To evaluate the efficacy and safety of compound Decumbent Corydalis Rhizome (DCR) in treating patients with knee osteoarthritis (OA). Totally 79 patients with knee osteoarthritis were selected from out-patient and inpatient departments of West China Hospital and randomly divided into the test group and the control group. The test group (n = 41) was given Compound DCR with the dosage of 1.8 g · d(-1), while the control group (n = 38) was administered with diclofenac sodium with the dosage of 75 mg · d(-1). After 12 weeks of treatment, the total efficacy rates based on patients/physicians evaluation for experimental and control groups were 68.29%, 63.41% and 71.05%, 63.16%, respectively, without significant difference between the two groups. Both of the two groups showed significant improvements in the main efficacy indexes (pain on walking 20 m) and minor indexes (tenderness on palpation, Western Ontario and McMaster Universities OA index (WOMAC) and Short-Form Health Survey (SF-36 ), but without significant difference in efficacy between them. The incidence of related adverse events was 24.39% in the test group and 47.37% in the control group, respectively, with significant differences between the two groups (P < 0.05). In the controlled study, compound DCR is as efficient as diclofenac sodium but more tolerable, with a good clinical application prospect.

Objectives To explore the effect of mibefradil, a kind of novel calcium channel antagonists, on proliferation of human pulmonary artery smooth muscle cells (HPASMCs) induced by platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF). MethodsHPASMCs were culturedin vitro, and randomly divided into control group, PDGF group, Mib group, and PDGF+Mib group. The PDGF group was stimulated by 25 ng/ml of PDGF. Mib group was intervented by 10 μmol/L of Mib. PDGF+Mib group was treated by PDGF and Mib. The reproduction rate in 48 hours and 72 hours were detected by MMT. Cell cycle was detected by lfow cytometry. The expression of proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) was observed by immunolfuorescence staining (IFS).ResultsThere were statistical differences among four groups in both 48 hours and 72 hours (P all?0.05), especially in 72 hours. PDGF group had the highest level of HPASMC reproduction rate, and there were statistical differences as compared with the other three groups (P all?0.05). However, the HPASMC reproduction rates were similar among PDGF+Mib group, Mib group, and control group (P all?>?0.05). There were statistically differences of G0/G1 phase and S phase among four groups (P?0.05). PDGF group had lowest G0/G1 phase cells and highest S phase cells, and there were statistically differences as compared with the other three groups (P all?0.05). No differences were found among PDGF+Mib group, Mib group, and control group (P all?0.05). There was obviously difference in the expression of PCNA among four groups (P?0.05). PDGF group had the highest expression of PCNA and there were statistically differences as compared with other three groups, (P?0.05). While the expression of PCNA was similar among PDGR+Mib group, Mib group, and control group. Conclusion Mibefradil was able to restrain remarkably the proliferation of HPASMC by inhibit the cell cycle that stimulated by PDGF, and by the expression of PCNA.

Objective To explore the clinical curative effect of laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC) in treatment of patients with acute calculouscholecystitis in acute stage. Methods We retrospectively analysed the data of 1353 patients with acute calculouscholecystitis in acute stage who received laparoscopic cholecystectomy in Dept.of General Surgery, The First Affiliated Hospital of Nanyang Medical College and Dept.of Hepatopancreatobiliary Surgery 3,The 2nd Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical University from August 2008 to December 2012. Results In 1353 patients, 1316 patients were performed LC successfully (97.27%) . One patient was found with bile duct injury and was cured after Laparoscopic T tube drainage. Two patients were found with postoperative bile leakage, one of them was found with wing hole effusion after removal of the abdominal cavity drainage tube, and was cured after continuous drainage. The operation time was 26-168 minutes, with an average of 47 minutes, the hospitalization time was 3-15 days, with an average of 7.3 days. No incision infection was found . 37 patients were transferred to laparotomy because of common bile duct injury in 2 cases, unclear gallbladder triangle in 23 cases, difficult operation after decompression result from high gall bladder pressure caused by big calculus incarceration in the gallbladder neck in 3 cases, gallbladder gallstone disease in 2 cases, atrophic and vitrified acute cholecystitis and biliary calculus in 2 cases, gallbladder artery bleeding in 4 cases and severe abdominal cavity adhesion in 1 case. Conclusion For patients with acute calculous cholecystitis in acute stage, LC is asafe, effective, and minimally invasive treatment method with quick recovery and low cost, but the operator must be familiar with the anatomy of Calot triangle, and has skilled LC operation skills.
