Objective To study the effect of behavioral therapy combined with Paroxetine in the treatment of overactive bladder accompanied by depression and anxiety.Methods Over the past two years,a total of 69 cases of patients with overactive bladder accompanied by depression and anxiety were diagnosed by outpatient,they were divided into experimental group (n=33)and control group(n=36).The experimental group were given behavior therapy and Paroxetine in the treatment of anxiety,depression,while the control group were given behavior therapy.Then the overactive bladder symptom score(OABSS),urgency score,SDS,SAS score before and after treatment of the two groups of patients were statistically analyzed.Results (1)The OABSS score ((3.30± 1.01) vs (7.51 ± 0.69)),urgency score((2.60±0.51) vs (3.93±0.69)),SDS score((43.1±6.2) vs (66.4±4.7)) and SAS score ((41.9±0.6) vs (61.4±3.9)) decreased after treatment of the experimental group.There were statistically significant compared with before treatment(t=17.8773,8.9045,17.2039,16.0273,all P＜0.01).(2) The OABSS score,urgency score decreased after treatment of the control group.There were statistically significant compared with before treatment (t=6.1926,6.3483;both P＜0.01).SDS,SAS score before and after treatment of the control group were not statistically significant (t=1.3105,0.5852,bothP＞0.05) (3) The OABSS score,urgency score,of the experimental group were more depressed than the control group,which were statistically significant (t =3.3830,3.6391,both P＜0.01).Conclusion For overactive bladder patients with anxiety and depression,behavioral therapy combined with Paroxetine is better than behavioral therapy alone.

Objective To explore the safety of fat reduction treated by non invasive focused ultrasound.Methods A randomized double-blind and negative control clinical trial was carried out on the excess fat of 40 subjects' abdomen by a JCS-01 non-invasive focused ultrasound device.Subjects received treatments with the device on day 1 and day 7.Observations on the area treated and inquiries on feelings were conducted during treatments.Before the first treatment and 14 days after the treatment,laboratory examinations were performed,including liver function,blood lipid tests,etc.Results 40 subjects participated in the trial and 36 subjects (18 each in both treatment and control groups) accomplished 2 times of treatments,all followed-up and laboratory examinations.During the process of treatments,4 subjects in the experimental group complained about feelings of tepidity or pricking.One subject on blood test of triglyceride showed slightly higher than her early normal result,which fell to the normal level at reexamination.Conclusions Subjects treated by non-invasive focused ultrasound at the area of no more than 500 cm2 every time and at an interval of 6 days manifest little changes on the blood test results,with slightly local reactions but no complaints during follow-up.

[Objective] To investigate the expression of NF-κB and IL-lra in gastric cancer, and to explore their correlation with the clinicopathological parameters and prognosis of gastric cancer (GC). [Methods] Expression of NF-κB and IL-1ra was detected by immunohistochemistry in tissue microarry of 359 cases of GC. [Results] The expression rates of NF-κB in the patients with metastasis of lymph node, TNM Ⅲ-Ⅳ stage, and poorly differentiated of histology were 80.2%, 80.0%, and 79.2%, respectively. The expression rates of IL-1ra in the patients with tumor size ≤3 cm, early stage, non-metastasis of lymph node, and TNM Ⅰ-Ⅱ stage were 61.7%, 75.0%, 66.4%, and 61.9%, respectively. The 5-year survival rate of the cases with non-expressed NF-κB was statistically higher than that of the cases with expressed NF-κB(P=0.036). The 5-year survival rate of the patients with negative expression of NF-κB and positive expression of IL-1ra was statistically higher than the others (P=0.021). [Conclusions] NF-κB is the adverse predictors of prognosis of gastric cancer. IL-1ra maybe play a protective role in early gastric cancer stage, but it is necessary to study deeply and get more evidences.

Objective To investigate the radiation dose delivered to the patients with dense breasts and the influence of photographic conditions on image quality in full field digital mammography (FFDM).Methods (1) Clinical test:we analyzed the compression thickness of breasts,Target-filter(T-F),voltage current (kV),tube current (mAs),average glandular dose (AGD) and entrance surface dose (ESE) of 100 patients (a total of 370 images,277 images of Molybdenum-Rhodium(Mo-Rh)and 93 images of Wolfram-Rhodium (W-Rh)) who underwent examinations in mode of automatic exposure by FFDM with dense breasts.(2) Phantom experiments:placed the Aluminium plate on different thickness of polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) plates to simulate the dense breasts.68 mm phantom was used to simulate photographic condition of W-Rh and 58 mm to Mo-Rh.The two groups of dense phantom were exposed automatically and manually.The parameters were recorded for each exposure including the compression thickness of breasts,T-F,kV,mAs,AGD,ESE,the calculation of the ratio between ESE and AGD (ESE/AGD).The image quality figure inverse (IQFInv) was obtained by software.To the clinical test,used multiple factors of variance to analyze the influence of compression thickness and mAs on AGD and ESE,Pearson correlation and regression to analyze the influence of compression thickness on ESE/AGD.To the phantom experiments,used Pearson correlation to analyze the influence of kV and mAs on AGD,ESE and ESE/AGD,single factor of variance to analyze the influence of kV and mAs on IQFInv.Results (1) Clinical test:to Mo-Rh and W-Rh,with the increase of compression thickness,ESE/AGD was increased significantly.Compression thickness had linear relationship with ESE/AGD.Pearson correlation coefficients of W-Rh and Mo-Rh were 0.956 and 0.980,respectively(P＜0.01).The effects of compression thickness and mAs on AGD and ESE were statistically significant (P＜0.05) in the two groups.(2)Phantom experiments:adjusted exposure parameters to the two dense phantoms of W-Rh and Mo-Rh.With the increase of mAs and kV,IQFInv was increased in W-Rh and Mo-Rh.Different mAs and kV were statistically significant (P＜0.05) on IQFInv,mAs and kV had positive correlation with ESE and AGD (P＜0.05),mAs and kV had different correlation with ESE/AGD in the two dense phantoms.Conclusions In mode of automatic exposure by FFDM,choosing W-Rh can achieve relatively high image quality and lower radiation dose.According to the results of phantom experiments,adjusting kV and mAs properly in manual exposure can reduce AGD and ESE effectively and ensure the quality of the image.

Objective To investigate rite effects of loag-term exposure to low-level sevoflurane on reproductive function in mice.Method F0ny male ICR mice,aged 60 d,weighlag 20-25 g,were randomly divided into 4 groups(n=10 each):control group received no sevoflunme(C);group S1-3 were exposed to 0.003%.0.01% and 0.03% sevoflurane 2 h per day for 5 consecutive days per week for 8 weeks respectively. The mice were then sacrificed at the end of the 8 weeks.The testes and epididymis were emoved and sampled for determination of the activities of total lactic dehydregenase(LDH)and lactic dehydrogenase-X(LDH-X),and the motility rate,amount,and aberration rate of sperm.Testicular uhrastructure were observed by transmission electron microscopy.Results The sperm motifity nne were significantly lower.the sperm aberration rate higher and the activity of LDH-X lower in group S3 than in group C(P<0.05),but there was no significant difference in the above parametem between group SI and group S2(P>0.05).The pathology changed of testes occurred only in group S3 among the 3 groups.Conclusion Long-term exposure to 0.03% sevoflurane can result in the abnormality of the reproductive function in male mice but exposure to≤0.01%sevoflurane dose not.

In order to evaluate the moUuseicidal effect of 50% wettable power of niclosamide ethanolamine salt(WPN)combined with urea against Oncomelania snails in the field,4 g/m~2 WPN,4 g/m~2 WPN+20 g/m2 urea and 4 g/m~2 WPN+30 g/m~2 urea were used for mollusciciding with the spraying method.The results showed after 7 days,the mortality rates of snail were 74.43% for 4 g/m~2 WPN,90.32% for 4 g/m~2 WPN+20 g/m~2 urea and 94.83% for 4 g/m~2 WPN+30 g/m~2 urea,respectively.It is indicated that WPN combined with urea can improve the molluscieidal effect significantly.

[ ABSTRACT] AIM:To investigate the preventive effect of Guizhi decoction on myocardial injury after chemical sympathectomy induced by 6-hydroxydopamine (6-OHDA).METHODS:Wistar rats (n=54) were randomly divided in-to 6 groups.Methycobal and Guizhi decoction ( with different proportions between Ramulus Cinnamomi and Radix paeoniae Alba at 2∶1, 1∶2 or 1∶1) were pre-administered to the rats.Immunohistochemical method was used to observe the cardiac sympathetic nerve distribution.The contents of tyrosine hydroxylase (TH), choline acetylaminotransferase (ChAT) and growth-associated protein 43 (GAP-43) in the left ventricle were measured by ELISA.The serum levels of myocardial en-zymes and morphology of myocardial tissues were also observed.RESULTS:6-OHDA successfully induced cardiac sympa-thetic denervation as the contents of TH and GAP-43 in the left ventricle declined significantly.Compared with model group, the content of TH was elevated in both methycobal group and Guizhi decoction groups, while the content of GAP-43 was elevated only in Guizhi decoction groups.The serum levels of myocardial enzymes and the histopathological changes of the cardiac tissues were deteriorated after injection of 6-OHDA, indicating that the myocardial injury was established. Methycobal and Guizhi decoction normalized the abnormal change.Guizhi decoctions at 2∶1 and 1∶1 showed the best effi-cacy.CONCLUSION:6-OHDA-induced sympathetic denervation causes myocardial injury.Guizhi decoction with the proportions between Ranulus Cinnamomi and Radix paeoniae Alba at 2∶1 and 1∶1 effectively alleviate the myocardial injury after cardiac sympathetic denervation induced by 6-OHDA.

AIM: To discuss the relationship between prostate specific membrane antigen(PSMA) and prostate cancer and to seek a target for diagnosis and therapy of prostate cancer.METHODS: A pair of primers was designed according to the published PSMA mRNA sequence.Total RNA was extracted from prostate cancer tissues and was reversely transcribed into cDNA,which was used as a template for PCR to amplify the PSMA gene.The recombinant was sequenced and the result was analyzed by BLAST.The PSMA5 gene specific primers were designed to identify its expression in different cells and prostate tissues.RESULTS: A new alternatively spliced variant of PSMA named PSMA5 was discovered when sequencing the recombinant.PSMA5 showed well pathological tissue-specificity,and its expression rate in prostate cancer,benign prostatic hyperplasia of prostate,and normal prostate tissue were 92.6%,78.8% and 10.0%,respectively.It expressed specifically in Pca cell line LNCaP,not in cell lines of PC3,bladder carcinoma,renal carcinoma,or hepatoma.CONCLUSION: A new alternative spliced variant of PSMA named PSMA5 was discovered,which was well correlated with prostate cancer and benign prostatic hyperplasia.This finding may give a new clue to the evolution of prostate cancer and may provide a target for the diagnosis and therapy of prostate cancer.

AIM: To find out the gene structure and diversity of protate specific membrane antigen(PSMA) alternative spliced variants, and probe into the pathogenesis of prostate cancer.METHODS: 5'-RACE and 3'-RACE methods were used to amplify the 5' and 3'end of alternative spliced variant and then those viariants were sequenced for analyzing the gene stucture and diversity of PSMA alternative spliced variants of prostate cancer tissues.RESULTS: Four new alternative spliced variants of PSMA were discovered from prostate cancer tissues.Compared with reported PSMA alternative spliced variants,different insertions and deletions existed in different sites of those new variants.CONCLUSION: The discovery of the new variants confirms the diversity of PSMA spliced variants and provides the clues for seeking the target of diagnosis and therapy of prostate cancer.

Objective To explore the correlation between hypokalemia and sudden death in young and middle-aged people. Methods One hundred and twenty-nine young and middle-aged patients with sudden death during treatment were selected as observation group. Then 100 cases of healthy volunteers were randomly selected as control group. The incidence of cardiovascular disease, incidence of hypokalemia and intake of potassium were compared between 2 groups. Results The incidences of hypertension, arrhythmia, myocardial infarction, heart failure and hypokalemia in observation group were significantly higher than those in control group: 17.05% (22/129) vs. 5.00%(5/100), 13.18% (17/129) vs. 2.00% (2/100), 26.36% (34/129) vs. 9.00% (9/100), 9.30% (12/129) vs. 1.00% (1/100) and 55.04% (71/129) vs. 12.00% (12/100), and there were statistical differences (P<0.01). The ratios of higher, common, lower intake of potassium in observation group were 1.55%(2/129), 27.91% (36/129) and 70.54%(91/129), in control group were 15.00% (15/100), 58.00% (58/100) and 27.00% (27/100), and there was statistical difference (P<0.01). Logistic regression analysis result showed that hypertension, arrhythmia, myocardial infarction, heart failure, hypokalemia and lower intake of potassium were the risk factor for sudden death (P<0.01). The incidences of hypertension, arrhythmia, myocardial infarction and heart failure in hypokalemia patients were significantly higher than those in normokalemia patients: 28.92% (24/83) vs. 2.05% (3/146), 19.28% (16/83) vs. 2.05% (3/146), 44.58%(37/83) vs. 4.11% (6/146) and 13.25% (11/83) vs. 1.37% (2/146), and there were statistical differences (P<0.01). The incidence of hypokalemia in people with lower intake of potassium was significantly higher than that in people with higher and common intake of potassium: 56.78% (67/118) vs. 2/17 and 14.89%(14/94), and there was statistical difference (P<0.01). Conclusions There is a significant correlation between hypokalemia and sudden death in young and middle-aged people. Preventive measures of sudden death should be made according to serum potassium level in clinic. People should pay attention to the uptake of potassium in daily life.
