The incidence of breast tumors has increasing trend year by year recently.Ultrasound has become a main means of screening and diagnosis in breast tumors for its lack of radiation, harmlessness to op- erator and patient, convenience and repeatrbility.Grey-scale uhrasonography, color doppler flow imaging,col- or doppler energy contrast enhanced ultrasonogrphy,3-D ultrasonography,elastomography,ultrasound-guided biopsy are main methods for both detection and differentiation in breast tumors. The purpose of this paper is to review the applications of these techniques in breast tumors diagnosis.

Objective To explore the therapeutic effectiveness and pathways of human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells (hUCMSCs) transplantation for acute hepatic failure in rats.Method hUCMSCs were isolated from umbilical cord with attachment culture method, and the surface antigens were tested by flow cytometry.Forty-eight male Sprague Dawley rats were randomly divided into four groups. The animal model of acute liver failure was induced by injecting intraperitoneally with 50% olive oil solution of carbon tetrachloride (2.5 ml/kg).The treatment groups were injected with hUCMSCs suspension separately through the tail vein or injected into the liver 24 h post-modeling.Blood serum and liver tissues were collected at several time points to analyze the improvement of liver function and histological repair.Real-time PCR was used to detect the expression of human CK8,CK18 and AFP mRNA in liver tissues.Immunohistochemistry was used to detect the expression of human CK18 in liver tissues.Result There were statistically significant differences among liver functions after transplantation (P<0.05).hUCMSCs improved histological status through enhancing hepatocellular regeneration and reducing inflammatory cells.Real-time PCR results showed that the expression of CK8,CK18 and AFP mRNA was obviously increased in the tail vein transplantation group and hepatic lobe injection transplantation group as compared with the model group (P<0.05).Immunochemistry results revealed that transplanted hUCMSCs in animal liver could differentiate into functional hepatocyte-like cells that expressed human CK18 as hepatocyte-specific marker in the tail vein transplantation group and hepatic lobe injection transplantation group. No significant differences in histological repair and grade of differentiation were examined between the tail vein transplantation group and hepatic lobe injection transplantation group (P>0.05).Conclusion hUCMSCs can prompt the repair of acute liver failure and enhance pathological repair.Transplanted cells in animal liver can differentiate into functional hepatocyte-like cells that expressing hepatocyte-specific markers.Transplantation of hUCMSCs via the tail vein or direct injection into the liver had the similar therapeutic effects.

Objective The factors influencing the dose distribution of intracavitary brachytherapy for moderately advanced and advanced uterine cervical cancer was studied. Methods Ninty-five patients with cervical cancerⅡ~Ⅲb who received radical radiation therapy in our department from Aug,2004 to Nov,2005,were treated with after-loading brachytherapy using, first, the self-designed“Mutipurpose Hori- zontal Transit Table”(MPHTT) for locating and treatment before the intracavitaray brachytherapy proper. The deviation of isodose curve based on A-B reference system, and the dose of deviation was defined by measuring in a practical standard phantom. Results There were significant influence on the deviation of i- sodose curve in pathology and para-metrial infiltration of cervical cancer and operating skill, but negative to clinical stage. The degree of deviation of isodose curve could not be lowered with the increase in sessions of intracavitary brachytherapy. Conclusions It is necessary to perform the locating,by use of mphtt, before the proper brachytherapy for patients with cervical cancer, not only for the identification of the deviation of i- sodose curve, but also to provide the evidence for revising the plan for dose adjustment of conformal radiation therapy in the pelvic cavity.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the typical features of contrast-enhanced ultrasound imaging in malignant lymphoma after treatment with integrated Chinese and Western medicine.
METHODSTen patients with malignant lymphoma after different treatment cycles were examined with contrast-enhanced sonography, including 21 lymphnodes (in the neck, space of iliac blood vessels, retroperitoneum) and 7 spleen infiltrations.
RESULTSThe blood flow pattern distribution in lymph node before freatment was significantly different from that after trentment showed either by color Doppler flow imaging (CDFI) or by contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS, P < 0.05), and the difference in splenic lesion was shown by CEUS (P < 0.05).
CONCLUSIONContrast-enhanced ultrasound imaging is a valuable tool for the follow-ups of malignant lymphoma after chemotherapy and guiding subsequent treatment.

OBJECTIVETo explore the efficacy of Tuina for postpartum lactation and work out a optimal protocol involved.
METHODSWith a randomized, controlled and clinical method, 84 primiparas were divided into a Tuina group and a control group. While patients in the control group received rooming-in conventional managements, those in the Tuina group were additionally treated with Tuina, including local manipulations on breasts combined with acupoint manipulations. The colostrum-time, lactation quantity and prolactin were observed to make the comparisons between two groups.
RESULTSThe scores of lactation quantity after 1th, 2nd, 3rd of the treatment were 1.660 +/- 0.785, 2.530 +/- 1.030, 2.880 +/- 1.171 in Tuina group and 1.270 +/- 0.533, 1.460 +/- 0.811, 1.500 +/- 0.583 in control group respectively, where there were significant differences in each time stage between two groups (all P < 0.001). The time of colostrum was (21.6 6 +/- 10.508) h in the Tuina group and (22.5 +/- 9.762) h in the control group, in which the difference was not statistically significant (P > 0.05). The levels of prolactin (314.35 +/- 110.37) ng/mL and (321.56 +/- 109.61) ng/mL in Tuina group, (385.78 +/- 85.19) ng/mL and (340.12 +/- 103.10) ng/mL in control group before and after treatment, there were no significant differences (both P > 0.05).
CONCLUSIONPostpartum Tuina on breasts could increase the quantity of lactation and delay the decreasing of the levels of prolactin, which contributes primiparas to lactate more and sooner.
