1.Effect of capsaicin on micturition in chronic spinal male rats
Journal of Medical Postgraduates 2003;0(03):-
Objective: To compare normal rat and rat with chronic spinal cord injury (SCI) with CMG and EUS after intravesical capsaicin or given s.c to determine the role of capsaicin-sensitive bladder afferents in micturition. Methods: Male Sprague-Dawley rats, normal or with spinal cord transection at the level of T 9-10 . CMG and EUS-EMG tests were carried out before and after administration of capsaicin intravesically or s.c 8 weeks after SCI. Results: Capsaicin given subcutaneously induced the nonvoiding bladder contractions in normal rats. After administration rats had large voiding volume(VV) and residual volme (RV) ,voiding efficiency(VE) was decreased ,but micturing press(MP) was not affected. Intravesical capsaicin also decreased VE with the MP non affected. In SCI rats the nonvoiding bladder contractions induced by infusion of saline before voiding can be eliminated by capsaicin (125 mg/kg s.c) .But intravesical capsaicin can inhibit the reflex bladder contraction in SCI rats. Conclusion: The data indicated the capsaicin sensitive bladder afferents take part in the initiation of reflex micturition in both normal and SCI rats .In normal rats activity in the capsaicin sensitive fibers initiated by bladder filling keep the compliance of bladder .In SCI rats these afferents do contribute to hyperactivity of the bladder during the filling phase of the CMG.
2.Necessity and Suggestions to Including Infantile Tuina Acupoints in TCM International Standard Terminologies
Chinese Journal of Information on Traditional Chinese Medicine 2017;24(4):13-15
In recent years, many versions of international standard terminologies on TCM have been established and enacted by different authoritative organizations worldwide. However, infantile tuina acupoints have never been included in them. The article illustrated the necessity of including infantile tuina acupoints in the international standard terminologies on TCM from the aspects of history, present state and specificity of these points. It also pointed out some problems of infantile tuina acupoints, such as different records of acupoints numbers, applications in the clinic and strategies applied in their English translation, and suggestions were provided accordingly, hoping that the infantile tuina acupoints can be included in the further revised versions of international standard terminologies on TCM.
3.Application of noninvasive positive pressure ventilation for sleep disordered breathing in China.
Journal of Clinical Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery 2015;29(6):490-491
After more than 30 years of development, noninvasive positive pressure ventilation (NPPV) has become one of the main treatments of sleep-disordered breathing (SDB) in the world. It is the wide application of this technology that makes breakthrough in SDB treatment, and has given rise to a new interdisciplinary area sleep medicine. In China, sleep medicine started in late of 1980's, in recent years, with the development of economy and the improvement of recognization, the application of NPPV in Chinese market has become one of the fastest growing in the world. NPPV technology also extends gradually to the treatments of patients with respiratory failure due to different causes, such as severe acute respiratory syndrome and COPD.

Chinese Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism 1986;0(04):-
Objective To observe the hypoglycemic effect of total flavonoids from mulberry tree leaf (MTF) on diabetic rats and the effect of MTF on disaccharidases from rats. Methods Diabetic rats were treated with MTF, and then the change of blood glucose of these rats was observed; the brush border membrane from the small intestine of rats was stripped and homogenized, which was incubated with MTF and disaccharides, and the inhibitory rate of MTF on disaccharidases was determined. Blood samples from portal and peripheral veins were separately collected at 30, 60, 120 min after maltose solution was infused into small intestine in vivo, then the difference of blood glucose concentration between portal and peripheral veins was determined. Results MTF exerted a hypoglycemic effect on diabetic rats by inhibition of disaccharidases, the inhibitory rate of sucrase, maltase and lactase was 68.0%, 47.1%, 27.8% respectively, the difference of blood glucose concentration between portal and peripheral veins was also reduced. Conclusion The hypoglycemic effect of MTF on diabetic rats is probably via the inhibitory effect on small intestine disaccharidases in rats.

According to the ultrasonic manifestations of the gall bladder before laparoscopic cholecystectomy(LC),including size, morphology, wall thickness, presence or absence of gallstone, congenital anomaly of biliary duct, surrounding adhesion and state of common bile duct, tbe patients Werc dividcd into 4 groups:A.Most suitable for LC,B.Sitable for LC,C.Relatively suitable for LC. D.Not suitable for LC.This provided clinicians the basis for patient selection.Comparing with the sur.gical findings, the coincidence rate of B-mode ultrasonography was 97.8%.Preoperative B-mode ul-trasonography of gall bladder has significant clinical value to relieve the patients from pain, decrease the operative risk and conversion rate of LC.

Journal of Central South University(Medical Sciences) 2001;26(2):139-140
Peripheral blood mononuclear cells from 32 cases of osteosarcoma and 20 normal controls were separated and induced by lipopolysaccharide, followed by 48 hour incubation in vitro, then the supernatant were collected. The levels of IL-6 were measured by enzyme linked immunosorbent assays, the concentrations of NO were measured by Griess methods. The results were as follows: The concentrations of IL-6 and NO were significantly higher than those in normal contrls (P<0.01). There were positive correlation between the levels of IL-6 and NO in patients with osteosarcoma (r=0.652, P<0.01). The results suggest that the immune function of peripheral mononuclear cell in patients with osteosarcoma was disordered. It may activate peripheral mononuclear cells to produce high levels of IL-6 and NO, which may take part in the pathogenesis of osteosarcoma.
10.Clinical value of N-terminal B-type natriuretic peptide precursor on auricular thrombosis in patients of coronary heart disease combined with atrial fibrillation
Chinese Journal of Postgraduates of Medicine 2014;37(13):1-4
Objective To analyze the predictive value of N-terminal B-type natriuretic peptide precursor(NT-proBNP) on auricular thrombosis in patients of coronary heart disease (CHD) combined with atrial fibrillation (AF).Methods The clinical data of 124 patients of CHD combined with AF were analyzed retrospectively. All patients were divided into research group (60 cases, compliance with auricular thrombosis) and control group (64 cases,non-compliance with auricular thrombosis),according to the occurrence of auricular thrombosis. The values of NT-proBNP,fasting plasma glucose (FPG),postprandial plasma glucose(2 h PG),total cholesterol (TC),high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C),oxidized low density lipoprotein (ox-LDL),high sensitivity C reactive protein (hs-CRP) and left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF),left ventricular end diastolic diameter (LVEDd) and left atrial diameter (LAD) were detected and compared between two groups. The relative factors to the occurrence of auricular thrombosis were confirmed by multivariate Logistic analysis. The best cutoff point of NT-proBNP was confirmed by the areas under the receiver operating characteristic curve (ROC).Results The values of NT-proBNP,ox-LDL,hs-CRP,LVEDd and LAD in research group were higher than those in control group [(4 312.6 ± 209.1) pmol/L vs.(3 421.6 ± 156.8) pmol/L,(4.0 ± 0.9) mmol/L vs.(3.4 ± 0.8) mmol/L,(7.4 ± 1.3)mg/L vs.(5.8 ± 1.0) mg/L,(74.3 ± 6.8) mm vs.(58.1 ± 5.5) mm,(39.6 ± 4.3) mm vs.(32.5 ± 3.8) mm],LVEF and HDL-C were lower than those in control group [(48.2 ± 3.1)% vs.(57.3 ± 3.8)%,(0.72 ± 0.16)mmol/L vs.(1.08 ±0.27) mmol/L],and there were significant differences (P <0.05).There were no significant differences in the values of FPG,2 h PG and TC between two groups (P > 0.05).Multivariate Logistic analysis showed that NT-proBNP and LAD were independent factors to the occurrence of auricular thrombosis (P =0.009,0.028).There was significant difference in the occurrence of auricular thrombosis between patients with NT-proBNP > 4 250 pmol/L and patients with NT-proBNP≤4 250 pmol/L (P =0.028).Conclusion NT-proBNP is an independent predictor for the occurrence of auricular thrombosis to patients of CHD combined with AF.
