Objective To determine the influence of total glucosides of paeony (TGP) on bone density, protein level of skeletal muscle and relative cytokine of osteoporotic rats. Methods Six-month-old SD rats were shamed as control (8 rats) or were ovariectomized (24 rats). Objective To explore effect of probiotics on improving the feeding intolerance in very low birth weight infants(VLBWI). Methods Sixty cases of VLBWI were randomly divided into two groups, 30 infants as therapy group,another 30 infants as control group.All infants in two groups were given aggressive intravenous nutrition and enteral feeding with preterm formulars. At the same time, probiotics were administered combined with preterm formulars to infants in therapy group. Objective To study the value of MSCT angiography(MSCTA)in diagnosing lower extremities arterial disease (LEAD) of diabetic foot ulcers and analyze the possible influential factors on the onset of diabetic foot ulcers.Methods 80 diabetic patients for MSCTA examination were divided into two groups by whether combined with foot ulcers.The tibial artery calcification score (TACS) and peripheral arterial occlusion index (PAOI) were calculated and the possible risk factors of diabetic foot ulcer were analyzed.Results There were 30 cases suffered with foot ulcer and 18 cases occurred lower extremity arterial occlusion (LEAO), the average PAOI was 4.40(3.60, 5.75).Non-foot ulcer cases were 50, and there were 8 cases suffered with LEAO, the average PAOI was 2.05(1.43, 3.10).Compared to patients without foot ulcer, patients with foot ulcer were older, had a lower BMI, and were more likely to have a history of tobacco use.They usually had higher TACS and severer peripheral arterial occlusive disease (PAOD).Stepwise regression model showed that foot ulcers had significant correlation with TACS and PAOI.Partial correlation analysis showed TACS was independent from PAOI in impacting diabetic foot ulcer.Conclusion MSCTA has important clinical value in diagnosing and valuing diabetic foot ulcer LEAD.Age, smoking history,BMI,TACS and PAOI affect the incidence of diabetic foot ulcers, and TACS and PAOI are the independent risk factors for diabetic foot ulcers.

Objective To explore the influence of Clostridium butyricum on the expression of vascular endothelial cell growth factor (VEGF) and its receptor 2 (VEGFR-2), proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA), and tight junction protein claudin-2 in intestinal tissue in newborn rat with necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC). Methods Forty-eight-hour-old Sprague-Dewley (SD) rats were randomly divided into model group, control group, low-dose group, mid-dose group, and high-dose group, 12 rats each. Rats in each group were fed with milk substitute. The NEC model were created by hypoxia and cold stimulation for 3 consecutive days in model group, low-dose group, mid-dose group, and high-dose group. Meanwhile, low-dose group, mid-dose group, and high-dose group were intervened by being fed with Clostridium butyricum 0.2, 0.4, and 0.8 g/(kg·d), respectively. All rats in each group were sacriifced on day 4 and the intestines tissue was obtained. The pathological changes had been observed. The expression of VEGF, PCNA, and claudin-2 were detected by immunohistochemistry. The expression of VEGFR-2 was detected by RT-PCR. Results The intestines pathological scores was signiifcantly different among ifve groups (P?0 . 05 ). Conclusion The expression of VEGF, VEGF-2 , and claudin-2 were higher in rats with NEC, while the expression of PCNA was lower. Supplementation of Clostridium butyricum may protect newborn rats by its act on these factors.

Objective Toinvestigatetheprevalenceofurinaryincontinenceanditseffectonlifequalityamongfemale adultsinHangzhou,andtoprovideevidencetothecontroloffemaleurinaryincontinence.Methods Aquestionnaire survey was performed in Gongshu and Xiacheng districts in Hangzhou from October 2013 to June 2014,and 4 563 women aged over 20 years were interviewed through a questionnaire including International Consultation on Incontinence Questionnaire Lower Urinary Tract,IQ-FLUTS and demographic information.Single and multi factor logistic regression analysiswereusedtoanalyzetheriskfactorsofurinaryincontinence.Results Atotalof4785questionnairesweresent, and 4 563 effective questionnaires were recovered,with a recovery rate of 95.4%.The prevalence of urinary incontinence was 33.5%(1 530/4 563),and female with older age tended to have a higher prevalence of UI(P<0.01).Among which stress urinary incontinence (SUI ),urge incontinence (UUI )and mixed urinary incontinence (MUI ) were accounted for 20.2%(922/4 563),3.0%(135/4 563)and 10.3%(473/4 563)respectively.UUI and MUI had a greater effect on quality of life.According to the multi factor logistic regression analysis,gravidity,age,constipation,pelvic surgery and fat (BMI>24)wereriskfactorsforurinaryincontinence(P<0.05).Conclusion Becauseofthehighprevalenceofurinary incontinence among female adults,more attention should be paid to urinary incontinence suffers in order to improve the quality of life of female adults.

Objective To study the effect of decitabine treating elderly patient with myelodysplastic syndrome-ring sideroblastic refractory anemia (MDS-RAS) and review the literatures. Methods Decitabine treated a patient with MDS-RAS four courses, at the dose of 25 mg everyday for 5 days per course. Observed the change of symptoms, peripheral blood cell counts, myelogram, T cell polarization, cellular immunity,chromosome. Determined the curative effect combined with efficiency standard of WHO 2008. Results The clinical symptoms got better after two courses. Peripheral blood cell counts began to get better after one course. The number of leukocyte, hemoglobin and platelet got nearly normal after four courses. After two courses, T cell polarization state got normal, the number of iron ring promyelocyticin bone marrow declined from 16 % to 0 and chromosome changed from complex karyotype to normal. Conclusion Decitabine is an effective drug to the old patient with MDS-RAS. But it needs to increase the number of cases and follow up long-term to observe the effective rate and long-term efficacy.

N-Benzyl matrinol was obtained by hydrolysis, benzylation and reduction reaction from matrine. A series of hybrids (8a-8n) from (phenylsulfonyl)furoxan and N-benzyl matrinol were synthesized and biologically evaluated as anti-hepatocellular carcinoma agents. All target compounds were evaluated for anti-proliferative activity against human hepatocellular Bel-7402, SMMC-7721, Bel-7404, and HepG2 cells in vitro by MTT method. The results indicated that all of these compounds had potent anti-proliferative activity which were more potent than their parent compound and 5-FU, especially 8a-8h and 8j showed the strongest anti-HCC HepG2 cell activity with IC50 values of 0.12-0.93 μmol x L(-1).

To study the chemical constituents of K. oblongifolia, silica gel column chromatography, MCI and Sephadex LH-20 were used to separate the 70% acetone extract of the stems of K. oblongifolia. The structures of the isolated compounds have been established on the basis of physicochemical and NMR spectroscopic evidence as well as ESI-MS in some cases. Twenty compounds were obtained and identified as heteroclitalignan A (1), kadsulignan F (2), kadoblongifolin C (3), schizanrin F (4), heteroclitalignan C (5), kadsurarin (6), kadsulignan O (7), eburicol (8), meso-dihydroguaiaretic acid (9), kadsufolin A (10), tiegusanin M (11), heteroclitin B (12), (7'S)-parabenzlactone (13), angeloylbinankadsurin B (14), propinquain H (15), quercetin (16), kadsulignan P (17), schizanrin G (18), micrandilactone C (19) and (-)-shikimic acid (20). Compouds 1, 5, 8, 11-15, 18 and 20 were isolated from this plant for the first time. Toxicity of compounds 1-10 were evaluated with zebrafish model to observe the effect on its embryonic development and heart function. The results showed that compounds 7, 9 and 10 caused edema of zebrafish embryo and decreased the heart rate of zebrafish, which exhibited interference effect on heart development of zebrafish.

Objective To observe the effects of Dengzhanhua Capsule on kidney tissue inflammatory cytokines in chronic renal failure rats;To explore its possible mechanism for the efficacy in chronic renal failure. Methods Sixty SD rats were randomly divided into normal control group, model group, benazepril group and Dengzhanhua group, 15 rats in each group. Chronic renal failure rat model was established by Platt 5/6 nephrectomized. Benazepril (0.29 mg/100 g) was given to rats in the benazepril group by gastrogavage. Dengzhanhua Capsule (0.3 g/100 g) was given to rats in the Dengzhanhua group by gastrogavage. Normal saline was given to rats in the normal group and the model group by gastrogavage. The whole treatment period was twelve weeks. Expressions of TGF-β1 and PAI-1 were determined by semi-quantitative RT-PCR after treatment. Concentrations of kidney tissue inflammatory cytokines IL-6 and TNF-α were determined by ELISA. Results Expressions of TGF-β, PAI-1 and IL-6, TNF-αin benazepril group and Dengzhanhua group were significantly lower than those in model group (P<0.05). Compared with benazepril group, it was significantly lower in Dengzhanhua group (P<0.05). Conclusion Dengzhanhua Capsule can reduce kidney tissue inflammatory in chronic renal failure rats, and inhibit renal fibrosis.

Background Researches demonstrated that ciliary neurotrophic factor (CNTF) can enhance survival and promote differentiation of neutron.Meanwhile,CNTF also is thought to play an important role in the development of visual pathway.But,less studies are reported in the relationship of CNTF and form deprivation amblyopia.Objective This study was to investigate the expressions of CNTF in visual cortex area 17 in form deprivation amblyopia model.Methods Twelve 4-week-old cats were randomized into normal group and form deprivation amblyopia group.Monocular form deprivation amblyopic models were established in 6 cats by eyelids suture method.Pattern visual evoked potential(P-VEP) was recorded to evaluate the amblyopic models 16 weeks later following the eyelids suturing.Then,bilateral visual cortex tissue was incised at a vertical in sagittal axis fashion to prepare the section.Nissl staining was used to detect the morphologies of neurons.Expression of CNTF in Ⅰ-Ⅵ layers of visual cortex area 17 was located and quantified by immunochemistry.The positive cell number and gray scale for CNTF were calculated and compared between two groups.The use of the animals complied with Regulations for the Administration of Affairs Coucerning Experimental Animals by State Science and Technology Commission.Results Compared with the normal group,P-VEP amplitude was significantly reduced (6.11 ±1.56 μV vs.11.42±t.92 μV) and latency was significantly prolonged(75.77±9.83 ms vs.58.56±7.17 ms) in the form deprivation amblyopia group (t=5.272,3.464,P＜0.05).Nissl staining showed that the number of neurons in the form deprivation amblyopia group was less than that in the normal group.In the form deprivation amblyopia group,neurons became shrinkage and turned round,cytoplasmic processes get shortened,and the nucleus became small.The number of Nissl bodies was decreased.lmmunochemistry showed the positive neutrons for CNTF in Ⅰ-Ⅵ layers of visual cortex area 17 in hoth normal cats and model cats with the more positive cells in Ⅱ-Ⅳ layers.Compared with the normal group,the positive cell number for CNTF was significantly reduced in Ⅱ-Ⅳ layers of visual cortex area 17 in the form deprivation amblyopia group (Ⅱ layer:95.93±8.24 vs.116.25±6.52;I layer:102.65±7.45 vs.125.23±8.21;Ⅳ layer:l10.65±6.85 vs.139.54±4.26) (t=4.737,4.989,8.773,P＜0.05).In addition,the gray scale of CNTF positive cells was significantly lower in Ⅱ-Ⅳ layers of visual cortex area 17 in the form deprivation amblyopia group than that the normal group (Ⅱ layer:106.98 ± 8.86 vs.138.65 ± 6.38 ; Ⅲ layer:109.56 ± 8.69 vs.149.59 ±8.55;Ⅳ layer:l16.65 ±9.52 vs.155.76±9.87) (t=7.105,8.043,6.986,P＜0.05).Both CNTF positive cell number and gray scale in Ⅰ,Ⅴ,Ⅵ layers of visual cortex area 17 had no significant differences between two groups (P＞0.05).Conclusions Form deprivation in critical period of a new born animal may lead to distributing abnormality of CNTF in visual cortex,which maybe play a role in the development of form deprived amblyopia.
