Objective To investigate the curative effect of combined traditional Chinese and Western medicine treatment of de-pression after stroke.Methods Patients with depression in 134 cases of cerebral stroke from July 2011 to August 2012 in Tongli-ang People′s hospital were treated in department of internal medicine,and according to the different treatment methods were divided into experimental group and control group,each group of 67 cases.The control group was given paroxetine hydrochloride orally,the experimental group was based on the use of miananning granule in the treatment,obered curative effect of two groups.Results In the experimental group,the control group total effective rate were 95.5%,77.6%.The experimental group total effective rate was significantly better than the control group and has a statistically significance(P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of traditional Chinese and Western medicine treatment of depression after stroke is exact,it is worthy of popularization and application.

Objective:To observe the signal changes of blood-oxygen-level-dependent functional MRI(BOLD-fMRI)in brain tissue after inhalation of oxygen.Methods:Fifteen volunteers,9 males and 6 females,were included in the present experiment.The fMRI was conducted using 1.5T Singna Double-gradient Super Conducting Magnetic Resonance Imaging system (GE Inc).Bold-fMRI scanning was conducted using GRE-EPI sequence and data analysis was done using SPM2 software. Meanwhile,the BOLD-fMRI T_2 signal changes after 15 s and 6 min inhalation of pure oxygen were observed and compared with those after inhaling normal air.Results:No obvious activation of BOLD-fMRI was observed in the whole brain after inhaling normal air.Fifteen seconds after inhaling pure oxygen,the signal changes in the whole brain mainly manifested as the signal decrease in the gray matter,with average signal change being(-0.041?0.31)% in the gray matter and about(0.056?0.26)% in the white matter;the changes were significantly different from those of the normal air group(P

Objective To investigate the genetic mutation of the norA gene and its promotor from the wild-type drug-resistance Staphylococeus aureus(S.aureus)strains. Methods A total of 10 antibiotic-resistant S.aureus strains were isolated and screened from the burn wound for the sequencing and analysis of the nora gene and its promoter. Results There isolated 87 S.aureus strains from the burn wound flora,which were completely sensitive to vacomycin,highly sensitive to Quinupristin and Nitrofurantoin,but highly resistant to the other antibiotics,even up to91.7% of MRSA.There found the same point mutation(G→A) located at 1 349 sites of the norA gene coding region in all the S.aureus strains,saying that the amino acid was changed from Gly(glycin)to Asp(agpartic acid) in 291 sites.The resetpine reverse test showed that the MICs value of three antibiotics was lowered at various degrees in all 10strains.Conclusion NorA gene mutation is one of the mechanisms for antibiotic-resistance of S.aureus.

Objective To evaluate the efficacy of nimodipine combined with cerebrospinal fluid exchange in treating subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) .Methods The electronic databases and manual retrieval ,and the meta-analytic method were used to conduct the systematic evaluation on the efficacies of nimodipine combined with cerebrospinal fluid exchange versus routine internal medicine therapy for treating SAH in all the included randomized controlled trials (RCTs) .Results 16 RCTs(n=1 076) were included .The methodological quality of all included trials was poor .Compared with the routine internal medicine therapy ,nimodipine combined with cerebrospinal fluid exchange could reduce the occurrence of cerebral vasospasm (RR 0 .33 ,95% CI 0 .25-0 .43 ,P<0 .01) ,hy-drocephalus(RR 0 .28 ,95% CI 0 .18-0 .44 ,P<0 .01) and mortality after SAH (RR 0 .41 ,95% CI 0 .24-0 .70 ,P=0 .001) ,while no difference was found in the occurrence of re-bleeding between two groups(RR 0 .89 ,95% CI 0 .53-1 .50 ,P=0 .67) .Conclusion The current clinical research evidences demonstrate that the combination of nimodipine and cerebrospinal fluid exchange can re-duce the occurrence of cerebral vasospasm and hydrocephalus ,decrease the mortality after SAH But further well-designed multi-center RCTs with larger sample should be carried out to confirm our findings due to the influence of the poor quality of included tri-als .

Background Vitronectin is a glycoprotein that has a variety of functions.Its expression was markedly higher in the retina of oxygen induced mice,which was confirmed in our animal model,and also increased in human umbilical vein endothelial cells (人 UVECs) that were cultured in high glucose.However,there was no evidence that showed vitronectin was involved in retinal neovascularization.Objective This study was to observe the influence of vitronectin on cytoskeleton remodeling,cell migration and blood vessel formation in 人 UVECs conditioned by high glucose.Methods 人 UVECs were cultured in high glucose and the expression of vitronectin was knocked down using RNA interference technology.The experiments were divided into the high glucose group (人 UVECs were conditioned with DMEM medium that contained 50 mmol/L glucose),negative interference group (人 UVECs were transfected with control siRNA in advance,and then were conditioned with DMEM medium that contained 50 mmol/L glucose) and positive interference group (HUVEC were transfected with vitronectin siRNA in advance,and then were conditioned with DMEM medium that contained 50 mmol/L glucose).The protein expression of vitronectin was measured by Western blot,and the microfilament cytoskeleton of 人 UVECs was examined by immunofluorescence cytochemical staining followed by fluorescence microscopy.Cell migration ability in a scratch wound assay and blood vessel formation ability in a matrigel assay of 人 UVECs were evaluated.The general differences were analysed by One-Way ANOVA ;further contrasts of the two groups were analysed by the LSD-t test.Results The differences in vitronectin expression of the three groups were not obvious at 0 hour (F=1.064,P＞0.05).After 24 hours,vitronectin expression was highest in the high glucose group,lower in the negative interference group,and the lowest in the positive interference group,and the differences were significant (F =15.519,P＜0.05).After 48 hours,vitronectin expression of the three groups displayed the same pattern,and the differences were also significant (F=37.521,P＜0.05).Immunofluorescence showed that the cytoskeleton structure was most obvious in the high glucose group,moderate in the negative interference group,and was the least obvious in the positive interference group,after both 24 hours and 48 hours.In the scratch wound assay,the cell migration ability of the high glucose group was the highest,lower in the negative interference group,and the lowest in the positive interference group after 24 hours,and the differences were significant (F=90.685,P＜0.05).After 48 hours,the cell migration abilities of the three groups displayed the same pattern,and the differences were also significant (F=67.880,P＜0.05).In the matrigel assay,after 6 hours,the number of blood vessels formed in the high glucose group was more than that in the negative interference group,and the least amount was found in the positive interference group.The differences among of them were significant (F =86.653,P＜0.05).The number of blood vessel formed in the positive interference group was also the lowest after 12 hours,and the differences were also significant (F=18.992,P＜0.05).Conclusions Vitronectin can bring about cytoskeleton remodeling,increase in cell migration,and enhancement of blood vessel formation in 人 UVECs conditioned in high glucose.It may be one of the important influence factors of diabetic retinopathy.

Objective To observe the preventive and therapeutic effect of Yangyin Shengxue Mixture (Herbal decoction for nourishing yin and blood) on radiation-induced oral mucosal injury.Methods Sixty nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients were randomized into two groups: treatment group (30 cases) receiving Yangyin Shengxue Mixture three days before till one week after radiotherapy, and control group (30 patients) using conventional Tinidazole Gargle for prevention of oral-mucositis. Before and after treatment, the body weight, hemoglobin and state of infection of patients were examined. The time of occurrence of symptoms, degree of acute radiation mucositis and degree of pain were observed to evaluate the damage of oral mucosa according to RTOG standard for radiation injury of oral mucosa and Numeric Rating Scales (NRS). Abstract?AIM: To evaluate the clinical application of IOL Master by comparing with traditional ultrasound biometry on the accuracy and characteristics of intraocular lens calculation.?METHODS:Data was analyzed from 164 patients ( 206 eyes ) with age - related cataracts who underwent phacoemulsification and intraocular lens ( IOL ) implantation in our hospital from June 2014 to June 2015. Before surgery, axial length and corneal curvature were measured with IOL Master and combined application of ultrasonic or manual keratometry, respectively. Phacoemulsification and foldable lens implantation were done in the patients. IOL power calculation was carried out using the SRK-Ⅱformula with the basis of IOL Master data. The visual acuity and refractive outcome were followed-up for 3mo postoperatively.?RESULTS:There was a significant difference between the two methods on axial length measurement which was 23. 86 ± 1. 05mm by IOL Master and 23. 50 ± 0. 83mm by ultrasound ( P = 0. 025 ). There was also a significant difference between the two methods on corneal curvature measurement which was 44. 18 ± 1. 35D by IOL Master and 43. 70 ± 1. 41D by keratometry ( P = 0. 01 ). The mean absolute error(MAE), at 3mo after operation, was 0. 41± 0. 30D and 0. 93 ± 1. 10D by the IOL Master and ultrasound groups, respectively, there was a significant difference between the two methods(P=0. 027).?CONCLUSION:The IOL Master is a non-contact, safe,easy-to-do and patient-friendly methods for axial length and corneal curvature measurement with high accuracy, thus it can calculate the IOL power more accurate and improve the predictive value for postoperative refraction.

AlM: To evaluate the clinical effect of 200g/L protein-free calf blood extract eye gel for corneal epithelial defect.METHODS: One hundred and sixty - eight cases of corneal epithelial defect ( 58 cases with herpes simplex keratitis; 24 cases with chemical injury; 85 cases with pterygium operation injury ) were randomly divided into two groups: 84 eyes were treated with protein-free calf blood extract eye gel; 84 cases were treated with basic fibroblast growth factor eye gel ( bFGF ) . The bFGF and protein-free calf blood extract eye gels were used 4 times a day. The treatment course was 7d. Epithelial defect restoration, local symptom and sign were observed.
RESULTS: The difference between pre-treatment and post-treatment was significant ( P<0. 01 ) in the two groups. The effect of protein-free calf blood extract eye gel (83. 3%) group was prior to that of bFGF (69%) for corneal epithelial defect. The effective rate of protein-free calf blood extract eye gel in the herpes simplex keratitis, chemical injury and pterygium operation injury was 72. 4%,69. 2% and 95. 2%. Localized stimulus and adverse reaction of all over the body were not been observed.
CONCLUSlON: Protein-free calf blood extract eye gels is valuable and safe for corneal epithelial defect.
