Abstract?AlM: To observe the clinical efficacy and safety of glaucoma filtration surgery combined with the application of 5 - fluorouracil for clinical treatment to offer the reference.?METHODS:A total of 91 cases of patients with glaucoma treated in our hospital were randomly divided into three groups, 30 cases of group A were given mitomycin in surgery, 31 cases of group B were given 5-fluorouracil, 30 cases of group C were given cyclosporine. They were given 12 -month-follow-up after operation, the operation success rate were recorded, the incidence of 1 -year-adverse reactions, visual acuity, intraocular pressure, low intraocular pressure, shallow anterior chamber, corneal damage index were recorded.?RESULTS: lntraocular pressure ofgroups A, B, C were respectively (20.5±8.6)mmHg,(15.2±5.5)mmHg,(20.0± 8. 1 ) mmHg, by the analysis of variance, group B was significantly lower than other two groups,P<0. 05;patients of groups A, B, C whose visual acuity increased ratios after 1y were respectively 22. 5%, 38. 1%,and 23. 1% , by the Chi. square test, the increased ratio of group B was higher than other two groups , P<0. 05; The operation success rates after 1y of operation of groups A, B, C were respectively 67. 5%,88. 1%,71. 8%,by the Chi square test, the increased ratio of group B was higher than other two groups, P<0. 05;The general incidence of adverse reaction were respectively 22. 5%,9. 5%,20. 5%,by the Chi square test , the increased ratio of group B was lower than other two groups, P<0. 05.?CONCLUSlON:Glaucoma filtration surgery combined with the application of 5-fluorouracil can improve the operation success rate, decrease the occurrence rate of adverse reaction, and safety can be improved.

Objective To investigate the expression of transforming growth factor-?(TGF-?) in the villus and deciduas of different outcomes after administration with mifepristone and misoprostol in the termination of early pregnancy. Methods From May 2004 to March 2005,50 women who were comfirmed early pregnancy and requested termination of pregnancy in the outpatient department were recruited.Patients with medical abortion were divided into two groups according to the final outcomes: group of complete abortion(n=15) and group of incomplete abortion((n=)15).Another 20 patients with surgical abortion were served as control.The villus and deciduas were collected at the third day of medical abortion,whereas the same was done at the day of surgical abortion.The expression of TGF-? in villus and deciduas of the three groups were measured by immunohistochemical method. Results The age,gestational age,diameter of gestational sac and levels of serum E_(2),P and ?-HCG before abortion were similar in these groups.Compared with the other two groups,the expressions of TGF-? in the villus and deciduas in the group of complete abortion were significantly decreased(P

Objective To evaluate the effect of isoflurane anesthesia on noise-induced hearing loss in guinea pigs.Methods Forty-eight healthy adult male guinea pigs,aged 3 months,weighing 400-500 g,were randomly divided into 4 groups (n =12 each) using a random number table:control group (C group),isoflurane group (I group),noise-induced hearing loss group (N group),and isoflurane + noise-induced hearing loss group (I + N group).Isoflurane was inhaled for 140 min at a concentration of 1％ in I and I + N groups.N and I + N groups were exposed to the noise of 4 kHz center frequency and 118-122 dB sound pressure level for 120 min starting from 20 min after administration.Mean arterial pressure (MAP) was recorded at 10,40,70,100 and 120 min of exposure to noise and cochlear blood flow (CoBF) was recorded before administration and at 10,40,70,100 and 120 min of exposure to noise.Auditory brainstem response (ABR) threshold was recorded before administration and at 1 h,72 h,and 10 days after the end of exposure to noise.Arterial blood samples were obtained and the plasma noradrenaline (NE) concentration was detected by HPLC before exposure to noise and immediately after the end of exposure to noise.Results Compared with group C,MAP and the change rate of CoBF were significantly decreased,and the plasma NE concentration was increased immediately after the end of exposure to noise in I group,and MAP was increased,the change rate of CoBF was decreased,and the plasma NE concentration immediately after the end of exposure,and ABR threshold after the end of exposure were increased in N and I + N groups.Compared with N group,MAP was significantly decreased,the change rate of CoBF was increased,the plasma NE concentration immediately after the end of exposure,and ABR threshold at 1 and 72 h after the end of exposure were increased,and no significant was found in ABR threshold at 10 days after the end of exposure in I + N group.Conclusion Isoflurane anesthesia exerts temporary but not permanent protective effects against noise-induced hearing loss in guinea pigs and partial inhibition of activation of sympathetic nerve and increased CoBF may be involved in the mechanism.

Objective To observe the effect of Zhibo Dihuang Pill(ZDP) on leptin-induced idiopathic central precocious puberty(ICPP) in mice.Methods Eighteen BALB/c female mice aged 18 months were randomized into 6 groups: normal group,model group,high-and low-dose ZDP groups(at the dose of 101.4 and 50.7 g?kg-1?d-1 respectively),and megestrol acetate(3.9 mg?kg-1?d-1)group and gonadotropin releasing hormone analogues(GnRH-A) group(at the first dose of 1573.5 ?g/kg,the second and the third dose of 1180 ?g/kg,once every other day).Except the normal group,the mice in other groups received intraperitoneal injection of leptin 20mg/kg to establish ICPP model.After treatment,the vaginal opening,body weight,uterus weight and ovaries weight as well as the serum levels of luteinizing hormone(LH),estrogen(E2) were detected.Meanwhile,the uterus index and ovaries index were also examined.Results High-dose ZDP had an inhibition on the advance of vaginal opening induced by leptin after modeling for 4~6 days(P0.05).Conclusion The therapeutic effect of ZDP for ICPP is probably related with the inhibition of the advance of hypothalamic-pituitary-gonad axis activation.

Objective To understand the situation of iodine deficiency disorders of Cangzhou city, Hebei province, in order to provide the scientific basis for prevention and control of iodine deficiency disorders. Methods From 2007 to 2009, dynamic monitoring of iodine deficiency disorders was carried out in low iodized salt coverage places Hejian city and Xian county. Nine towns were randomly chosen in each county, 4 administrative villages were randomly selected in each town, 8 household salts were tested in each village. Every year, 1 - 3 copies of residents water samples were collected for determination of iodine; more than 100 students age 8 - 10 years old were checked the situation of goiter and urinary iodine, more than 40 students selected were measured iodine content of salt from their home; more than 50 women of childbearing age 18 - 40 years were tested of urinary iodine. Thyroid was examined with palpation; water iodine and urine iodine concentration were measured with arsenic-Ce catalytic spectrophotometry; salt iodine was detected by direct titration. Results From 2007 to 2009,median household salt iodine were 4.3,15.9,3.6,18.4,4.6,11.7 mg/kg in Hejian city and Xian county, respectively,iodized salt accounted for 34.03% (98/288), 78.82% (227/288), 29.86% (86/288), 84.72% (244/288), 37.15%(107/288),49.31% (142/288), respectively, the consuming rate of iodized salt were 27.08% (78/288),36.46%( 105/288 ), 28.13% (81/288 ), 49.31% ( 142/288 ), 37.15 % ( 107/288 ), 30.90% ( 89/288 ), respectively. Ten samples of drinking water were tested, water iodine were 5.5 - 34.4 μg/L. From 2007 to 2009, the goiter rate of students aged 8 - 10 years old was below 5%, the median of urinary iodine were 138.1,176.6,112.0 μg/L, ＜ 100 μg/L ratio were 31.6% ( 65/206 ), 25.0% ( 52/208 ) and 44.4% (91/205 ). The median of urinary iodine of child-bearing age women were 167.3,164.2,78.1 μg/L, ＜ 100 μg/L ratio were 28.7%(29/101 ), 19.2%(20/104) and 60.0%(60/100).Conclusions In areas with low coverage of iodized salt, iodine nutrition level are affected, the child-bearing age

Human cytomegalovirus (HCMV) late mRNA expression in megakaryoblast and in turn the pathogenesis of idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) patients with HCMV infection, and effectiveness of ganciclovir were investigated. Colony forming unit-megakaryocytes (CFU-MK) of 46 ITP patients with HCMV infection were incubated from patients' bone marrow mononuclear cells (MNC). Reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) was subsequently used for CFU-MK for HCMV-late mRNA detection. Ganciclovir therapy was given to both HCMV-late mRNA positive and negative groups for comparison of therapeutic effectiveness. The results in 19 of 46 CFU-MK culture cells specimens with positive HCMV-DNA by PCR or positive CMV-IgM by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) in the correspondent serum of peripheral blood were positive for HCMV-late mRNA. Sixteen out of 19, patients with positive HCMV-late mRNA CFU-MK had a positive response to ganciclovir. Amongst 27 patients with negative HCMV-late mRNA CFU-MK, only 4 positive responders to ganciclovir therapy were observed. Curative effectiveness of ganciclovir in HCMV-late mRNA positive group was significantly higher than that in HCMV-late mRNA negative group (P<0.01). It was suggested that HCMV could directly infect CFU-MK, which might be one of the mechanisms responsible for HCMV related ITP. The ganciclovir is an effective therapy in resulting in the increases in thrombocyte in the ITP patients whose HCMV- late mRNA was positive in their CFU-MK.
