China Pharmacy 2016;27(15):2065-2067
OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effects of atorvastatin combined with valsartan on efficacy, safety and related indi-cators in patients with chronic nephritis. METHODS:86 patients with chronic nephritis were randomly divided into control group (43 cases)and observation group(43 cases). All patients were given low-salt,low-protein and high-quality diet with protein intake of 0.8 g/(kg·d),appropriately given Cyclophosphamide tablet,Prednisone tablet,Penicillin V potassium tablet and other conven-tional treatment. Based on it,control group was given 160 mg valsartan, once a day in early morning. Observation group was addi-tionally given 20 mg atorvastatin, once a day before bedtime. They were treated for 6 months. Clinical efficacy,24 h protein amount (24 h pro),serum creatinine (Scr),blood urea nitrogen (BUN),glomerular filtration rate (GFR),C-reactive protein (CRP),total cholesterol (TC),triglyceride (TG ),low density lipoprotein (LDL) and high density lipoprotein (HDL) in 2 groups were observed, and incidence of adverse reactions was followed-up for 9 months. RESULTS:The total effective rate in ob-servation group was significantly higher than control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). Before treatment, there were no significant differences in 24 h pro,Scr,BUN,GFR,CRP,TC,TG,LDL and HDL between 2 groups(P>0.05). After treatment,24 h pro,Scr,BUN and CRP in 2 groups were significantly lower than before, and observation group was lower than control group,GFR was significantly higher than before, and observation group was higher than control group, the differenc-es were statistically significant(P<0.05). TC and LDL in 2 groups were significantly lower than before,HDL was higher than be-fore,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05);but there were no significant differences in the TG between 2 groups and before and after treatment(P>0.05). And there was no significant differences in the incidence of adverse reactions between 2 groups (P>0.05). CONCLUSIONS:Based on the conventional treatment, the efficacy of atorvastatin combined with valsartan is superior to valsartan alone in the treatment of chronic nephritis, and it can significantly improve renal functions, with similar short-term safety.

Objective:To discuss the appropriate thyroid operation for the treatment of bilateral multinodular goiter. Methods: 328 bilateral multinodular goiter patients undergoing surgery in the department of general surgery of Capital Medical University Beijing Tongren Hospital from June 2012 to June 2016. were retrospectively analyzed. Of these patients, 85 underwent hemithyroidectomy combined with contralateral nodule resection or subtotal resection and 243 underwent bilateral subtotal thyroidectomy. The rate of postoperative complications and recurrence between hemithyroidectomy combined with contralateral nodule resection or subtotal resection and bilateral subtotal thyroidectomy were compared. Results: The follow-up time was 1 month to 48 months after operations. In hemithyroidectomy combined with contralateral nodule resection or subtotal resection group 1 patient developed recurrent laryngeal nerve palsy, 2 patients had transient hypoparathyroidism and 1 patient had hematoma in the operative cavity. In bilateral subtotal thyroidectomy group, 2 patients developed recurrent laryngeal nerve palsy and 2 patients had subcutaneous hematoma. The rate of recurrent disease was 2.35%(2 patients) in hemithyroidectomy combined with contralateral nodule resection or subtotal resection group and 7%(17 patients) in bilateral subtotal thyroidectomy group. There was no patient in both groups needed reoperation. Conclusions:Hemithyroidectomy combined with contralateral nodule resection or subtotal resection had similar complication rate compared with bilateral subtotal thyroidectomy, but it had a significantly lower risk of recurrence than bilateral subtotal thyroidectomy, Furthermore, the rest one lobe could be resected for many times which would not cause severe complications. Hemithyroidectomy combined with contralateral nodule resection or subtotal resection is worthed to be recommended.
3.Inhibitory effect of captopril on retinal neovascularization in mice
International Eye Science 2009;9(8):1448-1450
AIM: To study the inhibitory effect of captopril on retinal neovascularization (RNV).METHODS: Sixty seven-day-old mice were randomly divided into treated group and control group with thirty mice in each group. These mice were exposed to 750 50mL/L oxygen for 5 days and then to room air.The treated group had been injected captopril (2.7mL/kg), while control group had been injected 9g/L sodium chloride (2.7mL/kg) by intravitreal for 5 days. The mice were sacrificed at the 17th day after birth and the eyes were enucleated. Adenosine diphosphate-ase(ADPase) stained retina flat-mounts was performed to assess the retinal vascular profiles, Hematoxylin Eosin (HE)staining method was applied to count the number of new vascular cell nuclei and the expression of matrix metalloproteinase-2(MMP-2)and pigment epithelium derived factor (PEDF)was detected by immunohistochemical method.RESULTS: Comparing with control group, regular distributions and good branch and reduced density of RNV were observed in the treated group. The number of nucleus of new vessels vascular endothelial cells breaking through the internal limiting membrane was less in the treated group than in the control group (P<0.05). Stain of retinal MMP-2 was weaker in the treated group than in the control group and stain of retinal PEDF was stronger in the treated group than in the control group.CONCLUSION: Intravitreal injection of captopril (2.7mL/kg) may block the RNV in the oxygen-induced mouse model and may provide an effective method for prevent-ing RNV.
4.A Survey about Psychosomatic Symptoms and Related Psychosocial Factors of Nursing Students in Military School
Chinese Mental Health Journal 2002;0(08):-
Objective:To study the relationship between psychosomatic symptoms and psychosocial factors of nursing students in military school.Methods:469 nursing students of a military medical school were investigated by SCL-90,EPQ,PSSS,Coping style inventory and self-esteem scale and so on.Results:Nursing students had lower SCL-90 score than the norm of Chinese female and that of military medical students.Their SCL-90 score correlated with EPQ-E、EPQ-L negatively and EPQ-N、EPQ-P positively. It also correlated with passive coping style positively; with positive coping style,self-esteem negatively. Conclusion:Nursing students of military school have less psychosomatic symptoms than medical students. The influential factors are similar to other populations.

9.The biologic character of cancer stem cell and targeted therapy
Cancer Research and Clinic 1997;0(03):-
Cancer stem cell(CSC)plays a very important role in the genesis、relapse、metastasis and drug resistance of cancer.Traditional chemotherapeutics may kill a large part of malignant cells, but it has little effect on scanty CSC.It is enough for the relic CSC to make cancer relapse and metastasis.Targeted therapy aimed directly at CSC is the only way to cure cancer fundamentally. The specific biologic character of CSC is helpful for studying and developing targeted therapy to CSC.
