Autophagy is a crucial biological process in eukaryotes, which is involved in cell growth, survival and energy metabolism. It has been confirmed that autophagy mediates toxicity of anticancer drugs, especially in heart, liver and neuron. It is important to understand the function and mechanism of autophagy in anticancer drugs-induced toxicity. Given that autophagy is a double-edged sword in the maintenance of the function of heart, liver and neuron, the autophagy-mediated toxicity are very complicated in the body. We provide a review on the concept of autophagy and current status about autophagy-mediated toxicity of anticancer drugs. The knowledge is crucial in the basic study of anticancer drugs-induced toxicity, and provides some strategies for the development of alleviating the toxicity of anticancer drugs.

Journal of Practical Radiology 2001;0(08):-
Objective To investigate the applied value of multi-slice CT(MSCT) in diagnosis of hip trauma. Methods The volume scans according to conventional pelvic scan were performed in 26 cases with hip trauma by SIEMENS Sensation 4 MSCT,then the images in thin slice of low and high contrast were reconstructed. After that, all the source images were transfered into CT 3D work stations, images such as multiplanar reconstructions(MPR).Maximum intensity projection(MIP), surface shade display(SSD) and volume rendering technic(VRT) were obtained. All images were observed and analysed by two radiologists. Results All post process images that obtained from the MSCT showed 19 patients with acetabular fractures ,8 with femoral head fractures ,7 with hips dislocation and 5 with piece of fracture in the hip joint. MSCT 3-dimension imaging could produce clear and comprehensive images of hip fracture and dislocation or piece of fracture .The rate of displaying hip trauma with thin slice MPR and MIP was 100%.Conclusion The MSCT thin slice MPR imaging is the best noninvasive imaging method in showing the hip joint. It is of high value in diagnosis of hip trauma in clinical practice.

To observe the clinical outcome of implanting AcrySof lQ Toric intraocular lens to correct corneal astigmatism in cataract surgery, and to evaluate the result and rotational stability of AcrySof lQ Toric after cataract surgery.
●METHODS: A retrospective study of 26 eyes in 21 cataract patients with corneal astigmatism. All patients implanted AcrySof lQ Toric intraocular lens. The preoperative and postoperative uncorrected visual acuity ( UCVA ), best corrected visual acuity ( BCVA ), preoperative corneal astigmatism, anticipated residual astigmatism, total astigmatism, postoperative residual astigmatism and Toric lens axis were detected and measured.
●RESULTS: All patients' visual acuity and best corrected visual acuity improved significantly. The mean refractive cylinder decreased significantly after surgery from (2. 05± 0. 57)D to (0. 55±0. 33)D (t = 13. 574, P<0. 05). There was no significant difference between preoperative ( 0. 47 ± 0. 19)D and postoperative corneal astigmatism (t = 1. 149, P > 0. 05 ). Three months after surgery, there was no significant difference between preoperative (2. 01±0. 58)D and postoperative (-1. 89±0. 53) D corneal astigmatism (t =1. 908, P> 0. 05). The rotation of intraocular lens were <20°, the mean rotation was 3. 65°±2. 86°.
●CONCLUSlON: The AcrySof lQ Toric lens make cataract patients enjoy the better UCVA including good rotational stability in the correct of corneal astigmatism. The AcrySof lQ Toric implantation is an effective option for the correct of preexisting corneal astigmatism in cataract surgery.
