Chinese Journal of Neurology 1999;0(06):-
Objective To investigate which subfamily genes of T cell receptor (TCR) V? expand predominantly during the course of experimental allergic neuritis (EAN). Methods Using RT-PCR and in situ hybridization techniques, the expression levels of TCR V? 2,6,8,10,14 in the peripheral blood, lymph nodes, peripheral nerves of group EAN and those of the control group were compared. Results In group EAN,the expression of TCR V? 6?8 mRNA increased at the early phage(41.1?1.1 and 74.4?1.9 vs 25.9?1.5 and 26.1?1.6) and became more significantly at the peak of the disease, and resolved to normal at the recovery phage in the lymph nodes. But they amounted up gradually from the early stage to the peak, and then decreased a little in the infiltrating T-lymphocytes in peripheral nerves, the difference was significant. In addition, the expression of TCR V? 8 was notably higher than that of TCR V? 6 in the levels of mRNA. Conclusion The subfamilies of TCRV? genes which restrict the development of EAN due to recognizing the specific antigens are TCRV? 8 and TCRV? 6. T lymphocytes specifically expressing TCR V?6?8 genes are activated and clonally proliferated in the lymph nodes, and then migrate to the involved peripheral nerves, which might induce a series of immune lesions consequently.

Objective To research serum level of interleukin-17 (IL-17)associated with the progression of hepatic injury in the chronic patients with hepatitis B. Methods The serum level of IL-17 was measured by ELISA and the serum levels of IL-6,IL-8 were measured by RIA in patient groups and healthy group, the patient groups including 42 mild patients, 37 moderate patients and 38 severe patients. Results IL-17,IL-6 and IL-8 levels in patient patients were significantly higher than those in healthy people(P< 0.01). There is no significant difference among mild patients and moderate patients. Compared with mild patients and moderate patients, the cytokines lever were significantly higher in severe patients(P<0.01). Conclusion IL-17 as a new cytokine probably play a multiple role as immune factor and inflammation element in the progression of the chronic hepatitis B disease. Maybe, it can provide a new approach to the therapy of the chronic hepatitis B.

Background::China’s two-child policy has led to a trend of aging in pregnancy which was associated with adverse outcomes. This study aimed to identify the clinically cutoff maternal age for adverse obstetric outcomes in China.Methods::This secondary analysis of a multicenter retrospective cohort study included data of childbearing women from 39 hospitals collected in urban China during 2011 to 2012. Logistic regression was used to assess the adjusted odds ratios (aOR) of adverse outcomes in different age groups in comparison to women aged 20 to 24 years. The adjustments included the location of the hospital, educational level, and residence status. Clinically cutoff age was defined as the age above which the aOR continuously become both statistically ( P < 0.05) and clinically (aOR > 2) significant. Results::Overall, 108,059 women were recruited. In primiparae, clinically cutoff maternal ages for gestational diabetes (aOR: 2.136, 95% confidence interval [CI]: 1.856-2.458, P < 0.001), placenta previa (aOR: 2.400, 95% CI: 1.863-3.090, P < 0.001), cesarean section (aOR: 2.511, 95% CI: 2.341-2.694, P < 0.001), hypertensive disorder (aOR: 2.122, 95% CI: 1.753-2.569, P < 0.001), post-partum hemorrhage (aOR: 2.129, 95% CI: 1.334-3.397, P < 0.001), and low birth weight (aOR: 2.174, 95% CI: 1.615-2.927, P < 0.001) were 27, 31, 33, 37, 41, and 41 years, respectively. In multiparae, clinically cutoff ages for gestational diabetes (aOR: 2.977, 95%CI: 1.808-4.904, P < 0.001), hypertensive disorder (aOR: 2.555, 95% CI: 1.836-3.554, P < 0.001), cesarean section (aOR: 2.224, 95% CI: 1.952-2.534, P < 0.001), post-partum hemorrhage (aOR: 2.140, 95% CI: 1.472-3.110, P < 0.001), placenta previa (aOR: 2.272, 95% CI: 1.375-3.756, P < 0.001), macrosomia (aOR: 2.215, 95% CI: 1.552-3.161, P < 0.001), and neonatal asphyxia (aOR: 2.132, 95% CI: 1.461-3.110, P < 0.001) were 29, 31, 33, 35, 35, 41, and 41 years, respectively. Conclusions::Early cutoff ages for gestational diabetes and cesarean section highlight a reasonable childbearing age in urban China. The various optimized cutoff ages for different adverse pregnancy outcomes should be carefully considered in childbearing women.

To elucidate the anti-depressive effect of Fufang Chaigui prescription and its mechanism and investigate its effect on neuroendocrine hormone, rats were included into a chronic unpredictable mild stress (CUMS) model for 28 d, and drugs were administered at the same time. During the period, rats' behaviors were observed and the blood was collected by using ELISA to determine representative hormone concentrations of HPAA, HPTA and HPGA. The changes in endogenous metabolites were analyzed by using H NMR metabolomics to seek the potential biomarkers. Results showed Fufang Chaigui prescription could improve the behaviors of CUMS rats obviously, increase contents of ACTH, CORT, T₃and decrease contents of TSH and TESTO and regulate the levels of lactate, α-glucose, choline, N-acetylglycoprotein, trimethylamine oxide and leucine to get closer to the contents of control group. The results of correlation analysis indicated that HPTA was associated with glycometabolism, amino acid metabolism and choline metabolism. And HPAA was related to glycometabolism and amino acid metabolism. However, HPGA was only correlated with glycometabolism. In conclusion, Fufang Chaigui prescription could show an obvious anti-depressive effect and its underlying mechanism might involve regulations of neuroendocrine function and pathways of glycometabolism, amino acid metabolism and choline metabolism.
