The effect of addition nucleotides on heparinase production by Flavobacterium heparinum was reseached. The result indicated that addition of nucleotides cause different effects on heparinase production depend on its addi ng mode, single kind of nucleotide would restrain, but multiplex promote. The s trongest promotion happened when the propotion of nucleotides was consistent wit h the nucleic acids of heparinase mRNA. HPLC result confined the entrance of nu cleoides to the bactera cell. And it also suggested the synthesis metabolic of nucleic acids in F.heparinum was imbalance, there always be higher lever of purin nucleoides. L-Asp was added to medium culture to enhance pyridine nucle oides thynesis in order to improve the enzyme production ,which has been affecte d by the imbalance of nucleoides.

Objective To observe the parameters and effect of endocardial pacing by steel wire electrode cardiac puncture on heart with normal beat in living animal, and evaluate its safety. Methods After anaesthesia and thoracotomy in 6 living dogs with normal heart beat, the pericardia were excised. Steel wire electrodes with annular or hook tips were used respectively at right ventricular 4 corresponding spots to perform cardiac puncture endocardiac pacing (each dog experienced 8 times of puncture); the time from puncture to effective pacing, pacing parameter and puncture complication (time and quantity of bleeding) of each electrode at each spot were recorded. Finally, the two types of electrode completed 24 times of manipulation respectively; the data collected of the two types were compared. Results The cardiac pacing successful rates in the two groups were 100%; the time taken from the beginning of heart puncture to effective pacing in annular tip group was less than that in hook tip group, but the time difference between the two groups showed no statistical significance (s: 18.4±2.3 vs. 19.6±4.1,P > 0.05). The parameters of pacing in the annular tip group, such as operation time (s: 18.4±2.3 vs. 19.6±4.1), the threshold value of pacing (V: 2.1±0.2 vs. 2.2±0.8), the amplitude of R wave sensed (mV: 11.3±3.2 vs. 12.6±4.1) and the impedance of electrode (Ω: 674.2±89.7 vs. 668.5±101.3) were not significantly different compared with those in the hook tip group (allP > 0.05). Either after puncture or after the electrodes were taken out, the time of bleeding [after puncture (minutes): 4.4±2.3 vs. 4.5±3.1, after the electrodes taken out (minutes): 4.1±2.2 vs. 4.8±2.5] and the volume of bleeding [after puncture (mL): 2.8±2.4 vs. 3.2±3.5, after the electrodes taken out (mL): 3.3±1.7 vs. 3.5±2.6] were not significantly different between the two groups (allP > 0.05).Conclusions In living dogs with normal heart beat, the manipulation and function of endocardiac pacing by cardiac puncture with either steel wire annular or hook tip electrode are well and effective, and the performance is simple and safe without any serious myocardial injury and complication. Thus, it is helpful to quickly establish efficient endocardiac pacing in emergency cases.

OBJECTIVE:
To explore the growing development and community succession of main sarcosaphagous insects on pig carcasses in summer indoor and outdoor environment in Shenzhen area and to estimate the postmortem interval (PMI).
METHODS:
From early May to August in 2013, in Forensic Medical Examination Center of Shenzhen Public Security Bureau, the main insect species and the decomposition process were observed in two adult pig carcasses of simulative indoor and outdoor environment. The different decomposition stages and the community succession of insects were recorded.
RESULTS:
The indoor and outdoor pig carcasses showed skeleton 412.5 and 325 hours after death, respectively. The main species of flies on pig carcasses were Chrysomya megacephala, Chrysomya rufifacies and Chrysomya chani. The main species of beetles were Crecphilus maxillosus, Necrobia ruficollis, Saprinus splendens and Dermestes maculatu. The dominant species of flies in the outdoor pig carcasses obviously produced the second generations due to the effect of mass rainfall, nor in the indoor pig carcasses.
CONCLUSION
There are regular patterns on the community succession of insects on pig carcasses in summer indoor and outdoor environment in Shenzhen area. The activity patterns of seven typical insects and their larva show important value for estimating PMI.

Journal of Zhejiang University. Medical sciences 2008;37(6):544-550
Melamine (Tripolycyanamide) and its derivatives have recently become a public concern on food safety. To better understand melamine and its major derivative cyanuric acid.literature on their chemical properties, metabolism, biological effects, relevant toxicology studies, and the detection methods is reviewed. Studies indicate that the acute toxicity of melamine and cyanuric acid is low. In mammalian, these compounds are hardly metabolized in vivo and are rapidly eliminated in the urine. When used in large dosage, these compounds demonstrate marked renal toxicity,as well as toxic effect towards heart. The renal toxicity is exemplified by the calculi formation, acute renal failure, and subsequently induced carcinomas of the urinary bladder. Among the tested species, male cats and rats are more prone to be affected by the compounds. The HPLC/MS/MS is becoming the mainstay of the detection methods. Despite of the achieved knowledge on melamine and cyanuric acid, further research is warranted to unveil the mechanism of underlying susceptibility of kidney, to develop better analytic methods, and to explore possible biomarkers for better clinical diagnosis.

Objective To investigate the effect of spine disease on pelvic sagittal alignment and hip biomechanics in total hip arthroplasty (THA) patients. Methods The clinical data of 120 THA patients who had normal lumbar spine (control group) and 40 THA patients who had lumbar disease (lumbar disease group) between January 2013 and September 2015 in Shenzhen Longhua District People′s Hospital were analyzed. Radiographical parameters, like lumbar lordosis (LL), pelvic incidence(PI), pelvic tilt (PT) and sacralslope (SS) were collected and compared. Normal and pathological musculoskeletal simulation model was established based on standing and sitting X-ray pelvic alignment. Hip contact force, moment and muscle forces in standing posture and sitting to standing posture were calculated. Results The value of LL in lumbar disease group was shorter than that in control group:(34.23 ± 12.81)°vs. (47.26 ± 14.67)°, P<0.05. Butthe value of PI in two groups had no significant difference (P>0.05). The value of PT and SS in two groups had significant differences: (17.51 ± 2.31)°vs. (8.31 ± 1.34)°,(27.61 ± 1.72)°vs. (38.01 ± 1.92)°, P<0.05. At standing position and sitting moment position, the joint force and moment value between disease model and control model had significant differences (P<0.05), and the differences were mainly in sagittal and vertical axis (P<0.05). At standing position and the moment of sitting up, the extorsion muscle activation was at lower level and had no significant difference (P>0.05). Conclusions Pelvic sagittal alignment pathology could change hip biomechanical situation, making threats to hip stability.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the effects of arsenic trioxide (As(2)O(3)) on the apoptosis and P-glyco-protein (P-gp) expression of multidrug-resistant human leukemia K562/ADM cells, and the combined effects of As(2)O(3) with conventional chemotherapeutic agents.
METHODSMultidrug-resistant human leukemia cell line K562/ADM that overexpresses mdr-1 gene was used as the target cells. The cell proliferating activity was assessed with a MTT assay. Cell morphology was examined by light microscopy, confocal microscopy and electron-microscopy. P-gp expression, cell-cycle status were determined by flow cytometry.
RESULTSK562/ADM cells were highly resistant to adriamycin, and cross-resistant to daunorubicin and etoposide. As(2)O(3) at concentrations of 0.5 to 20 micromol/L inhibited the proliferation of K562/ADM cells, and K562/ADM cells were more sensitive to As(2)O(3) than their parent K562 cells did. As(2)O(3) induced marked apoptosis of K562/ADM cells showed by typical apoptotic morphological changes and the appearance of high sub-G(1) cell population. As(2)O(3) significantly inhibited the P-gp expression in K562/ADM cells, and exerted a synergistic effect on the enhancement of the cell sensitivity to adriamycin, daunorubicin and etoposide.
CONCLUSIONAs(2)O(3) induces growth-inhibition and apoptosis of multidrug-resistant K562/ADM cells, and augments synergistically the sensitivity of the cells to conventional chemotherapeutic agents via down-regulation of P-gp expression.

Objective To provide evidence-based recommendations to the government on strategies for reducing the impact of the imminent influenza pandemic, we conducted a survey on the personal protective and healthcare seeking behaviors of Beijing residents in the wake of the worldwide epidemic of the novel 2009 H1N1 influenza virus, and potential changes in these behaviors during a full-blown pandemic. Methods We used a two-stage Mitofsky-Waksberg telephone survey to collect information for Beijing residents ≥ 18 years of age and weighted the sample by the census estimate of Beijing population for 2008. A structured questionnaire was used to collect information about the respondents' knowledge regarding the novel influenza virus, current personal protective and healthcare seeking behaviors during a full-blown influenza pandemic. Results 286 Beijing urban residents were interviewed during May 15 to 18 (response rate: 62%). 77%(95%CI: 71%-82%) of the residents that they would cover their sneezes at home, and 93%(95%CI: 89%-96%) would do so in a public place. Of the residents would cover their sneezes at home, 66% (95%CI: 57%-74%) would covered their sneezes by hand, 33% (95%CI:25%-42%) by facial tissue, and only 0.4% (95%CI: 0.1%-2.9%) by sleeves. Similarly, of the residents would cover their sneezes at a public place, 64% (95%CI: 56%-71%) would cover their sneezes by hand, 33%(95%CI: 26%-41%) by facial tissue and 0% by sleeves. 46% (95% CI: 32%-59%) of the residents would wash their hands after covering their sneezes with hand in public places, and 77% (95%CI: 64%-89%) would do so at home. Higher percentages of residents would wear a mask (63%, 95% CI: 56%-70%) and get vaccinated (43%, 95% CI: 37%-50%) during a pandemic than under currently situation (3.5%, 95% CI: 1.7%-7.0% for wearing a mask; 13%, 95% CI: 9.8%-18% for getting vaccinated). 86% (95% CI: 81%-89%) of the residents would visit a doctor for an influenza-like illness during a pandemic, similar to the percentage currently seen (76%, 95%CI: 70%-81%). 71%(95%CI: 63%-78%) of the residents would visit a doctor for influenza-like illness and would choose a tertiary medical center; with percentage (74% , 95% CI: 66%-80%) similar to the one during a pandemic. Conclusion Beijing residents need to be aware of the proper ways to cover their noses when sneezing (especially using their sleeves more), and to wash their hands. An effective plan to triage patients should be immediately established to efficiently utilize the limited healthcare resources, which would likely be further strained during a pandemic.

Objective Vibrio cholera was extremely rare in Sichuan province (no cases in 2008). Any outbreak could indicate contamination through the food supply system. In July 2009, a hospital reported a cluster of 7 diarrhea patients; all attended the same banquet. One patient was confirmed to have Vibrio cholera (O139). We conducted this investigation to identify the source of this possible cholera outbreak. Methods We defined a suspect case as any banquet attendee with diarrhea ( ≥3 times/day). A confirmed case was a suspect case with a positive Vibrio cholera culture. We took stool samples or rectal swabs from all attendees for cholera culture and interviewed 272 banquet attendees about foods they ate at the banquet and kitchen workers about food preparation. Results 7.1% (24/337) of attendees developed cases within an average of 65 hours after eating. Three meals were served. All patients had the lunch whereas no patients only ate breakfast and/or dinner. Of 180 attendees who ate turtle meat 12% were case-patients, compared to 3.3% of 92 attendees who did not (RR=3.6,95%CI: 1.1-12). Of the 150 attendees who ate peanuts 13% were cases compared to 4.1%of 122 attendees who did not eat peanuts (RR=3.1,95%CI: 1.2-8.0). During preparation, the same utensil was used for fresh turtle meat and peanuts without washing in-between the process. Turtle meat and peanuts were stored for > 16 hours at room temperature after cooking before consumption. All 33 turtles originated from commercial production in another province. Conclusion This outbreak was likely caused by poor food handling of commercially produced turtles. We proposed that to improve microbiologic monitoring of aquatic food animals, and raise the awareness of good handling practices at mass gathering in rural China.
