4. Anti-inflammation effect of curcumin and its derivatives in vivo
Chinese Pharmaceutical Journal 2012;47(17):1374-1377
OBJECTIVE: To investigate the anti-inflammation effect of curcumin and its derivative in vivo. METHODS: Observations were made on the anti-inflammatory effect of curcumin and its derivatives in xylene-induced mouse ear edema and carrageenan-induced paw edema. The plasma T-AOC, MDA and tissue PGE2 levels were measured. RESULTS: Xylene-induced mouse ear edema and carrageenan-induced paw edema were improved by curcumin and its derivatives in different degrees (P < 0.05, P < 0.01), the plasma MDA levels were lowered, the T-AOC levels were increased, meanwhile PGE2 synthesis in the inflammatory tissues were inhibited (P < 0.05, P < 0.01). CONCLUSION: The anti-inflammatory activity of curcumin and its derivatives in mice may be related to increasing antioxidant capacity and inhibiting the PGE2 synthesis. Journal of Practical Stomatology 2014;(6):757-759
Objective:To explore the relationship between wearing of functional appliance and systemic metabolism of PGE2 in the blood of growing rats.Methods:54 male Wistar rats aged 4-weeks were randomly divided into 3 groups(n =18):Daytime group,all-day group and control group.Self-guided functional appliance was made for mandible advancement of the rats in the 2 experimental groups. One week after appliance wearing, rats were sacrificed at the corresponding time points and blood in femoral artery was taken. PGE2 levels in the blood samples were measured, data were analysed by cosine equation. Results:Hypothesis was true in the control group(P <0.05),and was not true in both 2 experimental groups(P >0.05).Conclusion:PGE2 level in rat blood is circadian rhyth-mic,wearing of functional appliance made may disturb the rhythm.

China Biotechnology 2006;0(07):-
The production conditions of glutathione with shaking flask fermentation by the mutant Saccharomyces J-X25, a methionine-defected strain were studied, and the optimum culture conditions are as follows: initial pH6. 0, temperature 30℃, 100ml in 500ml flask, the inoculum size 10% and agitation rate 220r/min. The emphasis was on the stimulating effect on the cells by dioxogen and the sodium lactate as surfactant. Both of which were added at the logarithmic phase of fermentation, and the GSH production was up to 0. 253g/L , 52% higher than the control without the additions. Compared with the production of GSH initial strain that by the mutant in optimum conditions was increased by 79%.
8.Clinical effects of joint injection therapy, ultrashort wave physical therapy and oral medication on temporomandibular joint osteoarthritis
Chinese Journal of Biochemical Pharmaceutics 2017;37(8):338-339,341
Objective To observe and analyze the clinical effects of joint injection therapy, ultrashort wave physical therapy and oral medication on temporomandibular joint osteoarthritis. Methods From September 2014 to September 2016 in Huanggang central hospital of Hubei province, 120 patients with osteoarthritis of the temporomandibular joint were divided into 3 groups according to the different treatment methods, 40 cases in each group. The injection group were treated with a joint cavity injection, The ultrashort wave group were given ultrashort wave physiotherapy, and the drug group were given oral medication. The effects and the temporomandibular joint function (DI) values were compared in the 3 groups at 1, 3 and 6 months after treatment. Results 1 months after treatment, the total effective rate in the injection group was 92.50%, 90%in the ultrashort wave group, and 72.50% in the drug group. The total effective rate in the injection group and the ultrashort wave group were better than that in the drug group (P<0.05); 3 and 6 months after treatment, the total effective rate was 90% and 95% in the injection group, which were better than those in the other 2 groups (P<0.05); DI value in the injection group was (0.17 ±0.04), (0.18±0.03), which were significantly better than the other 2 groups (P<0.05). Conclusion The effect is better which joint cavity injection was used in the treatment of temporomandibular joint osteoarthritis. It has good stability and is worthy of further popularization and application
9.Effect of low dose of dexamethasone combined with mannitol on early swelling of oral and maxillofacial injuries
Chinese Journal of Biochemical Pharmaceutics 2017;37(7):202-203,206
Objective To explore the effect of low dose of dexamethasone and mannitol on the early swelling of oral and maxillofacial injuries. Methods A total of 100 patients with oral and maxillofacial injuries who were treated in Huanggang City Center Hospital from February 2015 to January 2016 were divided into two groups by means of an envelope randomized group.Group 50 patients, group A patients received low doses of dexamethasone treatment, B group of patients on the basis of increased mannitol for treatment, compared the efficacy of both groups of patients with maxillofacial swelling improved. Results The clinical general improvement probability of group B was significantly higher than that of group A, and the distance between the horizontal direction and the vertical direction of group B was significantly higher than that of group A (P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of low dose dexamethasone and mannitol has a great effect on the early swelling of oral and maxillofacial injury, and it is worthy to be further implemented in the future clinical practice.

Objective To evaluate the role of cyclic adenosine monophosphate-protein kinase A (cAMP-PKA) signal transduction pathway in lidocaine-induced up-regulation of the expression of surfactant protein-A (SP-A) in rat alveolar epithelial type Ⅱ cells (AEC Ⅱ).Methods Healthy male Sprague-Dawley rats were sacrificed and AEC Ⅱ were isolated, purified and incubated in 24-well culture plates (100μd/hole) with density of 1 × 106/ml.After being incubated for 2 h,the culture medium was replaced with serum-free medium DMEM.The cells were randomly divided into 4 groups (n =48 each):control group (group C),forskolin (adenylate cyclase agonist) group (group F),lidocaine 200 μg/ml group (group L),and PKA inhibitor H89 + L group (group P+ L).Forskolin 10 μmol/ml was added to DMEM in group F.Lidocaine 200 μg/ml was added to DMEM in group L.H89 10μnol/ ml was added to DMEM and AEC Ⅱ were incubated for 10 min,and then lidocaine 200 μg/ml was added in group P + L.At 6,12 and 24 h of incubation (T1-3),cAMP content and PKA activity (using ELISA),and expression of SP-A mRNA (by real-time fluorescent quantitative PCR) and SP-A (by Western blot) were measured. Results Compared with group C,the expression of SP-A mRNA and SP-A was significantly upregulated, and cAMP level and PKA activity were increased at T1-3 in group F and at T2,3 in group L.Compared with group L,the expression of SP-A and SP-A mRNA was down-regulated,PKA activity was decreased, and no significant change was found in cAMP level at T1-3 in group P + L.Conclusion Lidocaine can up-regulate the expression of SP-A in AEC Ⅱ of rats through activating cAMP-PKA signal transduction pathway.
