2.Relationship of visual quality and postoperative dominant eye changes with age-related cataract
International Eye Science 2015;(5):866-868
? AlM: To investigate age - related cataract and its postoperative dominant eye changes and visual quality of patients.
?METHODS: Totally 102 patients ( 204 eyes ) with age-related cataract in our hospital from January 2013 to November 2014 were selected, and according to preoperative best corrected visual acuity ( BCVA ) were divided into two groups, in which the both eyes BCVA difference ≥2 lines ( 78 cases, 156 eyes ) was group A, and both eyes BCVA difference ≤1 line ( 24 cases, 48 eyes ) was group B. Dominant eyes were detected preoperatively and at postoperative 1 and 3mo. Contrast sensitivity and investigated visual satisfaction were tested.
?RESULTS: Preoperative dominant eye corrected visual acuity was 0. 34 ± 0. 11, significantly higher than that of the non-dominant eye (0. 15 ± 0. 09), and there was statistically significant difference ( P < 0. 05 ); At postoperative 1 and 3mo,between corrected visual acuity difference dominant eyes and the non-dominant eyes was not statistically significant ( P>0. 05 ); At postoperative 3mo, 17 cases in the group A had dominant eye changes, and change rate was 21. 79% (17/78). At postoperative 3mo, the dominant eye change rate in the group B was 20. 83% (5/24), and there was no statistical significant difference between the two groups ( P > 0. 05 ). The dominant eye change group and non- change groups patients with different spatial frequency contrast sensitivity test showed no statistical significance ( P >0. 05 ), Postoperative 3mo after operationvisual satisfaction questionnaire display, score of group A was (91. 35±10. 26) points, score of group B was (90. 15±9. 75) points (P>0. 05), the dominant eye change group score was (90. 08±9. 77) points, score non-change group was (91. 43±10. 22) points (P>0. 05).
?CONCLUSlON: The dominant eye changes exist in postoperative eyes with age-related cataract, but there is no effect on visual quality.
3.Gut microbiota and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease
Journal of Clinical Hepatology 2017;33(4):774-779
Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is a common liver disease with multiple factors involved, and its incidence is gradually increasing around the world.Recent studies have found that gut microbiota is involved in the development and progression of NAFLD.This article summarizes the association between gut microbiota and NAFLD from the aspects of influencing factors for gut microbiota and the roles of gut microbiota and its metabolites in the development and progression of NAFLD and points out that the intervention of gut microbiota and its metabolites may be a new target for the prevention and treatment of NAFLD.

Objective To investigate the application progress of postoperative fluid administration in colorectal surgery. Methods Literatures about the advancement of fluid administration in colorectal surgery were reviewed and analyzed. Results Compared to standard fluid management, restrictive fluid administration could reduce the incidence of complications, the length of stay in hospital and improve postoperative survival rate.Colloid-crystalloid combined therapy was better than that pure crystal therapy. Conclusion Volume and type of rehydration influence postoperative recovery, which is also considered in "fast track" colorectal surgery.

Objective To explore the effects of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and nitric oxide (NO) on coronary collateral blood flow (CCBF) in a rabbit model of physical ischemic training (PIT),and to provide a foundation for the study of the mechanism of collateral circulation formation in PIT.Methods Models of intermittent myocardial ischemia were established in 55 rabbits by installing a water balloon constrictor on the left ventricular coronary artery. The rabbits were then divided into a sham-operation group,a pure ischemia group,a PIT group,a PIT group with NO inhibition pretreatment,a PIT group with VEGF inhibition treatment, and a PIT group with both NO and VEGF inhibition pretreatment.Microspheres were injected at modeling and before sacrifice before and after ischemic stimulation. At the termination of the experiment the ischemic myocardial tissue of the left ventricular anterior wall was sampled, and then relative CCBF was measured using the microspheres. Results There was no significant difference among the 6 groups before training. After training prominent differences among the groups were observed, with the PIT group having the greatest increase in CCBF.CCBF in the pure ischemia group, the PIT group, and the PIT group with NO inhibition pretreatment were significantly higher than in the sham-operation group.Significant differences were also found between the PIT group and the three pretreatment groups.CCBF in the PIT group with NO pretreatment and VEGF inhibition was significantly different from that in the NO pretreatment group, while it was not found in the group with VEGF inhibition pretreatment. The CCBF in the group with VEGF inhibition pretreatment and the group with NO inhibition pretreatment was similar. Conclusions PIT can improve CCBF to the remote ischemic myocardium when combined with VEGF and NO pretreatment.Blocking VEGF or NO can reduce CCBF after training, and both VEGF and NO are involved in the formation of collateral circulation, with VEGF playing the major role.

Objective To investigate the changes of expressions of axon guidance molecule Sema3F and its receptor Np2 in hippocampus of temporal lobe epilepsy(TLE)rat. Methods Rats were injected with Lithium-chloride,Pilocarpine intraperitoneally to establish TLE model. The Sema3F mRNA,Np2 mRNA and protein in areas CA1,CA3 and dentate gyrus(DG)of hippocampus at different time were detected by immunohistochemistry and in situ hybridization for TLE models.Further, they were compared with normal control group. Results Compared with normal control group, the expressions of Sema3F mRNA,Np2 mRNA and protein in areas CA1,CA3 significantly decreased(P
10.Postmenopausal bleeding:a clinical analysis of 210 cases
Chinese Journal of Primary Medicine and Pharmacy 2006;0(09):-
Objective To investigate the causes, diagnostic methods, prevention and cure of postmenopausal bleeding(PMB).Methods The clinical and pathological data of 210 PMB patients admitted in this hospital were retrospectively analyzed. Results The causes for PMB were benign diseases(69.5%),the most of which were infec- tious diseases(49.5%),non-organic disease(20.5%)and malignant tumor(10.0%).Compared with benign diseases and non-organic diseases, the attack age of malignant tumor was higher[(67.1?6.9)years old],menopausal dura- tion was longer(11.6?2.9)years,bleeding duration was longer[(157.6?26.4)days],and mucous membrane was obviously thickened[(14.6?3.2)mm](P0.05).Conclusion The main cause for PMB is benign diseases, followed by non-organic diseases.More attentions should be paid to the PMB patients with higher attack age, longer menopausal duration and bleeding dura- tion, and obviously thickened mucous membrane,so as to be precautions to the occurrence of malignant tumor.
