Objective: To investigate the changing trends in injury mortality among permanent residents in Jingzhou City, Hubei Province from 2017 to 2022, so as to provide the basis for formulating injury intervention measures. Methods: Injury death data of permanent residents in Jingzhou City from 2017 to 2022 were collected through the Population Death Information Registration and Management System of Chinese Disease Prevention and Control Information System. The crude mortality of injury was analyzed and the standardized mortality was calculated using the data from the Sixth National Population Census in 2010. The changing trend in injury mortality was analyzed using the annual percent change (APC). Results: There were 29 220 injury deaths among permanent residents in Jingzhou City from 2017 to 2022, with a crude mortality rate of 88.61/105. The crude mortality rate of injury was higher in males than in females (101.04/105 vs. 75.97/105, P<0.05). The crude mortality rates of injury in males, females and the whole population all showed upward trends (APC=6.572%, 9.232% and 7.731%, all P<0.05). Males, females and the whole population at the ages of 65 years and above appeared upward trends in crude mortality rates of injury (APC=4.603%, 5.064% and 4.851%, all P<0.05). No significant trends were observed in the crude mortality rate in the residents aged <15 years and 15 to <65 years (both P>0.05). The top five causes of injury death were suicide (25.81/105), falls (24.38/105), motor vehicle traffic accident (17.23/105), drowning (8.61/105), and other unintentional accidents and harmful effects (5.63/105). From 2021 to 2022, falls rose to the first cause of injury mortality. Conclusions The crude mortality of injury among permanent residents in Jingzhou City from 2017 to 2022 showed an upward trend. Males and residents aged 65 years and above should be prioritized for intervention measures. Notably, falls have become the top cause of injury from 2021 to 2022.

Objective To observe the influence of local-anaesthetic combined with dezocine on brachial plexus block and postoperative analgesia.Methods 60 patients scheduled for unilateral upper limb operation were randomly divided into two groups of C group and D group with 30 cases in each group.The brachial plexus block was performed under ultrasound guiding.Two groups received a bolus injection of local anesthetic 30ml,but the local bolus injection of D group consisted of Dezocine 10mg.The tine of sensory blocked producing effect,anesthesia effect,sensory blocked duration were observed.Two hours after sensory nerve recovered,the scores of VAS pain and Ramsay Sedation were recorded.Adverse reactions of perioperation were also observed(nausea,vomiting,dizzy,respiratory,urine retention,pruritus).Results The sensory blocked duration in D group was(7.1±1.1)h,which was significantly longer than that of C group[(4.5±0.8)h](t=10.47,P＜0.01);Two hours after sensory nerve recovered,the score of VAS pain in D group was(1.7±0.7)points,and significantly lower than that of C group[(3.9±1.0)points](t=9.87,P＜0.01).Both two groups had no adverse reactions.Conclusion Addition dezocine 10mg to local anesthetic solutions for interscalene brachial plexus block,it could prolong the sensory block duration,provide satisfactory postoperative analgesia,have no adverse reactions.

The contents of coumarins in the sulfur fumigated Angelicae Dahuricae Radix (Baizhi, ADR) were reduced significantly. To achieve the quality control of ADR, the qualitative identification of sulfur fumigated ADR and quantitative model of imperatorin content should be established. The near-infrared (NIR) spectrograms of non-sulfur and sulfur fumigated ADR were collected by NIR diffuse reflectance spectroscopy technology and pretreated by the method of first derivative derivation and vector normalization. The Ward's Algorithm method was used for the cluster analysis. The non-sulfur and sulfur fumigated ADR can be quickly identified in the range of 8,806. 0-3 811.0 cm(-1) based on the cluster analysis. The NIR quantitative model of imperatorin was established by the contents of imperatorin determined by HPLC in combination with partial least squares regression analysis. According to the calibration model established in this study, correlation coefficients (R2), the root-mean-square error of cross-validation (RMSECV), and the root-mean-square error of prediction (RMSEP) for imperatorin were 0.982 8, 0.006 8, 0.011 8, respectively. The quantitative model of imperatorin can be applied to determine the content of imperatorin in ADR accurately.

Objective Through detecting CD4+CD25+ T regulatory cells(Treg)in the peripheral blood in children suffering autoimmune diseases and normal controls to learn about the changes of Tregs during the diseases and to acquire some references for clinical diagnosis and treatment.Methods The data were reviewed for CD4+CD25+ Treg cells of the 93 children diagnosed as pediatric autoimmune disease in Children′s Hospital Affiliated to Capital Institute of Pediatrics from Nov.2007 to Jun.2008.Thirty-five normal children in the contempora-neous physical examination were selected as the control group.The percentage of CD4+CD25+ Treg cells and CD4+ T cells to the total T cells were determined by flow cytometric method.Data of the JRA group(22 cases),SLE group(12 cases) and HSP group(12 cases),which were the first three according to the number of cases,were respectively compared with the controls.Independent-samples t test was performed for a statistic analysis with SPSS 11.5 software.Results 1.The percentages of CD4+CD25+ Treg cells to the total T cells and CD4+ T cells in the autoimmune diseases children[(6.14?3.21)% and(21.85?11.68)%,respectively] were both higher than those in the control group[(3.68?1.02)% and(12.83?3.61)%,respectively Pa

OBJECTIVETo explore the perioperative cardiovascular dysfunction and its relevance to age in patients with silent coronary heart disease (or silent myocardial ischemia), and explore the clinical treatment and recovery of perioperative arrhythmias.

METHODSOne hundred and eighty cases were selected from selective surgery patients with silent myocardial ischemia (SMI). Among the cases, 130 patients older than 51 years old were divided into 51 - 60 year-old group, 61- 70 year-old group and 71 - 80 year-old group. Control group was set up by other 50 patients younger than 51 years old. Electrocardiogram data of 24 h before the operation, 24 h after the operation and 48 h after the operation were continuously monitored by dynamic electrocardiogram (DCG). The electrocardiogram data of ST shifting, arrhythmia incidences of different type and at different time were analyzed by professional doctors. At the same time, the treatment and recovery of perioperative arrhythmia were recorded.

RESULTSAs the age increase, the magnitude and duration of ST shifting appeared upward trend compared to the control group (P < 0.05, P < 0.01). The incidence of ST elevation in 71 - 80 year-old group was higher than the control group (P < 0.05). The ST depression duration in 61 - 70 and 71 - 80 year-old group and ST elevation magnitude in 71 - 80 year-old group were higher than 51 - 60 year-old group (P < 0.05). Compared to the control group, the incidence of accelerated idioventricular rhythm (AIR) in 61 - 70 year-old group and the incidence of sinus bradycardia (SB), ventricular premature beat (VPB), ventricular tachycardia (VT) in 71 - 80 year-old group were higher (P < 0.05, P < 0.01). Compared to the 51 - 60 year-old group, the incidence of atrial fibrillation (AF) in 61 - 70 year-old group and the incidence of VP, VT, AF in 71 - 80 year-old group were higher (P < 0.05, P < 0.01). The arrhythmia incidences in 24 h after operation were higher than 48 h after operation and 24 h before operation (P < 0.01). As the age increase, the recovery incidence by removing inducement was decreased, but the recovery incidences by drug and electric-shock treatment were increased (P < 0.05).

CONCLUSIONOld SMI patients have high levels of perioperative myocardial ischemia and arrhythmia, and 24 h after operation is the period of high incidence.

Eukaryotic expression vectors carrying the small hairpin RNA (shRNA) for TRPC6 mRNA were constructed, and the effects of knocking-down TRPC6 on puromycin aminonucleoside (PAN)-induced apoptosis of mouse podocytes were observed. Two eukaryotic expression vectors containing small hairpin structure targeting TRPC6 named pGCsi-TRPC6A and pGCsi-TRPC6B were designed and synthesized. The plasmids were transfected into conditionally immortalized murine podocyte cell line by liposome. The changes in the TRPC6 mRNA and protein expression were observed by RT-PCR and Western blot after 48 h. Cultured podocytes were divided into four groups: control group, PAN treatment group, PAN treatment+shRNA transfection group, and PAN treatment+ negative control group. The expression of Bax and Bcl-2 mRNA and proteins was detected by RT-PCR and Western-blot respectively. The apoptotic rate of podocytes was measured by flow cytometry. The results showed that the expression of TRPC6 mRNA and protein was decreased in the podocytes when transfected with pGCsi-TRPC6A, and pGCsi-TRPC6B. The expression of Bax was increased, and that of Bcl-2 was decreased at protein and mRNA levels in the podocytes after treated with PAN for 48 h. These changes was attenuated by knocking-down TRPC6. Knocking-down TRPC6 could effectively decrease the PAN-induced apoptosis of podocytes. It was concluded that TRPC6 may play an important role in the PAN-induced apoptosis of podocytes. Knocking-down TRPC6 gene could effectively prevent the podocytes from apoptosis induced by PAN.
