Journal of Chinese Physician 2001;0(03):-
Objective To investigate the role of cell apoptosis in the gut mucosal barrier dysfunction in rats undergoing cardiopulmonary bypass(CPB) . Methods The rat model of CPB was set up. The rats were divided into CPB group, sham operation(SO) group and normal control group. The morphological changes of ileum mucosal tissues were observed by microscope and electron microscope at 3h, 6h, 12h and 24h after operation, respectively. The apoptotic index of gut mucosal epithelial cells was measured with TUNEL method. Results Gut mucosal morphology was normal in CPB group at 3h, 6h and 12h after operation, but gut mucosal epithelial desquamation occurred at 24h after operation. Typical apoptotic cells could be seen with electron microscope in CPB group at every time point. Apoptotic index of gut mucosal epithelial cells significantly increased in CPB group at every time point compared with SO group, and peaked at 6h after operation. Apoptotic cells were mostly located in the gut crypt. Conclusion The data suggested that the apoptosis of intestinal epithelial cells significantly increased at early stage of post-CPB in rats, which might contribute to gut mucosal barrier dysfunction.

International Eye Science 2016;16(6):1199-1202
? AIM: To analyze clinical characteristics and postoperative outcomes after open globe injury.?METHODS: Demographic characteristics ( age, gender, eye trauma, profession, cause of injury and injured part ) , as well as complications and prognosis were analyzed in 152 cases (152 eyes) of open globe injury.? RESULTS: Patients with open globe injury had an average age of 40. 45±38. 32 years old with a 5. 9:1 male-to-female gender ratio. The left-to-right eye ratio was 1. 27:1. Most patients were workers, farmers, or retired. The most common etiologies were scratches, boxing, and falls. Zone Ⅲ was the most commonly injured part. Iridoptosis or iris incarceration, retinal detachment, vitreal prolapse, hyphema or hypopyon, and vitreous hemorrhage were the most common complications. Visual acuity improved in 86 cases postoperatively but ophthalmectomy was still required in 25 eyes.?CONCLUSION: Vision can be improved after surgery in open globe injury. However, patients are usually seriously injured and improvement is minimal, thereby resulting in a great loss to patients and society.

Objective: To sieve the bioactive constituents of Radix Puerariae, serum pharmacochemistry research was performed.Method: Based on the establishment of HPLC fingerprints of Radix Puerariae, the constituents absorbed into blood were determined by comparing the HPLC fingerprints of the methanol extracts, tested serum samples and blank serum sample. Results: Four compounds absorbed into blood were detected, among which two were original constituents of Radix Puerariae(including puerarin),the other might be metabolites of the original constituents. Conclusion: These four constituents absorbed into blood were possible bioactive components of Radix Puerariae.Further studies on them will help clarify the bioactive constituents and mechanisms of Radix Puerariae.
9. Ketamine combined with propofol in total intravenous anesthesia for spastic cerebral palsy children undergoing neural stem cell transplantation
Academic Journal of Second Military Medical University 2012;33(8):918-920
Objective To evaluate the safety of ketamine combined with propofol in total intravenous anesthesia for spastic cerebral palsy children undergoing neural stem cell transplantation. Methods Sixty ASA I-E spastic cerebral palsy children, aged 1-12 years old, were to undergo neural stem cell transplantation. Anesthesia was induced with propofol 1. 5-2 mg/kg and ketamine 1-2 mg/kg, iv, and maintained with target controlled infusion (TCI) of propofol 30-40 μg • kg-1 • min-1 and ketamine 10-30 μg • kg-1 • min-1. The mean arterial pressure (MAP), heart rate (HR), respiration rate (RR), and arterial oxygen saturation (Sp02) were observed during operation. The consciousness loss time, awakening time, anesthetic effect, and adverse reaction were recorded. Results There were no significant differences in MAP or HR before and after infusion. The patients had decreased RR and Sp02 at 1 min and 3 min after infusion, but there is no significant difference compared with before infusion. Consciousness loss time was (50. 5 ± 9. 1) s and the awakening time was (15. 3 ± 3. 6) min. The effect of anesthesia was satisfactory in all the children. There was no writhing, nausea, vomiting or salivating. Three cases had respiratory inhibition and one had choke cough during operation. Conclusion Ketamine combines with propofol is safe, controllable and has less side effects in total intravenous anesthesia for spastic cerebral palsy children undergoing neural stem cell transplantation.
10. Optimization of extraction technique for Shenxi Oral Liquid by orthogonal design based on AHP-CRITIC analysis
Chinese Traditional and Herbal Drugs 2018;49(11):2577-2583
Objective The extraction process of Shenxi Oral Liquid by exploring the optional extraction process parameters based on determining the index weight. Methods Using the contents of cyasterone, ginsenosides Rg1, Re, Rb1, panaxadiol, ratio of dry extraction, total polysaccharides, and total peak area as comprehensive evaluation indexes, the weighting coefficient in eight synthetic evaluation indexes was determined by analytic hierarchy process (AHP), criteria importance through intercriteria correlation (CRITIC) method, and mixed weighted AHP-CRITIC. Compared mixed weighting method and single weighting method, the optimal parameters of compound extraction process were optimized by orthogonal test. Results Mixed weighted AHP-CRITIC was more scientific, reasonable, and comprehensive than the single weighting method. According to the weighting coefficient determined by comprehensive evaluation, the optimal process parameters were as follow: compound herbs plus nine times of water, extracting three times, each for 80 min. The mean of three batches of comprehensive evaluation was 99.06 and RSD value was 0.18%. Conclusion AHP combined with CRITIC could be used to establish weighting coefficient of the compound formula extraction process and the optimized process of extraction had been verified to be reasonable, stable, and reproducible, which could be used for industrial production.
