Purpose To observe the curative effect of electroacupuncture in treating depression. Method Two hundred and ten subjects were randomly divided into electroacupuncture group and medication group. Results and conclusion The results were evaluated by an international depression scale in both groups. After one-course treatment, the average score markedly decreased in both groups, and a t-test showed that there was a significant difference in curative effect between before and after treatment in each group ( P < 0.001 ); but there was no such a difference between the two groups (P > 0.05 ).Electroacupuncture can be compared favorably with amitriptyline, an antidepressant. However, taking amitriptyline will produce some side effects. Therefore electroacupuncture is especially suitable for those who cannot take medicine.

Objective To investigate the relapse risk assessment for patients with acute promyelocytic leukemia(APL)through testing PML-RAR? fusion gene by real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction(RQ-PCR).Methods Relative copies of PML-RAR? fusion gene were measured in 25 patients with APL in phases of first diagnosis,complete remission(CR)and relapse.The minimal residual disease(MRD)situations were also monitored in 6 of the 25 patients.Results Different PML-RAR? fusion gene expression levels were observed in patient groups of different phases of the disease.(P

Objective To explore the effects of combining tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-αt) inhibitor with adenosine A2b receptor antagonist CVT-6883 on asthmatic lung irflammation in mice.Methods A total of 40 female Balb/c mice were evenly randomized into 5 groups,including normal control group,asthma group,CVT-6883 group,CVT-6883 + etanercept group,and etanercept group.The pathological changes in the lungs were determined and the number of white blood cells(WBC) and eosinophil(EOS) in the bronchoalveolar lavage fluid(BALF) was counted by cell count in each group.The levels of TNF-α in BALF were evaluated by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA).The expression of adenosine A2b receptor mRNA in the lung tissues were measured by reverse transcriptionpolymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR).Results 1.The lung tissue in asthma group,dyed by HE,was found to have a large number of airway inflammatory cell infiltration,thickening of the bronchial mucosa,the alveolar septa widened and fracture.In the CVT-6883,CVT-6883 + etanercept and etanercept group,the pathological changes were relieved.2.The WBC and EOS counts in BALF of the asthma group[(413.8 ±5.8)/L,(139.3 ± 1.4)/L] were higher than those of the normal control group [(24.0 ± 1.3)/L,(1.8 ± 0.1)/L,P ＜ 0.05].The WBC and EOS counts of the CVT-6883 group[(111.5 ±3.8)/L,(3.3 ±0.1)/L],the etanercept group + the CVT-6883 group[(173.8 ±3.9)/L,(10.4 ± 0.2)/L],and the etanercept group[(138.4 ± 3.0)/L,(4.1 ± 0.1)/L] were lower than those of the asthma group (P ＜0.05).3.Compared with the control group(100.4 ± 5.7) ng/L,the TNF-α concentration of the asthma group (145.2 ± 8.8) ng/L was significantly higher (P ＜ 0.05) ; the TNF-α concentration of CVT-6883 group (130.9 ± 5.9) ng/L,CVT-6883 + etanercept group(115.7 ± 8.2) ng/L and the etanercept group(122.0 ± 8.7) ng/L,were significantly decreased compared with asthma group (P ＜ 0.05).4.In asthma group (8.9 ± 1.1) compared with the control group(0.6 ± 0.2),the A2bAR (adenosine A2b receptor) mRNA expression was upregulated (P ＜ 0.05) ; CVT-6883 group(1.6 ±0,3),CVT-6883 + etanercept group(2.5 ±0.6) and the etanercept group(5.3 ±0.4),the A2bAR(adenosine A2b receptor) mRNA expression was significantly decreased compared with asthma group (all P ＜0,05).Conclusion Combination of TNF-α inhibitor with adenosine A2b receptor antagonist can reduce asthmatic lung inflammation.

Objective We aimed to explore the experience of posttraumatic growth in patients with cervical cancer who had a hysterectomy at the childbearing age.Methods The phenomenological methodology was used in the study.An in-depth interview was conducted among 12 patients chosen by purposive sampling method.Results Through careful analysis and collation,three themes were identified:smashing the original assumption,searching the meaning of existence and rebuilding the new cognitive schemata.The experience of patients' was conformed to the model which was put forward by Tedeschi,and the theme changes in personal relationships,personal strength,altruism born from sufferings and new philosophy of life were conformed to theoretical connotation of PTG.Conclusions Clinical medical staff should update psychological nursing concept timely and taking advantages of PTG to help patients pass through their difficult period.

The Adamkiewicz artery(AKA)is the major blood supply of the spinal cord in the thoracolumbar region.The anterior two thirds of the spinal cord receive blood supply from the AKA and 75% blood supply of the spinal cord comes from the AKA.The AKA diameter is reported to be only 0.8 ～ 1.3 mm in the thoracolumbar region.In order to prevent ischemic injury to the spinal cord,the anatomy of the blood supply of the spinal cord needs to be recognized completely before invasive treatment taken in the descending thoracic and proximal abdominal aorta.Although selective angiography has been recommended,but it is time-consuming and hazardous.Multi-detector row helical CT can provide a simple protocol of scanning and relatively brief postprocessing depicting the Adamkiewicz artery with a high successful rate.Optimizing the flow velocity of contrast medium and the using of scan-triggering CT threshold are the keys of success.

This paper reviewed the researches of TCM syndromes of rheumatoid arthritis in the past four years.The author believed that more and deeper epidemiological surveys are needed for studying rheumatoid arthritis and hence to improve its clinical effects.
