of acardius acephalus( IV) ,2 cases of acardius anceps( II ) , and 1 case of acardius acormus( I ). In all 6 cases,there were arterio-arterial and veno-venous anastomoses at the level of the chorionic plate between the normal co-twin and the acardiac twin,these anastmosis vessels were superficial and large calibre, and the distances of the placental insertions of the umbilical cords were different,4 cases <0. 5 cm, 2 cases were 4-5 cm. In 4 cases, the vessels entered and went out of the acardiac twin were just one large umbilical artery and one large umbilical vein. In 2 cases, the umbilical artery and umbilical vein had many vascular branches in the placenta. Out of 6 cases of the pump twin, 4 cases died,and 2 cases survived. Conclusions Ultrasonography was consistent with the placental vascular casts,the contrast observing gives us new information for the further research of the special type of the vascular anastmosis and prognosis of the TRAP sequence.

Objective To evaluate the expression of alpha-methylacyl-coenzyme-A racemase (AMACR,P504s) with immunohistochemical staining in diagnosis of prostate carcinoma. Methods A total of 133 specimens were taken from the patients (mean age,71 years),including 46 cases of prostate carcinoma (PCa) (1 case of stage A,19 cases of stage B,14 cases of stage C,12 cases of stage D;4 cases of gradeⅠ,14 cases of gradeⅡ,28 cases of grade Ⅲ),53 cases of benign prostate hyperplasia (BPH),13 cases of prostate intraepithelial tumor (PIN),9 cases of normal prostate,6 cases of prostatitis,3 cases of metastatic prostate cancer.Two sections of each specimen were made,with 1 stained by hematoxylin and eosin,and the other stained immunohistochemically by a rabbit monoclonal antibody to AMACR (P504s).AMACR staining expression was characterized as negative (score,1), weak (positive) (2), moderate (3) or strong (4). Results In 46 cases of PCa,AMACR staining expression was negative in 2 cases,weak in 1,moderate in 25 and strong in 18,with a mean staining intensity of 3.28 [95% confidence interval (CI), 3.07-3.50]. In 53 cases of BPH, the staining expression was negative in 47 cases, weak in 6, with a mean intensity of 1.11 (95% CI, 1.02-1.20).In 13 cases of PIN, the staining expression was negative in 12, weak in 1, with a mean intensity of 1.08 (95% CI, 0.91-1.24).The score of PCa group was significantly different from those of the latter 2 groups (P
