OBJECTIVE:To observe the efficacy and safety of carboprost and Foley catheter for the expand cervix before hys-teroscopic electric resection. METHODS:80 patients with hysteroscopic operation were randomly divided into research group and control group. Research group was placed inside the vagina carboprost 1 mg 30 minutes before operation;control group was placed inside the Foley catheter 12 hour before operation. The relaxation degree of the cervix, average operative time, preoperative pain, postoperative morbidity and incidence of adverse reactions in 2 groups were observed. RESULTS:There were no significant differ-ences in the relaxation degree of the cervix, postoperative morbidity and incidence of adverse reactions between 2 groups(P>0.05). The average operative time and preoperative pain in research group were significantly better than control group, the differ-ence was statistically significant(P<0.05). CONCLUSIONS:Carboprost and Foley catheter have good efficacy and safety for ex-pand cervix before hysteroscopic electric resection, however, carboprost is better than Foley catheter in terms of average operative time and preoperative pain.

Objective To explore the relationship between children obesity and adiponectin(ADPN),leptin(LP),and high-sensitive C-reactive protein(hsCRP).Methods Seventy-one obese volunteers as obesity group and 30 normal volunteers who matched obese volunteers in age and sex as control group were selected from 13 702 children and adolescents of 2 to 18 years old in Xiangtan city by sampling survey. The body mass index(BMI),ADPN,LP,hsCRP,fasting blood-glucose(FBG),and fasting pure insulin(INS) were checked respectively. The homeostasis model assessment for insulin resistance(HOMA-IR) and the quantitative insulin-sensitivity check index(QUICKI) were calculated. The difference between the two groups was compared and the relationship of all indexes was analyzed. Results The values of ADPN and QUICKI in obesity group were significantly lower than those of control group(P

Journal of Huazhong University of Science and Technology (Medical Sciences) 2018;38(3):443-448
This study was designed to analyze the effect of the mitochondrial respiratory pathways of Candida albicans (C.albicans) on the biofilm formation. The 2,3-bis (2-methoxy-4-nitro-5-sulfophenyl)-2H-tetrazolium-5-carboxanilide (XTT) reduction assay was used to measure the metabolic activities of biofilms formed by the C.albicans which were cultured in the presence of respiratory pathways inhibitors. The biofilms formed by the wide type (WT),GOA1-deleted (GOA31),GOA1-reconstituted (GOA32),AOX1a-deleted (AOX1) and AOX1b-deleted (AOX2) C.albicans strains were examined by the XTT reduction assay and fluorescence microscopy. The expression of adhesion-related genes BCR1,ALS1,ALS3,ECE1 and HWP1 in the biofilms formed by the above five C.albicans strains was detected by real time polymerase chain reaction. It was found that the metabolic activity of biofilms formed by C.albicans was decreased in the presence of alternative oxidase inhibitor whereas it was increased in the presence of classical mitochondrial respiratory pathway complex Ⅲ or complex Ⅳ inhibitor.AOX1 strain produced scarce biofilms interspersed with few hyphal filaments. Moreover,no significant changes in the expression of BCR1 and ALS3 were observed in the AOX1 strain, but the expression of ALS1 and ECE1 was down-regulated,and that of HWP1 was up-regulated.These results indicate that both AOX1 and AOX2 can promote the biofilm formation.However,AOX1a primarily plays a regulatory role in biofilm formation in the absence of inducers where the promoting effect is mainly achieved by promoting mycelial formation.

Based on Staphylococcus aureus 16S rRNA gene sequences, sequence comparisons have been applied to design a kind of stem-loop structured oligonucleotide probes whose loop sequence mismatched other bacterial strains 16S rRNA gene sequences in more than two positions with high specificity and sensitivity.According to the principle of molecular beacon technology and enzyme linked immunosorbent assay,a method has been evaluated using immobilized stem-loop structured oligonucleotides probe as the conformation switch which is applied to enzymatic detection of nucleic acid targets. As its specificity has been strengthened, the system is able to successfully eliminate false-positive result that is mismatch in an oligonucleotide.Employing a microtiter assay format,4ng of S.aureus 16S rRNA could be detected at least. This approach is more sensitive than other conventional method at least one order of magnitude.

In order to evaluate the characteristics of the spray drying of total flavonoids of Epimedium extracts assisted with soybean polysaccharide, a certain percentage of soybean polysaccharide or polyvidone were added to the total flavonoids of Epimedium extract to conduct the spray drying. The effect of soybean polysaccharides against the wall sticking effect of the spray drying was detected, as well as the powder property of total flavonoids of Epimedium spray drying powder and the dissolution in vitro behavior of the effective component. Compared with the total flavonoids of Epimedium spray drying powder, soybean polysaccharide revealed a significant anti-wall sticking effect. The spray drying power which had no notable change in the grain size made a increase in the fluidity, improvement in the moisture absorption and remarkable rise in the dissolution in vitro behavior. It was worth further studying the application of soybean polysaccharide in spray drying power of traditional Chinese medicine.

The present is aimed at identifying the activation of TRAFs in n asopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) in vitro. The differential expression of TRAF2\,TRAF3 was not detected in RN A and protein level, whereas the expression of TRAF1 in HNE2-LMP1 cell lines wa s much more abundant than that in HNE2 cell lines, suggesting that TRAF1 may be an inducible molecule; More importantly, TRAF1, TRAF2 or TRAF3 were activated in the HNE2-LMP1 cells, whereas TRAF1, TRAF2 or TRAF3 were not activated in HNE2 cells as detected by the immunoprecipitation-Western blotting assay. These data provide an experimental basis for our study beginning from the signal transduca tion pathway for the eluccidation of the mechanism of LMP1 carcinogenesis in NP C.

Objective To analyze and evaluate the characteristics of cerebral sparganosis on MRI. Methods MRI appearances of 15 cases of cerebral sparganosis proven by pathology or serological test were retrospectively studied. Results A total of 21 lesions were found, some of them were single and some were multiple but asymmetrical.8 lesions were found in parietal lobe,6 in frontal lobe,2 in temporal lobe,2 in oceipital lobe,1 in basal ganglia,1 in cerebellar hemisphere and 1 in pons. The lesions carried slightly hypointense on T_1-weighted images and moderate hyperintense on T_2-weighted images. Most lesions showed pefilesional brain parenchyma edema.Enhanced MRI was performed in 10 cases, and all of them demonstrated abnormal enhancement such as peripheral ring-type,tortuous beaded shape or serpiginons tubular shape enhancement.Follow-up MR images in 6 eases were analyzed, and the location and shape of the lesions changed in 2 of them. Conclusion There are some specific MRI findings on cerebral sparganosis.Enhanced MRI and follow-up examination are important for the diagnosis of cerebral sparganosis.

Microbiology 2008;0(10):-
Two endophytic-bacteria isolates of G18 and F19 were isolated from the stem of Taxus chinensis. The G18 and F19 were respectively classified into Psudomonas sp. and Stenotrophomonas sp. based on biological characteristics and 16S rDNA sequence analysis. The bioactivity analysis showed that the fermented broths of the G18 and F19 exhibited antagonistic activities against three pathogenic bacteria, and had good antagonistic effectiveness to Verticillium dahliae and Colletotrichum gloeosporioides, respectively. The G18 can degrade salicylic acid, and the F19 can do dichlorvos.
