1.Combined use of cetuximab and chemotherapy in recurrent or metastatic squamous cell carcinoma of head and neck
Journal of International Oncology 2010;37(12):907-909
Recurrent or metastatic squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck(SCCHN) has a poor prognosis. Cetuximab is a monoclonal antibody that inhibits epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) and improves the effect of several chemotherapeutical agents including cisplatin. Several clinical trials have shown that cetuximab combined with chemotherapy was effective and well tolerated for the treatment of recurrent or metastatic SCCHN. The strengths of such treatment are its high efficacy and low toxicity.

Chinese Journal of Digestive Surgery 2021;20(3):276-280
The incidence and proportion of right colon cancer is increasingly high in recent years with a relatively poor prognosis. Right hemicolectomy is the standard procedure for the treatment of right colon cancer. Recently, infrapyloric lymph node (No.206 nodes) dissection has become one of the hot topics of surgical treatment for right colon cancer. The incidence of infrapyloric lymph node metastasis is still unclear, and whether it belongs to the regional lymph node of the right colon cancer is controversial. There are few methods to judge and predict infrapyloric lymph node metastasis, and the accuracy of diagnosis is low. What's more, dissection of infrapyloric lymph node might increase the risk of complications and perioperative mortality, as well as lead to overtreatment. As a result, this series of problems and controversies result in the obscure of the clinical value of infrapyloric lymph node dissection. Therefore, there is urgent need to design more high-quality, multicenter and large-sample prospective randomized controlled trials to explore the standard of routine dissection of infrapyloric lymph node for right colon cancer. Based on research advances at home and abroad, the authors review the incidence of infrapyloric lymph node metastasis, methods for judgement of infrapyloric lymph node metastasis, inluencing factors for lymph node metastasis, value of lymph node dissection, and research of direction in the future.
4. Life cycle assessment for the "implicit" environmental impact of construction projects
Academic Journal of Xi'an Jiaotong University 2009;21(3):167-171
The paper has established an assessment system and a quantitative calculation method of the "implicit" environmental impact including environmental impact indicator, resources consumption indicator and energy consumption indicator. The quantitative calculation of the environmental impact indicator is based on the life cycle assessment system and the evaluation software BEES. The paper identifies normalization reference values and weights for 12 categories of the environmental impact. It also analyzes the environmental impact indicator in life cycle stages, raw materials, transportation, manufacturing, utilization, and end of life. A university refectory project is studied. The result has shown that human health, global warming and acidification are the first three environmental impacts in 12 categories. The environmental impact indicator per m2 of this project is 18.448 × 10-2 standard human equivalent weight. Moreover, 97.3% of the total environmental impact occurs at the raw material stage, in which the most severe environmental impact is cancerous health effect; the global warming is the main impact at the transportation and manufacturing stages; the indoor air quality impact is at the usage stage.

China Journal of Chinese Materia Medica 2014;39(5):851-856
This study was to investigate the chemical constituents from pseudobulbs of Pleione yunnanensis, one of the source of traditional Chinese medicine "Shancigu". The chemical constituents were isolated by various chromatography methods, including silica gel, ODS, Sephadex LH-20, and semi-preparative HPLC. Fourteen compounds were isolated and identified from the EtOAc fraction of 90% ethanol extract, including five dihydrophenanthrenes, four bibenzyls, two triterpenoids, and three phenylacrylic acids. Their structures were identified on the basis of the spectral data as 4, 7-dihydroxy-2-methoxy-9,10-dihydrophenanthrene (1), 4, 7-dihydroxy-1-(p-hydroxybenzyl)-2-methoxy-9,10-dihydrophenanthrene (2), (2,3-trans)-2-(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl) -3-hydroxymethyl-10-methoxy-2,3,4,5-tetrahydro-phenanthro[2,1-b]furan-7-ol (3), pleionesin B (4), blestriarene A (5), batatasin III (6), 3, 3'-dihydroxy-2-(p-hydroxybenzyl) -5-methoxybibenzyl (7), 3', 5-dihydroxy-2-(p-hydroxybenzyl) -3-methoxybibenzyl (8), 3,3'-dihydroxy-2,6-bis(4-hydroxybenzyl) -5-methoxybibenzyl (9), triphyllol (10), pholidotin (11), (E) -p-hydroxycinnamic acid (12), (E)-ferulic acid (13), and (E)-ferulic acid hexacosyl ester (14). Compounds 5,10-14 were separated from this plant for the first time.

Chinese Journal of Plastic Surgery 2013;29(6):440-443
OBJECTIVETo investigate the clinical application of pedicled superficial circumflex iliac artery (SCIA) flaps in Burns and Plastic Surgery.
METHODS19 cases with skin and soft tissue defects were repaired with the Superficial circumflex iliac artery flaps. The defects located in the hand and forearm, the lower abdomen and perineal area, the radicle area of thigh, etc. Before the SCIA flaps were transfered to the recipient areas, 15 cases with different kinds of wounds were debrided thoroughly, 3 cases with scar were removed directly. The size of the flaps ranged from 3.0 cm x 4.5 cm to 26.0 cm x 22.0 cm, and the pedical was 5 cm to 7 cm in length.
RESULTSThe flaps in the 18 cases survived completely. Skin necrosis in the distal end of the flap appeared in 1 case, and the wound healed after the second repair. The follow-up period rang from 3 to 18 months. The apperance and function of the hand or foot was satisfactory.
CONCLUSIONSBecause the pedicled SCIA flaps can be obtain conveniently and contain sufficient blood-supply, so the flap is easy to survive and the flap can be designed in a large size. We believe it is an ideal method to use this flap to repair skin and soft tissue defects located in hands, forearms, the lower abdomen and perineal areas, the radicle area of thigh and so on.

World Science and Technology-Modernization of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2015;(9):1934-1937
Recently, there are many prominent problems about the quality ofIndigo Naturalis. To explore the underlying reasons, both ancient and modern herbal literatures were reviewed. Through the organization of recordings onIndigo Naturalis, the traditional process method required soaking and fermentation, stiring and depositing, foaming and shade drying. The currently usedIndigo Naturalis was mostly isolated and purified from crude deposit -“Cu-Dian.” The modern process technique ofIndigo Naturalis was gradually deviated from the traditional processing method. This paper also discussed the quality standards ofIndigo Naturalis. The author considered that the current standard on descriptions ofIndigo Naturalis characteristics was deviated from the traditional morphological features ofIndigo Naturalis, which should be further researched and verified. Therefore, this study provided certain references for the quality control and market supervision ofIndigo Naturalis.
