Age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and cataract are the most common causes of low vision worldwide.Nowadays, there is still a controversy about whether cataract surgery should be taken in patients combined with AMD and when should the surgery be taken.The aim of this review is to assess the influence of cataract surgery on the occurrence and development of AMD, to analyze the risk factors, to explore the occasion of cataract surgery in patients with AMD, and joint with anti-vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) treatment, also including the development and application of intraocular lens.It helps to avoid and postpone the development and progression of macular degeneration after cataract surgery and get good visual outcome.

A new organic-soluble co-reactant of N,N,N’,N’-tetrakis(propyl)-pentanediamine (TPPD) was synthesized and co-immobilized with tris ( 2, 2’-bipyridine ) ruthenium ditetrakis ( 4-chlorophenyl ) borate ([Ru(bpy)3][4-(Clph)4B]2) on an indium tin oxide (ITO) electrode for electrochemiluminescent (ECL) study. The hydrophobicity of TPPD prevented its leakage from the electrode surface, thus the long-term stability of the ECL electrode was enhanced. The TPPD/[Ru(bpy)3][4-(Clph)4B]2 modified-ITO electrode exhibited strong, stable and reproducible ECL signal. The ECL signal could be quenched efficiently by phenol with a quenching efficiency of 95. 4% in the presence of 0. 1 mmol/L phenol, demonstrating the potential of the modified electrode in determination of phenolic compounds. The transient-state of the electrogenerated chemiluminescence reaction was also investigated, which revealed that the TPPD/[Ru(bpy)3][4-(Clph)4B]2 modified-ITO electrode had a longer lifetime than conventional TPA-Ru(bpy)2+3 co-reactant system.

Objective To investigate the expression and diagnostic significance of CK19,CD56 and p53 protein in papillary thyroid microcarcinoma and thyroid papillary hyperplasia.Methods The expressions of CK19、CD56 and p53 protein were detected in 52 cases of papillary thyroid microcarcinoma and 31 of thyroid papillary hyperplasia by iImmunohistochemical methods.Results The positive rate of CK19 expression was 100 ％ (52/52) of papillary thyroid microcarcinoma and 29.0 ％ (9/31) in 31 of thyroid papillary hyperplasia.There was significant difference between two groups (P ＜ 0.001).CK56 in 2 cases (3.8 ％) of papillary thyroid microcarcinoma appeared mild positive expression,and in 20 cases (66.7 ％) of thyroid papillary hyperplasia positive expression (P ＜ 0.001).The positive expression rates of p53 were 69.2 ％(36/52) in papillary thyroid microcarcinoma and 6.5 ％ (2/31) in thyroid papillary hyperplasia (P ＜ 0.001).Conclusion CK19,CD56 and p53 may be important value on differential diagnosis of papillary thyroid microcarcinoma from thyroid papillary hyperplasia,and they are the indispensable markers of differential diagnosis.

[Summary] According to the cutpoint of plasma triglycerides concentration ≥ 1.7 mmol/L,waist circumference ≥85 cm in men or ≥80 cm in women,459 patiens with type 2 diabetes mellitus were divided into four groups:normal waist circumference and triglycerides,normal waist circumference and hypertriglyceridemia,abdominal obesity and normal triglycerides,and hypertriglyceridemic-waist (HTWC) group.The results showed that body mass index,waist circumference,systolic blood pressure,triglycerides,microalbuminuria,and homeostasis model assessment insulin resistance index (HOMA-IR) in HTWC group were higher than those in non-HTWC groups (all P＜0.01),as well as higher diabetic nephropathy incidence (P＜0.05).Multiple logistic regression analysis revealed that HTWC was an independent risk factor of diabetic nephropathy (OR =2.070,95 ％ CI 1.195-3.586).

Objective To explore the clinical significance of the brain natriuretic peptide(BNP) in evaluating the cardiotoxicity caused by daunorubicin(DNR) through studying the changes of the plasma BNP levels in children with acute leukemia who accepted the chemotherapy with DNR.Methods Thirty-one children with acute lymphoblastic leukemia(ALL) admitted in the year of 2002-2004 underwent the chemotherapy in DVLP project.The plasma level of BNP was measured by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA) and the left ventricular end diastolic diameter(LVEDD) by color Doppler respectively before and after the administration of DNR.Simultaneously,electrocardiography(ECG) and cardiac muscle enzymes(LDH1,CK-MB) were measured as routine.Results The plasma level of BNP increased from(3.97?2.41) ng/L to(18.25?7.63) ng/L(P

0.05). Conclusion Oral administration of prednisone can prevent modrate and severe OHSS and may have no effect on pregnant rate of IVF.
