Purpose To observe the curative effect of electroacupuncture in treating depression. Method Two hundred and ten subjects were randomly divided into electroacupuncture group and medication group. Results and conclusion The results were evaluated by an international depression scale in both groups. After one-course treatment, the average score markedly decreased in both groups, and a t-test showed that there was a significant difference in curative effect between before and after treatment in each group ( P < 0.001 ); but there was no such a difference between the two groups (P > 0.05 ).Electroacupuncture can be compared favorably with amitriptyline, an antidepressant. However, taking amitriptyline will produce some side effects. Therefore electroacupuncture is especially suitable for those who cannot take medicine.

Objective To investigate the relapse risk assessment for patients with acute promyelocytic leukemia(APL)through testing PML-RAR? fusion gene by real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction(RQ-PCR).Methods Relative copies of PML-RAR? fusion gene were measured in 25 patients with APL in phases of first diagnosis, complete remission(CR)and relapse. The minimal residual disease(MRD)situations were also monitored in 6 of the 25 patients. Results Different PML-RAR? fusion gene expression levels were observed in patient groups of different phases of the disease.(P

Objective We aimed to explore the experience of posttraumatic growth in patients with cervical cancer who had a hysterectomy at the childbearing age. Methods The phenomenological methodology was used in the study. An in-depth interview was conducted among 12 patients chosen by purposive sampling method. Results Through careful analysis and collation, three themes were identified:smashing the original assumption, searching the meaning of existence and rebuilding the new cognitive schemata. The experience of patients' was conformed to the model which was put forward by Tedeschi, and the theme changes in personal relationships, personal strength, altruism born from sufferings and new philosophy of life were conformed to theoretical connotation of PTG.Conclusions Clinical medical staff should update psychological nursing concept timely and taking advantages of PTG to help patients pass through their difficult period.

Purpose To characterize normal growth of the fetal fourth ventricle in the second trimester of pregnancy by standardized ultrasonography.Materials and Methods 516 cases of pregnant women with single fetus aged 18-27 weeks and 6 days were examined by conventional ultrasound. At the standard section of the fourth ventricle, the transverse dimension, anteroposterior dimension, circumference and area of the fourth ventricle were measured. Results The display rate of the fourth ventricles of fetuses aged 18-27 weeks and 6 days was up to 100%.There were no significant differences in the values of the fourth ventricles between fetuses with different gender (P>0.05).The values of the fourth ventricle, including transverse dimension, anteroposterior dimension, circumference and area, increased linearly with the increase of gestational age,and there were positive correlations (r=0.374,0.378,0.387,0.379,P<0.05).Conclusion The normal size of the fourth ventricle can be obtained by standardized measurement, which can be used as a reference for the clinical evaluation of the size of the fourth ventricle.

Objective To assess the CT image quality of the pure ground glass nodule(pGGN)in chest phantom by using different field of view(FOV)and matrix. Methods CT(Philips Brilliance 128 spiral CT)scans were performed on chest phantom containing 9 artificial pGGNs(diameter≥5 mm)in 3 different FOV (50 mm,150 mm,300 mm ),and were reconstructed in 2 different matrix(512×512, 1 024×1 024),standard kernel.Recorded the CT values and standard deviations (SD)of the nodules and surrounding regions in different FOV and matrix, and calculated the mean standard deviation(MSD),contrast noise ratio (CNR)and signal noise ratio (SNR),then compared the difference among them. Two radiologists assessed the image quality of the pGGNs in blind method respectively, then evaluated the coherence between them using Kappa testing. Results The coherence of 2 observers was substantial or almost perfect. No significant differences were found on MSD,CNR and SNR in different FOV (P value>0.05)when matrix was kept, whereas the visibility of the nodules improved with the FOV changing smaller. And there were significant differences all on MSD,CNR and SNR by using different matrix when FOV was kept. The MSD increased and the CNR,SNR decreased in high-resolution group. The visibility of the pGGNs was not improved obviously in high-resolution group. Conclusion The image quality of the pGGN(diameter≥5 mm)won’t be changed by using smaller FOV when matrix is kept ,but the visibility will be improved with the FOV changing smaller. When FOV is kept, the MSD increased and the CNR,SNR reduced in high-resolution group, but the visibility will not be improved obviously compare to the standard resolution group.
