ObjectiveTo discuss the effect of surgical treatment of varicose vein on primary chronic venous insufficiency(PCVI) in the lower extremities.MethodsBetween August 2007 and August 2008,128PCVIpatients underwenthighligationof the greatsaphenousveinandendovenous electrocoagulation of the varix superficial vein. Spectrum Doppler ultrasound was used to measure the superficial femoral vein blood flow hemodynamic information beneath the first pair of valve including quiet breathing condition and the Valsalva action (reflux time、caliber、reflux velocity). Reflux index (RI) was used as guide line.ResultsClinical sympotoms improved in 54 out of 60 mild PCVI cases, in 29 of 45 moderate PCVI patients, while only in 6 out 23 cases in whom severe preoperative clinical symptom with PCVI was present.The effective rate respectively was 90％, 64％, and 30％.The mild reflux index significantly improved than that before operation ( t = 21. 484, P = 0. 000 ), the moderate reflux index improved than that before operation ( t = 2. 173, P = 0. 035 ), while the serious reflux index were not statistically improved than that before operation( t = 1. 888, P = 0. 078 ). In all cases reflux index improved after the surgery ( x2 = 8. 266,P = 0. 004).ConclusionsMinimally invasive surgical treatment of varicose veins can improve the reflux of the deep vein in PCVI cases with mild to moderate clinical symptom.

Abstract: Objective To investigate the prevalence and pathogenic characteristics of Yersinia enterocolitica infection in children with diarrhea under 5 years of age in western Yunnan, and to provide a basis for the prevention and treatment of infectious diarrhea in children. Methods Feces were collected from under five-year-old children with diarrhea in the First Affiliated Hospital of Dali University from 2020 to 2021. Clinical information of the cases was also collected. Yersinia enterocolitica was isolated from the samples after cold enrichment on selective culture plates, and the pathogenic characteristics of Yersinia enterocolitica were analyzed by biological type and serotype and virulence gene detection. Results A total of 397 feces were collected. Seven strains of Yersinia enterocolitica were isolated in three samples, and the prevalence of Yersinia enterocolitica infection was 0.76% (3/397). Among the three positive samples, two Yersinia frederiksenii or Yersinia intermedia were isolated in specimen No. 212 , and five Yersinia enterocolitica were detected in specimens No. 24 and 226. Two Yersinia enterocolitica isolated from one sample were biological type 1A, and the virulence gene test results were ail-/ystA-/ ystB+ /yadA-/virF-, which were non-pathogenic Yersinia enterocolitica. Three Yersinia enterocolitica isolated from the other sample were biological type 3, serotype O∶3 (rfbc+), and virulence gene detection results were ail+/ystA+/ystB-/yadA+ /virF+, which were pathogenic Yersinia enterocolitica. While pathogenic Yersinia enterocolitica was detected from feces of children with diarrhea at 11 months of age with a infection rate of 0.50%(2/397). Conclusion Sporadic infection of pathogenic Yersinia enterocolitica was found in under five-year-old children in western Yunnan Province. It is necessary to strengthen the monitoring and research of Yersinia enterocolitica.

ObjectiveTo observe the influence of rehabilitation training on heart rate of stroke patients in the early stage.MethodsThe heart rate (HR) of 30 patients within one week after the onset of stroke was evaluated by FUKUDA DS 880A teleelectrocardiograph and the rating of perceived exertion (RPE) was collected during practicing bridging, rolling and moving the arms.ResultsThe HR of 30 patients was only increased 7.57, 6.23 and 6.57 beats per minute during practicing bridging, rolling and moving the arms. RPE of all patients was less than 11.ConclusionAppropriate rehabilitation training is safety and unable to increase the loading of heart in the early stage after the onset of stroke.

OBJECTIVETo observe the effect of Bushen Huoxue Recipe (BSHXR, a Chinese medicine recipe for Shen reinforcing and blood circulation activating) on the levels of urinary albumin, interleukin-6 (IL-6), transforming growth factor-beta1 (TGF-beta1), and monocyte chemotactic protein-1 (MCP-1) in chronic nephritis patients of Shen-deficiency blood-stasis syndrome.

METHODSForty-five patients were blocking assigned randomly to two groups, fifteen patients in the control group and thirty in the treatment group. All orally took Monopril 10 mg, once daily. But BSHXR was given additionally to patients in the treatment group after decocting,one dose per day (taken in two times). The treatment course for both groups was eight weeks. Besides, a normal control group consisting of six healthy subjects from health examination of Shuguang Hospital was set up. The 24-h urinary albumin and contents of TGF-beta1, IL-6 and MCP-1 in urine of all subjects were observed.

RESULTSCompared with before treatment the 24-h urinary albumin was obviously reduced in the treatment group, showing significant difference (P<0.01). The urinary 24-h albumin decreased in the control group, with statistical significance (P<0.05). Statistical difference existed between the treatment group and the control group after treatment (P<0.01). Compared with before treatment, urinary levels of IL-6, TGF-beta1, and MCP-1 were all down-regulated in the treatment group and the control group after treatment (P<0.01), and the decreasing of IL-6 and TGF-beta1, levels was more significant in the treatment group statistically (P<0.05).

CONCLUSIONSBSHXR could attenuate the albuminuria in patients of chronic nephritis. Its mechanism might be possibly correlated with its down-regulation of IL-6, TGF-beta1, and MCP-1 levels.

Objective To identify lung adenocarcinoma-associated antigens by using Serologic Proteome Analysis(SERPA),an approach which combined conventional proteome analysis with serological screening.Methods SERPA of four human lung adenocarcinoma tissues were performed.The Western blot imaging films which reacted with autologous patient serum and with control normal serum were obtained and the differential reacting protein spots were recognized.Results Well-resolved,reproducible 2-DE Western blot imaging films of human lung adenocarcinoma reacted with autologous patient sera and the control sera were obtained.Totally(27?5) differentially expressed proteins which only were reactive with lung adenocarcinoma patient sera were found.Some differentially expressed proteins were identified by peptide mass fingerprint(PMF).Some of the proteins were the products of oncogenes,and others were involved in the regulation of cell cycle and signal transduction.Conclusion These results will provide scientific foundation on screening the molecular biomarker for the diagnosis,treatment,and prognosis of the lung adenocarcinoma.

Objective To investigate the effects of connective tissue growth factor (CTGF) siRNA delivered by pRetro-Super (PRS) retrovirus vector on extracellular matrix and VEGF expression in human peritoneal mesothelial cells (HPMC). Methods Four pairs of oligonucleotides including 64 bp DNA were designed and synthesized in vitro according to siRNA target sequence and PRS retrovirus desire.PRS-CTGF-siRNA1-4 recombinant retrovirus vectors were constructed.The recombinant retrovirus vectors containing CTGF-siRNA were transferred into PT67 packaging cell lines with lipefectamine 2000,then infected HPMC.mRNA expression was determined by semi-quantitative RT-PCR and protein expression was determined by Western blot.Results Both mRNA and protein expressions of CTGF,FN,Col I,laminin (LN) and VEGF were significantly increased in HPMC with 5 μg/L TGF-β1 stimulation (P＜0.01,respectively).CTGF,FN,Col I,LN mRNA and protein and VEGF mRNA expression stimulated by TGF-β1 were significantly decreased in HPMC infected with PRS-CTGF-siRNA1～4 retrovirus vectors (P＜0.01,respectively).The inhibitory rates on CTGF were 69.3%,22.2%,27.4% and 38.8%,respectively (P＜0.01).At the same time,there was also a significant reduction of VEGF protein expression in HPMC infected with PRS-CTGF-siRNA1 vector (P＜0.01).There was no significant difference in HPMC infected with PRS void vector. Conclusion CTGF siRNA delivered by PRS retrovirus vector can effectively inhibit the enhancement of extracellular matrix and VEGF expression stimulated by TGF-β1 in HPMC.
