Background and purpose:The membrane cytoskeletal crosslinker—Ezrin may be involved in several functions including cell adhesion, motility and cell survival. There is increasing evidence that it regulates tumor progression. However, the role of Ezrin in the carcinogenesis, progression and metastasis of primary sporadic colorectal carcinoma is still under investigation. This research is to study the expression, the localization and the clinical significance of Ezrin in human sporadic colorectal carcinoma(SCRC).Methods:Immunohistological EnVision staining was used to detect the expression of Ezrin in 132 cases of human sporadic colorectal carcinoma and 43 adjacent normal colorectal mucosa, and the different expressions of Ezrin among metastatic and non-metastatic SCRC,including 74 metastatic cases and 58 non-metastatic cases were also under investigation.Results:① The expression rate of Ezrin in SCRC was significantly higher than that in adjacent normal colorectal mucosa(79.5% Vs 11.6%,P

Objective To analyze the nontubercutous mycobaeterium (NTM) identification data of two groups of sputum sam- ples during the periods of 1986 to 1997 and 2000 to 2005 so as to figure out the identification of NTM.Methods A total of 222 strains of non-tuberculosis mycobacteria were included for strain identification and sensitivity test with traditional methods.Re- suits According to Runyon classification, during the period of 1986-1997 there were 15 strains (15.5%) in GroupⅠ, 4 (4.2%) in GroupⅡ, 23 (24.0%)in GroupⅢand 54 (56.3%) in GroupⅣ;during the period of 2000—2005 there were 30 strains (16.1%) in GroupⅠ, 11(5.9%) in GroupⅡ, 51 (27.4%) in GroupⅢand 94 (50.6%) in GroupⅣ.The number of NTM types increased by 133.3%.The absolute number of NTM isolates in the first five years of this century increased by 93.89% compared with the numbers in the 11 years of last century. Conclusions The number of types and absolute number of i- solates of NTM have increased in the first live years of this century compared with the numbers in the 11 years of last century. We should enhance the epidemiological research on pulmonary NTM in order to provide scientific evidence for comprehensive prevention and treatment.

China Oncology 2001;0(05):-
Purpose:To investigate the prevention and treatment protocol for Af after resection of esophageal and car- dia carcinoma. Methods:Analyses for clinical materials of 1527 patients underwent resection for esophageal and cardiac carcinoma. Results:There were Af 23 cases.Age older than 60 years, abnormal ECG or/and pulmonary function before operation,gastro-esophageal anastomosis above the aortic arch and histological staging Ⅲ~Ⅳ were risk factors for AF.Fa- tal AF was rarely seen.In our 23 cases after treatment in time AF disappeared. Conclusions:Further recognition for post- operative AF and management of perioperative period complication, may reduce the danger of postoperative AF.

Microbiology 1992;0(04):-
Manganese-oxidizing microorganisms are able to oxidize soluble Mn(II) into insoluble Mn oxides. Such microorganisms are very useful in treatment of Mn-contaminated water. In this research, a Mn(II)- oxidizing bacterium Bacillus sp. MK3-1 was isolated from Mn-contaminated soil. This bacterium has high MnCl2 resistance with a MIC of 20 mmol/L. The results showed that it is able to oxidize and remove more than 96% of Mn(II) in the culture medium. The immobilized solid-embedding Bacillus sp. MK3-1can re- moved 87.12% of manganese contaminated water. The final concentration of MnCl2 after the treatment reached the national discharge standard level. Scan electron microscope observation showed that the pro- duced Mn oxides located on the cell surfaces of Bacillus sp. MK3-1. Energy dispersive spectrdmeter analy- sis indicated that the content of manganese of cell surfaces of Bacillus sp. MK3-1 was 19.60% (W/W). At last we amplified a 903 bp multicopper oxidase gene mnxG encoding the putative Mn(II)-oxidizing protein. The product of mnxG showed 86% identity to the reported multicopper oxidase.
9. Dual Roles of Lipid in Oocyte Development

Chinese Journal of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology 2021;37(6):704-709
Oocytes are the germ cells of female animals, which determine the reproductive ability of female animals. A large amount of lipids are present in oocytes, which are found in lipid droplets mostly in the form of triglycerides. The size, color and distribution pattern of lipid droplets are associated with the developmental ability of oocytes. Triglycerides could be lipolyzed into fatty acids in oocytes. The fatty acid β-oxidation is an important energy source for the development of oocytes and early embryos. However, excessive lipid deposition would increase levels of reactive oxygen species (ROS), resulting in the dysfunction of mitochondria and endoplasmic reticulum, eventually impairing the subsequent oocyte development. By summarizing the positive and negative effects of lipids on oocyte development, this review shows the dual roles of lipids in oocyte development, and discusses the effects of lipids on oocyte development.
