1.Study on effect of total matrines and extracts from Periplaneta americana on negative endometrial cancer cell JEC of progesterone receptors.
China Journal of Chinese Materia Medica 2015;40(11):2210-2213
To study the effect of total matrines and extracts from Periplaneta americana on negative endometrial cancer cell JEC of progesterone receptors. After detecting the effect of total matrine, extracts from P. americana and their combination on JEC cells' growth inhibition, cell cycle, P53 and c-erbB-2 gene protein expressions through MTT, flow cytometry instrument and Western blot method, the author found that, (1) MTT: total matrines and extracts from P. americana could inhibit the growth of JEC cell, with significant increase in the inhibitory effect in the combination group. (2) Flow cytometry instrument: the cell cycle at G0/G1 increased after the treatment with total matrines, the cell cycle at G2/M increased after the treatment with extracts from periplaneta americana, and the ratio of G0/G1 cell cycle in the combination group was significantly higher than the other groups, with inhibition in cell growth and statistical difference in inter-group comparison (P < 0.05). (3) Western blot: the expression level of P53 increased and c-erbB-2 decreased after the treatment with total matrines, extracts from P. americana and their combination on JEC cell, with statistical difference in inter-group comparison (P < 0.05). The above results suggested that total matrines, extracts from P. americana and their combination could induce cell cycle arrest and inhibit the growth of JEC cell by up-regulating P53 and down-regulating the c-erbB-2 level.

3. Identification of two imperatae rhizoma based on pcr-rflp
Chinese Pharmaceutical Journal 2019;54(18):1486-1490
OBJECTIVE: To identify two different characters of Imperatae Rhizoma on a molecular level. METHODS: A total of 30 samples of Imperatae Rhizoma were analyzed using DNA barcoding method based on ITS1, ITS2, psbA-trnH, matK, and rbcL genes. The DNA sequences were further used for site difference analysis. RESULTS: There is no site difference on psbA-trnH, matK, rbcL of two different characters of Imperatae Rhizoma, three key site differences on ITS1, and one key site difference on ITS2. The key site difference on ITS2 among two different characters of Imperatae Rhizoma can be recognized by the restriction enzyme HpyCH4III. CONCLUSION: ITS2 /ITS1 regions can accurately and efficiently identify two different characters of Imperatae Rhizoma, and PCR-RFLP analysis of the ITS2 region with HpyCH4III is a method to distinguish two different characters of Imperatae Rhizoma.

OBJECTIVE To investigate genes associated with aminoglycosides modification enzymes(AMEs) in Pseudomonas aeruginosa(PAE) isolated from ICU patients.METHODS Drug-reisistant genes encoding AMEs such as aac(3)-Ⅰ,aac(3)-Ⅱ,aac(6′)-Ⅰ,aac(6′)-Ⅱ,ant(3″)-Ⅰ and ant(2″)-Ⅰ were detected by polymerase chain reaction(PCR)(amplification) in 21 PAE isolates.RESULTS The positive rates of aac(3)-Ⅱ,aac(6′)-Ⅰ,aac(6′)-Ⅱ,ant(3″)-Ⅰ,ant(2″)-Ⅰ and aac(3)-Ⅰ genes were positive in 19.0%,23.8%,9.5%,4.8%,19.0% and 0% of 21 isolates, respectively. Drug-resistant genes encoding AMEs were detected positively in 42.8% of 21 isolates.(CONCLUSIONS) AMEs genes are present in high percentage of PAE isolated from ICU patients.

Objective To investigate the career decision-making self-efficacy as well as the psychological well-being of medical students and to discuss the correlation between them. Methods A cross-sectional survey with cluster random sampling was performed anonymously among 714 students of different majors and different grades in an medical University. The contents of the survey included the career decision making self-efficacy scale (CDMSE) as well as the self-reporting inventory(SCL-90).All data in the two groups were analyzed with t test; comparison of data between groups were analyzed with One-Way ANOVA; multiple comparison was analyzed with S-N-K; Pearson and Partial correlation analysis were used to analyzed the correlation between the career decision making self-efficacy and wellbeing. Results Totally 659 students completed the inventory, with response rate being92.3%.Average score of the participants' career decision-making self-efficacy was (124.72 ± 26.76)points,situating at the middle and lower level. There were differences in the scores of career decision making selfefficacy among different sexes, sources, grades and being student cadres or not (P =0.019,0.000,0.027,0.026) ; No differences was found among students of different majors and whether being the only child(P =0.243,0.223).Results of the SCL-90 inventory demonstrated that medical students had some psychological problems including obsessive-compulsive,interpersonal sensitivity and anxiety.Correlation analysis showed that psychological well-being and career decision-making self-efficacy was negatively correlated. Conclusions Measures should be taken to improve the medical students' career decision-making self-efficacy according to their psychological characteristics and to improve the medical students' psychological status by the improvement of career decision-making self-efficacy.

OBJECTIVETo assess the feasibility and safety of robot-assisted laparoscopic radical prostatectomy (RLRP) in the treatment of prostate cancer.
METHODSUsing the da Vinci robot surgical system, we performed RLRP for 34 patients with localized prostate cancer and analyzed the intraoperative and follow-up data.
RESULTSThe procedures were performed successfully in all the patients, with the mean operation time of 198 min (range 135-340 min), average blood loss of 257 ml (range 50-700 ml), and 1 case of blood transfusion, but no postoperative complications. Three cases had positive surgical margins. Postoperative examination at 4 weeks showed PSA > 0.2 microg/L in 2 cases, suggestive of residual tumor, for which maximal androgen block therapy was administered. The other 32 patients were followed up for 3-10 (mean 7.5) months, during which the average level of serum tPSA remained < 0.2 microg/L. Urinary continence was found in 94% (32/34) and 97% (33/34) of the patients at 3 and 6 months, respectively, of whom 77% (26/34) and 88% (30/34) had no urinary leakage (0 pad per day).
CONCLUSIONRLRP, with its advantages of less perioperative blood loss, low rate of positive margin, and good urinary continence, is a safe and effective surgical option for the treatment of prostate cancer.
