1.Forefoot plantar pressure changes of the first tarsometatarsal joint fracture-dislocation fixation by different internal fixations.
China Journal of Orthopaedics and Traumatology 2015;28(2):157-161
OBJECTIVETo measure the changes of plantar pressure of the first tarsometatarsal joint fracture and dislocation by three different implants to provide experimental reference in selecting implants.
METHODSEight fresh foot specimens were made into the models of the first tarsometatarsal joint fracture and dislocation, which were fixed with 3.5 mm cortical screw, 1/4 tubular plate and compressive staple in turn. After the loading of 600 N, the changes of the plantar pressure in forefoot were measured by the method of the F-scan plantar pressure system.
RESULTSAfter first tarsometatarsal joint fracture and dislocation, the peak pressure under the first metatarsal head would decrease, while the pressure under the second metatarsal head would increased, whose differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). When the first tarsometatarsal joint was fixed with screw or plate respectively; the peak pressure under the two metatarsal heads would tend to be normal. However, the staple fixation showed the statistical significant difference compared with normal state, although the peak pressure under the first and second metatarsal heads were recovered in some extent(P<0.05).
CONCLUSIONAfter the first tarsometatarsal joint fracture-dislocation, the plantar pressure might be compensated partly by the adjacent metatarsal heads according to the regulation of the load transfer mechanism. While the first tarsometatarsal joint fracture-dislocation was fixated by screw or plate, the plantar pressure of the forefoot would return to the normal state. However,if the joint was fixated by the staple, it would still be difficult to return the plantar pressure to be normal.

OBJECTIVETo observe the prevention and clinical efficacy of combination of Liuwei Dihuang Pill (LDP) and Ginkgo Leaf Tablet (GLT) for early diabetic retinopathy (DR).
METHODSUsing randomized, double-blind, double simulation, parallel controlled clinical trial, 140 type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) outpatients were recruited and assigned to the treatment group and the control group, 70 in each group. All patients received basic Western medicine treatment (such as blood glucose and pressure control). Patients in the treatment group took LDP (8 pills each time, 3 times per day) and GLT (19.2 mg each time, 3 times per day), while those in the control group took LDP placebos and GLT placebos. All treatment lasted for 24 consecutive months. All subjects were followed-up every month. The general clinical data as sex, age, and metabolic data such as blood glucose, blood pressure, blood lipid, and DR prevalence rate were collected and statistically analyzed.
RESULTSThere was no significant difference in levels of blood glucose, blood pressure, or blood lipid between the two groups (P > 0.05). After treatment the DR incidence rate was significantly lower in the treatment group than in the control group [3.1% (2/64) vs 18.6% (11/59), P < 0.05)]. Meanwhile, the DR prevalence rate of the treatment group was also significantly lower than that of the control group [6.3% (4/64) vs 20.0% (13/59), P < 0.05].
CONCLUSIONCombination of LDP and GLT could effectively prevent and treat the development of DR in T2DM patients.

Objective To evaluate the effects of selected decontamination of the digestive tract(SDD) on intestinal derived endotoxmia, inflammation mediator and clinical outcome in patients of rheumatic heart disease undergoing valve replacement operation with cardiopulmonary bypass(CPB).Methods Thirty patients with CPB were randomly divided into control group(n=15) and treatment group(SDD group,n=15).The patients in control group routinely took preoperative preparation while those in treatment group orally administrated Tobramycin 100 mg,garlicin 40 mg and Lactulose 10ml three times per day in addition to routinely preoperative bowel preparation. The levels of endotoxin,D-lactate,TNF-? and complement 3 were measured at four time points of anesthetic induction,CPB end,2 h and 24 h after CPB.Results The level of D-lactate in the patients of SDD group was significantly lower than that of the control group at time points of anesthetic induction and 2 h after CPB(P0.05).Conclusion The endotoxemia can be induced by CPB.The regime of SDD is an effective way of preventing endotoxemia, but it may not have effect on inflammation medium and clinical outcome.

Objective To eveluate the effects of selected decontamination of the digestive tract (SDD) on intestinal flora and intestinally derived endotoxemia in patients of rheumatic heart disease undergoing valve replacement operation with cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) and the clinlical sigeficance. Methods Twenty-eight adults were randomly divided into the control group and the treatment group. Patients in the control group took preoperative preparation routinely while those in the treatment group were orally administrated with Tobramycin (100 mg), Garlicin (40 mg), and Lactulose (10 ml) three times per day in addition to the routine preoperative preparation. Intestinal floras were detected and the endotoxin levels of arterial blood were measured at four different time points. Results Endotoxin level of patients undergoing CPB increased significantly (P

Objective To study and establish the quantitative analysis method for verbascoside ,luteolin and apigenin in Siphono-stegia chinensis by HPLC .Methods HPLC was performed on Kromasil C18 (4 .6 mm × 250 mm ,5 μm) ,the mobile phase consisted of acetonitrile and water(containing 0 .1% phosphoric acid) at a flow rate of 1 .0 mL/min .The column temperature was set at 35℃ ,and the eluate was detected at 340 nm .Results Quantitative analysis of HPLC showed that the linear ranges of verbascoside , luteolin and apigenin were 0 .197 6~1 .482 μg (r=0 .999 8) ,0 .100 8~0 .756 μg (r=0 .999 7) ,0 .043 2~0 .324 μg (r=0 .999 7) respectively .The average recovery of verbascoside ,luteolin and apigenin were 99 .7% (RSD= 2 .0% ) ,99 .5% (RSD = 2 .3% ) , 99 .4% (RSD=2 .2% ) respectively .Conclusion The method is accurate ,feasible and reliable ,therefore it′s available for the quality control of Siphonostegia chinensis .

Objective To explore the oxidative stress pathogenesis of Parkinson's disease(PD) induced by paraquat in substantia nigra of mice. Methods The model of PD was established by oral administration of paraquat to mice. The spectrophotometry was used to determine the activities of superoxide dismutase(SOD) and glutathione peroxidase(GSH-PX) and the content of malondialdehyde(MDA) in substantia nigra. At the same time, number of tyrosine hydroxylase(TH) positive neurons in substantia nigra of mice was estimated by immunohistochemistry. Results The activities of SOD and GSH-PX were significantly decreased, and the content of MDA was increased in paraquat-treated mice compared to that of mice treated by saline taken orally(P
