Objective To investigate the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor-C(VEGF-C) in human non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC) and to elucidate its roles in lymph node metastasis and prognosis evaluation. Methods The expression of VEGF-C was examined in 50 NSCLC specimens and 20 archival surgical specimens of human pulmonary inflammatory pseudotumor tissues by immunohistochemistry. Results The positive rate of VEGF-C expression in NSCLC and inflammatory pseudotumor was 44% and 5% respectively. There was significant difference in VEGF-C expression between the two groups. The expression rate of VEGF-C in NSCLC was significantly higher in the patients with lymph node metastasis (66 7%) than that in the patients without lymph node metastasis (23 1%, P

A cross-sectional study of 92 women with polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS) was performed. The patients were composed of 4 groups according to the Rotterdam criteria and were also divided into 2 groups according to body mass index and divided into 2 groups according to insulin-releasing test.Anthropometric measurements were recorded, and hormonal profile was assessed by measuring FSH,LH,prolactin, and testosterone. The metabolic profile was investigated by measuring glucose and insulin level during oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT),then calculating the homeostasis model assessment (HOMA).Serum lipid levels, including total cholesterol,triglycerides,high-density lipoprotein-cholesterol,and low-density lipoprotein-cholesterol were determirned. The result suggests that the classification according to the revised 2003 Rotterdam consensus on diagnosis does not reflect dyslipidemia in PCOS.Dyslipidemia in hyperinsulinemic group and obesity group were more severe than that in non-hyperinsulinemic group and non-obese group ; this finding needs our attention in early treatment and prevention of late complications of PCOS.

The purpose of this study was prospectively to research the relationship between EEG power spectrum and anesthesia depth. Twenty-four patients, aged 20 to 50 years , ASA grade ,scheduled for selected surgical operations, were randomly divided into two groups:enflurane and isoflurane groups. Anesthesia was induced by thiopental 5 mg/kg and atracurium 6-7 mg/kg intravenously and maintained by inhalation anesthetics. After intubation patients were ventilated mechanically to maintain the level of PETCO2 between 4. 27 and 4. 93 kpa. NIBP,HR,SpO2 , ECG and EEG were recorded during anesthesia. According to TOF stimulation test intravenous atracurium 10-15 mg was given intermittently to maintain the ratio of T4/T1 less than 25%. Two channels EEG monitor was applied with the filtration range from 0 to 30 Hz Anesthesia level, adjusted at 0. 5,0. 8, 1. 0, 1. 3, 1. 5, 1. 3, 1. 0, 0.8 or 0. 5 MAC in sequence ,was maintained for 10 to 15 minutes before SEF (spectral edge frequency)and MPF (median power frequency) were recorded. NIBP decreased and HR increased with the inhaled agent concentration (IAC) level rising. The lowest BPs were 13. 1 /9. 33 kPa and 12. 9/8. 1kpa in both groups. There were negative remarkable correlations between either SEF or MPF and IAC in both groups (=- 0. 94 and -0. 82,P

Objective To observe the preventive effect of immune tolerance induced by immature myeloid dendritic cell(iMDC) loading P2 58-73 peptide(P2 58-73aa-iMDC) in experimental autoimmune neuritis(EAN),and the effect on the expression of IFN-? and IL-33 mRNA.Methods(1)The iMDC were cultured in vitro for loading P2 58-73aa.(2) 21 adult female Lewis rats were randomly divided into the EAN(A)group,iMDC(B)group and P2 58-73aa-iMDC(C)group,and subcutaneously injected PBS,iMDC and P2 58-73aa-iMDC respectively. After 7 d,all the rats were immunized with P2 53-78aa and complete freunds adjuvant(CFA) to inducing EAN.Then, the situation of onset were observed and clinical score were evaluated till 16 d(the crest-time of onset) after immunization.(3) The lymphocyte proliferative response were assayed by 3H-TdR incorporation. The expression of IL-33,IFN-? mRNA in sciatic nerves, spleen and lymph node were detected by RT-PCR.Results(1)In the crest-time of onset, the clinical scores in groups A,B and C were(7.4?1.9),(5.2?1.6) and(3.4?0.9) respectively. There were significant differences between each two groups(allP

ObjectiveTo study the risk factors of childhood functional constipation.MethodsA cross-sectional analysis of risk factors associated with 182 cases of functional constipation in children was conducted from March 2013 to February 2014. ResultsThe male patients were more than females, mainly in preschool children. The risk factors were did not like fruits and vegetables (52.2%), drank less water (44.0%), did not develop the habit of daily bowel movement (39.5%), defecation fear (36.3%), inadequate food intake (25.8%). There were different risk factors in different age stages.ConclusionsFunctional constipation is related to gender, age, diet habits and mental psychology.

Objective To explore the clinical manifestation, imaging examination, treatment and prognosis of Alagille syndrome in a child combined with hepatocellular carcinoma. Method The clinical manifestation, assistant examination and diagnosis of Alagille syndrome combined with hepatocellular carcinoma were analyzed in the child, and the pertinent literature were reviewed. Results The 6-year-old girl was admitted to hospital for repeated jaundice, and had a history of cardiac surgery. After admission, the patient was found to have a typical face look such as frontal bossing, sunken eyes, pointed chin and hypertrophy of nasal tip. Blood biochemistry showed intrahepatic cholestasis and increased alpha-fetoprotein. Abdominal ultrasonography revealed diffuse multiple solid lesions in the liver. And magnetic resonance imaging of the liver indicated that the liver was enlarged and multiple solid space occupying masses. Jagged 1 gene detection showed heterozygosis mutation of c.1205delC. Conclusion Alagllie syndrome complicated with hepatocellular carcinoma in childhood is extremely rare, and early diagnosis and long-term follow-up are of positive significance for its treatment and prognosis.
