Smoking and exposure to second hand smoke are the deadly killer of human health. Tobacco kills more than one million people each year in China. According to 2015 Chinese adult tobacco survey, the number of smokers in China increased by 15 million during five years, from 301 million in 2010 to 316 million in 2015. Smoking addiction is a chronic recurrent disease, and its pathogenesis is associated with the mesolimbic dopamine system. In recent years, domestic and overseas scholars studied the brain function of smoking addicts through resting state functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), and found that the brain functional activity of smoking addicts has changed. fMRI can help us understand the mechanism of tobacco dependence, and provide the evidence of diagnosis, treatment and health management of tobacco dependence. In this paper, the present study situation and the application in the field of the treatment and management of smoking cessation of fMRI in smoking addicts are reviewed.

Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2004;0(12):-
Objective To explore the risk factors in children with epilepsy and their effects on attack rate of epilepsy. Methods One hundred and sixty epilepsy patients(patient group,88 boys and 72 girls)and 150 healthy children(control group,72 boys and 78 girls)were selected. All children conformed epilepsy at the west China second hospital were consecutively included in the study for 6 months period. The range of age was from 1 month to 16 years[(7.0?4.7)years old] of patient group children. All children with epilepsy had no-causation seizure for more than twice time and were diagnosed by electroencephalogram.Neurologically normal children in same period, matched for age and sex, visiting the health care clinic were selected as controls. The range of age was from 2 month to 16 years [(6.3?4.5)years old] of control group children. The risk factors examined were febrile convulsions, head trauma, central nervous system infections, abnormal perinatal history, family history of epilepsy and parental consanguinity. The data of patients and controls were obtained from a questionnaire through personal interviews.Details on the patient, family history, and parental age at the time of childbirth were included.Medical records were then reviewed.According to the data type, the statistics were performed with ?2 test and the significance level was the P

Objective To provide clinical evidence for the optimal acupuncture time in acupuncture treatment of hearing disorder in kids with cerebral palsy.Method Ninety eligible patients were randomized into 3 groups, 30 in each group. Group A was treated for 30 min, group B for 45 min, and group C for 1 h. The hearing improvement was evaluated by using brain-stem auditory evoked potential (BAEP).Result The detection of BAEP showed that the latent and peak periods of wave I,Ⅲ, and V were significantly shortened in the 3 groups after intervention (P<0.01), suggesting that acupuncture can produce a marked efficacy in treating hearing disorder in cerebral palsy. The inter-group comparisons showed that the efficacy of group A was significantly higher than that of group B and C (P<0.05); there was no significant difference in comparing the efficacy between group B and C (P>0.05). It’s indicated that the optimal acupuncture time span should be 30 min. Conclusion With the same acupuncture skills, acupuncture for 30 min can produce a comparatively higher efficacy in treating infantile hearing disorder.

Journal of Preventive Medicine 2021;33(4):354-357
Objective:
To understand the prevalence of hepatitis C virus ( HCV ) infection in sentinel surveillance in Liaoning Province from 2015 to 2019, in order to provide evidence for the precise prevention and control of HCV.
Methods:
The HCV sentinel surveillance data of 5 kinds of populations, including dialyzed patients, patients receiving invasive diagnosis and treatment, family planning outpatients, people receiving physical examination and unpaid blood donators in Liaoning Province from 2015 to 2019 were retrieved, and the HCV positive rates of different years, gender and age groups in the five populations were analyzed.
Results:
There were 26 000 persons surveyed and 61 HCV positive cases were detected from 2015 to 2019. The HCV positive rate was 0.23%. The HCV positive rates of dialyzed patients, patients receiving invasive diagnosis and treatment, family planning outpatients, people receiving physical examination and unpaid blood donators were 0.40%, 0.70%, 0.25%, 0.24% and 0.14%, respectively. The HCV positive rates of dialyzed patients, patients receiving invasive diagnosis and treatment, and unpaid blood donators had significant downward trends ( P<0.05 ). The HCV positive rates of males and females were 0.22% and 0.26%, without any significant difference ( P>0.05 ). The HCV positive rate of people aged above 70 years old was 1.15%, the highest among different age groups.
Conclusions
The prevalence of HCV infection among the patients with hemodialysis and with invasive diagnosis and treatment is relatively high. The level of HCV antibody of older age groups should be monitored regularly.
