1.The comparative study of nuclein hypoxia imaging,tumoraffin imaging and CT in the diagnosis of lung neoplasms

Objective To investigate the value of ~(99m)Tc-HL91 hypoxia imaging,~(99m)Tc-MIBI tumoraffin and computered tomography(CT) in the diagnosis of lung cancer.Methods The ~(99m)Tc-HL91 hypoxia imaging,~(99m)Tc-MIBI tumoraffin and CT were performed in 50 patients with lung neoplasm confirmed by pathology.Results There was not significant difference in the sensitivity of three imaging examination methods.The specificity of ~(99m)Tc-HL91 hypoxia imaging was obviously higher than that of ~(99m)Tc-MIBI tumoraffin and CT.The accuracy of ~(99m)Tc-HL91 hypoxia imaging was higher than that of ~(99m)Tc-MIBI tumoraffin,and had not significance difference with that of CT.The sensitivity,specificity and accuracy of the combination of three imaging examination methods in the diagnosis of lung cancer were 96.9%,100% and 98%,respectively.Conclusion The ~(99m)Tc-HL91 hypoxia imaging is valuable in diagnosing lung cancer and the diagnostic accuracy may be further improved with the combination of ~(99m)Tc-MIBI tumoraffin and CT.

3.Clinical Application of ~(99m) Tc-HL91 Hypoxia Imaging in Lung Cancer

Objective To investigate the clinical value of 99m Tc-HL91 hypoxia imaging in the diagnosis and treatment of lung cancer. Methods 99m Tc-HL91 hypoxia imaging was performed in 72 patients with primary lung cancer. The qualitative analysis and semi-quantitative analysis of the early and delayed images were also performed. 65 patients underwent chemotherapy were divided into 2 groups by the T/N value of delayed images, and the curative efficacy in both the two groups was compared. Results The sensitivity of 99m Tc-HL91 hypoxia imaging for diagnosing lung cancer was 86 1% in early imaging and 98 6% in delayed imaging. The results of semi-quantitative analysis in different pathological types of lung cancer hadn’t obvious difference. The diagnostic evidence on clinical diseases and theoretic basis of moving cupping therapy were ex- plored in the paper. By the observation of the local reaction, such as skin appearance and color, the affected location, duration of sickness and nature of disease were judged. Different moving cupping methods were selected for different disorders. It was discovered that the property of syndromes should be recognized by the palpation on skin and muscle in the moving cupping therapy so that the pathogenesis and treating principle could be carefully determined. The moving cupping therapy is the important component of body surface therapy. Skin reaction observation and syndrome differentiation is the essential guidance of the moving cupping therapy.

5.Clinical significance and characteristics of recurrent laryngeal nerve lymph node metastasis of thoracic esophageal cancer

ObjectiveTo investigate the clinical significance and characteristics of recurrent laryngeal nerve lymph node metastasis of thoracic esophageal cancer.MethodsOne hundred and twenty-four patients who had undergone thoracic esophageal resection with recurrent laryngeal nerve lymph node dissection in our hospital from March 2007 to February 2010.All clinical data were retrospectively analysed.ResultsRecurrent laryngeal nerve lymph node metastasis was found in 34 of 124 cases,with the metastatic rate of 27.41% (34/124).The left recurrent laryngeal nerve lymph node metastasis was 16.13% and the right was 8.06% .The recurrent laryngeal nerve lymph node metastasis was found in 9 patients with the upper segment esophageal cancer,20 with middle third esophageal cancer and 5 with lower segment esophageal cancer,6 patients with T2 disease had recurrent laryngeal nerve lymph node metastasis,while 27 with,T3 disease.Also there were 4,13,17 cases with metastasis in well-differentiated,moderately differentiated,poorly differentiated respectively.Poorly differentiated esophageal carcinoma was more susceptible to recurrent laryngeal lymph node metastasis than well-differentiated and moderately differentiated esophageal carcinoma.Recurrent laryngeal nerve injury was found in 11 cases,7 cases of them recovered.ConclusionNearly 1/3 of patients with esophageal carcinoma have recurrent laryngeal nerve lymph node metastasis,especially for tumor located in the upper third esophagus,poor differentiation or deep invasion (T2 or more) of esophageal carcinoma were more susceptible to recurrent laryngeal nerve lymph node metastasis.

Reperfusion is the most effective treatment for acute myocardial infarction, markedly reducing mortality and morbidity. Reperfusion however induces necrotic and apoptotic damages to cardiomyocytes, that were viable prior to reperfusion, a process called myocardial ischemia/reperfusion injury(MI/RI). Over the past 30 years, hundreds of experimental interventions (both pharmacologic and nonpharmacologic) have been reported to protect the ischemic myocardium in experimental animals; however, with the exception of early reperfusion, none has been translated into clinical practice. The population-based survey assessed men have about twice the total incidence of morbidity and mortality of women, and the sex gap in morbidity tends to diminish after age 45 years. So hormone replacement therapy (HRT) is given to treat the MI/RI, and lots of studies shows that the side effect is greater for estrogen, compared with phyestrogen. In this article, we review the important pathogenesis of myocardial ischemia reperfusion injury, the prevention and limitations of HRT. And we highlight the mechanism of phyestrogens treatment the MI/RI in experiment. The aim is to provide the theoretically new way of develop the safe and effective products for the researchers.

7.Effects of benzene and toluene on serum immunological indexes and miRNA-146a,-155 expression in pet-rochemical workers

Objective To investigate the effects of immune system and immuno-related miRNAs expression in low-dose benzene and its homologue mixed-exposed workers in a short time. Methods A total of 40 workers were recruited from a petrochemical factory ,and their blood samples were collected before and after work to detect the levels of IgA,IgG,IgM,IFN-γ,IL-1β,IL-2,IL-8,TNF-αin serum and miRNA-146a,-155 expression in the peripheral blood mononuclear cell. In the meanwhile ,we measured the individual benzene and its homologue exposure level of recruited workers. Results According to the concentration of benzene ,the subjects were divided into benzene-exposed group(20 workers)and control group(20 workers). And toluene exposure level in benzene-exposed group was significantly higher than that in control group(P<0.05). Significant decrease of IgG was found in benzene-exposed workers after one work shift,compared with control group(P<0.05). Moreover,the interaction between benzene and toluene was significant correlated with the decrease of IL-1β and TNF-α(P < 0.05). Additionally,the interaction between miRNA-155 and miRNA-146a was significant correlated with the decrease of TNF-α(P<0.05). Conclusions:Occupational exposure to low-dose benzene and toluene in a short time could decrease immune function. And there may be an effect of miRNAs in the regulation of cytokine.

9.Evaluation of the immunogenicity of recombinant replicative DNA vaccines expressing multiple anti-gens of hepatitis C virus in a mice model

Objective To investigate the immunogenicity and cross protective effects of two novel HCV DNA vaccines in a mice model.Methods Two self-replicating alphavirus vector-based HCV DNA vaccines, pSCK CE1E2Y and pSCK H155, were constructed based on the genes encoding the structural pro-teins (Core, E1 and E2) and structural and NS3 fusion proteins (Core, E1 , E2 and NS3) of a HCV strain isolated from a Chinese patient (genotype 1b, Hebei strain), respectively.Western blot analysis was per-formed to detect the expression of fusion antigens.The BALB/c mice were intradermally immunized with the recombinant DNA vaccines by using electroporation.The immune responses induced in mice and the cross protective effects of the recombinant DNA vaccines were evaluated.Results The DNA vaccines effectively expressed the target antigens in vitro.The antigen-specific antibody responses and specific T cell immune re-sponses were induced in mice by the immunization of replicative DNA vaccines.However, no effective cross protection was provided by either of the DNA vaccines in the surrogate challenge model based on a recombi-nant heterologous HCV (JFH1, 2a) vaccinia virus strain.Conclusion Although no effective cross protec-tion was observed, both of the two replicative DNA vaccines could induce strong humoral and cellular im-mune responses against multi-target antigens of HCV strains.This study has paved the way for further inves-tigation on the development of novel HCV vaccines.
10.Protection action of resveratrol on cardiomyocyte hypertrophy mediated by endoplasmic reticulum stress

Aim To explore the role of resveratrol (Res)on cardiomyocyte hypertrophy induced by iso-proterenol (ISO)and the relationship with endoplas-mic reticulum stress (ERS).Methods Hypertrophic model of cardiomyocytes was induced by ISO.Hyper-trophy status of cardiomyocytes was determined by measuring the cell surface area and the gene expression of ANP.The value of apoptosis was measured by flow cytometry,the content of LDH and MDA was measured in different groups,and the gene and protein expres-sions of GRP78 and CHOP were detected by real-time PCR and Western blot.Results Res could attentuate ISO-induced cardiomyocyte hypertrophy and apoptosis by reducing the cell surface area,the gene expression of ANP and the value of apoptosis.Res could inhibit ERS by downregulating the gene and protein expression of GRP78 and CHOP.Meanwhile,the content of LDH and MDA was decreased.Conclusions The results suggest that treatment of Res may protect cardiomyocyte hypertrophy,which is partially mediated by inhibiting the expression of ERS factors GRP78 and CHOP.
