Objective To investigate and analyze the postoperative progression of ossification of the patients with ossification of the posterior longitudinal ligament (OPLL) on cervical spine. Methods From Jaunary 2001 to December 2007, 95 postoperative patients with cervical OPLL were followed and analyzed retrospectively. There are 72 males, 23 females, with the average age of 56.3 years (range, 40-73years). The follow-up time was from 1 to 6 years, average 3.1 years. Among them 36 patients were performed with anterior cervical corpectomy, fusion with titanium mesh and fixed with cervical plates, others treated with posterior cervical laminectomy and fixation. 2 of the 95 cases were performed anterior and posterior combined operation. Clinical data, X-rays, CT and MR images and progression of ossification, were measured and analyzed in details .The relationships between the progression of ossification and relative factors, as gender, age, C3 ossified involved, T-OPLL, OPLL-type, time of follow-up, surgical approach, Japanese Orthopaedic Association (JOA) scores and improvement rate of JOA scores, were analyzed. Results Progression of ossification in 39 cases among the 95 followed postoperative OPLL patients, 28 men and 11 women, average age 55.9 years, range 41-71 years. The age of progressed patients included 12 cases of ≤49 years, 12of 50-59 years, 12 of 60-69 years and 3 of ≥70 years. 35 patients were operated by posterior approach and only 4 treated with anterior operation. According to the standard of the progression of ossification that 2 mm in the length or/and thickness, there are 4 cases progressed only in length, 2 only in thickness, other 33 patients both the length and thickness. Progression of length is from 2mm to 20mm (average 7.74±4.71). But thickness is progressed from 2 mm to 6 mm (average 2.67±1.51). From 1 to 3 years follow-up time it appeard as a downtrend about the progression of ossification. But it may appear an uptrend from the 4th year. JOA score and improvement rate of the JOA score were almost improved to the high-point in three years. And according to the statistic data there are obvious relationship between progression of ossification with age, surgical approach and C3 ossified involved. Conclusion There is a high rate of postoperative ossification progression in cervical OPLL patients. Cervical OPLL patients with C3 ossification involved, performed with posterior laminectomy and those young at surgery may have higher rate of progression of the ossification. The JOA score and improvement rate of the JOA score were little influenced by the progression of the OPLL during the short and intermediate-term follow-up.

Asteroid Hyalosis (AH) is a common clinical disease,which has been considered a benign disorder as it rarely impairs visual acuity.It was often discovered when the patient was treated for other eye diseases.The mechanism was unclear.Its characteristic B-ultrasound property makes the B-ultrasound a very helpful diagnostic technique.In the case of the patients with other fundus diseases associated with AH,optical coherence tomography (OCT) and fluorescein angiography (FA) may be used to reduce the interference from asteroid bodies,therefore improve the fundus visibility.Recent studies have shown that AH can incorporate with many other eye diseases.For example,in patients with cataracts,asteroid hyalosis can cause surface calcification of silicone plate intraocular lenses,which in most cases may lead to the need for explantation of the calcified intraocular lenses.The efficacy of pars plana vitrectomy (PPV),the removal of some,or all,of the eye`s vitreous humor for AH remains controversial.In this paper,we provide a review of the recent literature on AH disease: the etiology,diagnosis and treatment.We hope to thus improve the awareness and outcomes of AH disease.

Objective To investigate the effect of comprehensive intervention therapy of losing weight on leptin and blood lipid,blood glucose,insulin in adolescent girl students with simple obesity.Methods Simple obesity adolescent girl students were accepted the losing weight therapy composed of the aerobic exercise,reasonable diet,behavior modification and medical supervision for 10 months.Then the changes of blood leptin and correlated hormone were examined before test,during test and after test,respectively.Results The leptin and correlated hormone levels were significantly higher in obesity subjects than that in normal subjects,and the levels of serum leptin was positively correlated with BMI and insulin.The blood leptin and blood lipid,blood glucose,insulin were decreased obviously after experimental losing weight.Conclusion Comprehensive intervention therapy of losing weight can significantly lose weight,leptin and insulin,so it plays an important role in modifying the metabolism disorder

Objective To investigate the effects of different dose of tranexamic acid in fibrinolysis during liver transplantation. Methods Sixty ASA Ⅱ~ Ⅳ liver transplant recipients, were randomly, double-blind assigned to one of 3 groups (n = 20): group control (group C), group tranexamic acid 1 (group T1) and group tranexamic acid 2 (group T2). The patients in group C received a loading dose of normal saline 10 mL, then continued infuse normal saline at 20 mL/h until neohepatic phase 120 min, while in other two groups, patients received a loading dose of tranexamic acid 1 g, totally 10 mL, followed by continuous infusion at 10 mg/(kg·h) in group T1 or 20 mg/(kg·h) in group T2 until neohepatic phase 120 min. Prothrombin time, fibrinogen, fibrin degradation product and D-dimers were measured before operation (T0), 120 min after the skin incision (T1), nonhepatic phase 30 min (T2), neohepatic phase 120 min (T3). Blood loss, fresh frozen plasma dosage, fibrinogen dosage and thromboembolic events were recorded. Results The plasma concentration of fibrin degradation product and plasma concentration of D-dimers were different in the 3 groups, group T2< group T1 0.05). Conclusions Continuous infusion of tranexamic acid can inhibit fibrinolysis during liver transplantation. No adverse event of thrombosis was detected. Larger dose of tranexamic acid can reduce blood loss and fresh frozen plasma transfusion.

In view of current contradiction between information resources sharing and the protection of intellectual property,the author pointed out the need to maintain coordinated de-velopment,and for the relationship between the unity of these two opposites proposed some practical measures to further promote the sharing of resources and the sound development of the equity market.

The enzymatic degumming of ramie bast fibers is a kind of method with high performance, superior quality, free from pollution that directly makes use of the extra cellular enzyme or zymin produced in the fermentation process of microorganisms to degrade the gum. So far, many investigations regarding this aspect have been conducted at home and abroad, and screened various strains including aerobic bacteria and anaerobic bacteria. Comparison with the chemical degumming, the enzymatic degumming shows the advantage of improving the quality of refined dried-ramie, significantly lowering the pollution of the environment, and isone of the main development directions in the future. At the same time, if the degumming technology is extensively applied into industrialization production, the dosage of enzymes will prodigiously increase, which will promote the development of the industry on enzymes.

To study the effect of cholesterol and 25-OH-cholesterol on cholesterol metabolism in HepG2 cells and the effect of coptisine (Cop) extracted from Coptidis Rhizoma (CR) in reducing and regulating cholesterol. In this study, TC, TG, LDL-c and HDL-c were measured by biochemical analysis; mRNA and protein expressions of LDLR, HMGCR and CYP7A1 were detected by qRT-PCR and Western blot. According to the results, cholesterol and 25-OH-cholesterol inducing could decrease in mRNA and protein expressions of LDLR and CYP7A1, so as to increase TC and LDL-c contents. However, Cop could up-regulate mRNA and protein expressions of LDLR and CYP7A1 and down-regulate that of HMGCR, so as to reduce TC and LDL-c levels. These findings suggested that Cop has potential pharmacological activity for reducing cholesterol, and may reduce cholesterol by regulating mRNA and protein expressions of key genes involved in cholesterol metabolism, such as LDLR, CYP7A1 and HMGCR. This study laid a firm theoretical foundation for developing new natural drugs with the cholesterol-lowering activity.

Objective To investigate the early diagnostic and prognostic value of plasma D-dimer level in acute aortic dissection.Method Data of totally 500 acute chest pain patients were studied,in which 250 cases were in group of acute aortic dissection (group AAD) confirmed by aortic computerized tomographic angiography (CTA) or cardiac ultrasonography,and the rest 250 cases were in non AAD group (group control).The D-dimer test was performed in all patients within 72 hours after onset of chest pain,and comparison of plasma D-dimer concentration was carried out between two groups.The D-dimer diagnostic value in AAD was analyzed by plotting the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve.According to AAD patients with aortic CTA findings,the whole aortic artery was divided into four segments by the major vascular branches,and the false lumen area was measured by degree score,the relationship between the score and D-dimer level were analyzed.To study the prognostic value of D-dimer in AAD,the comparison of D-dimer level was carried out between survival group and death group,and the AAD patients were further stratified by the surgery and Stanford type.Results The plasma D-dimer concentrations in AAD group were significantly higher than those in controls (P ＜0.01).The sensitivity,specificity,positive predictive value and negative predictive value of D-dimer (＞ 1.14 mg/L) in the diagnosis of AAD were 81.2％,79.39％,74.63％ and 72.4％ respectively,and the area under the ROC curve was 0.083.The elevated level of D-dimer was positively correlated with the extent of AAD false lumen (Spearman-Rho =0.418,P ＜ 0.01).D-dimer levels in the death group were higher than those in the survival group.Conclusions D-dimer may be a valuable biomarker in early diagnosis of AAD.The elevated level of D-dimer was useful to evaluate the extent of the dissection and prognosis of AAD.
