1.Several issues to be stressed by hospital directors under the new circumstances
Chinese Journal of Hospital Administration 1996;0(07):-
With the constant development of economic globalization and the growth of knowledge economy, hospitals are confronted with severe challenges and are development opportunities. As leaders of their institutions, hospital directors ought to correctly appraise the situation and attach importance to the following five issues: ①scientific and technological innovations; ②development of unique key specialties; ③cultivation of top notch personnel; ④amplification and perfection of market oriented operational mechanisms; and ⑤team building for joint tackling of key problems. Only in this way can the intensional building of hospitals be enhanced and the competitiveness of them strengthened.

Chinese Journal of Medical Education Research 2003;0(04):-
A new theory called respectful education has been brought up and studied in the preliminary education of ourcountry in recent years. It is the kind of education that calls for a respectful way of interaction among the supervisors, teachers and students and it mostly emphasizes the satisfaction of one's psychological need and the opportunity of anall-around development. As an important component of the quality education in our country, we military academy isundergoing a teaching reform, in which we have found the lack of training on our students' ability of innovative thinkingand nurturance of creativity and a good personality. Therefore, we borrow the ideas and experience presented in thetheory of respectful education in order to discuss the meaning of advocating the theory in the education in militaryacademy and the principles of applying the theory to the practice of education reform.[

OBJECTIVE To find the methods of how to prevent the occurrence of hospital infections in laboratories. METHODS The problems existing in laboratories about hospital infections occurred were summaried based on a data analysis and clinical practice. Certain stratieges for preventing such infections were proposed. RESULTS The following factors were found to be the causes of hospital infections occurred in laboratories, including poor laboratory conditions, unperfect rules and regulations, poor precautions for prevention, inappropriate management, unintensified training, unthorough disinfection, inappropriate disposal of wastes, irregular monitoring, etc. CONCLUSIONS The following measures should be taken for the control of hospital infections in laboratories, such as establishing corresponding organizations, perfecting rules and regulations, intensifying training, enhancing prevention precautions, improving working conditions, strengthening management of disinfection and disposal of medical wastes, stressing monitoring, etc.

According to the current meditech conditions in China,we combined the domestic and overseas first aid modes and the problems in severe trauma together and inducted the methods of model study into the procedure of traumatic first aid.The purpose of the study is to establish the procedure of inner-hospital first aid in severe trauma.Through the investigation and practice in Daping Hospital,Third Military Medical University,on the basis principles of organizing first aid with high efficiency, shortening preoperative time and enhancing achievement ratio of remedy,we established the procedure of inner hospital first aid with the typical character of time-control mode. This method can effectively enhance achievement ratio of remedy, decrease the ratio of disability. Moreover,it may promotes the process of entirety, systematization and specialization of inner-hospital first aid in severe trauma.

Rift Valley fever (RVF) is an acute, febrile zoonotic disease that is caused by the RVF virus (RVFV). RVF is mainly prevalent on the Arabian Peninsula, the African continent, and several islands in the Indian Ocean near southeast Africa. RVFV has been classified by the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) as a category A pathogen. To avoid biological safety concerns associated with use of the pathogen in RVFV neutralization assays, the present study investigated and established an RVFV pseudovirus-based neutralization assay. This study used the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) lentiviral packaging system and RVFV structural proteins to successfully construct RVFV pseudoviruses. Electron microscopy observation and western blotting indicated that the size, structure, and shape of the packaged pseudoviruses were notably similar to those of HIV lentiviral vectors. Infection inhibition assay results showed that an antibody against RVFV inhibited the infective ability of the RVFV pseudoviruses, and an antibody neutralization assay for RVFV detection was then established. This study has successfully established a neutralization assay based on RVFV pseudoviruses and demonstrated that this method can be used to effectively evaluate antibody neutralization.

To develop a specific, rapid, and convenient immunochromatography assay (ICA) to detect the rabies antibody in clinical sample from immuned dogs by rabies vaccine. Colloidal gold particles labeled with purified rabies virus (CVS11) were used as the detector reagent. The staphylococcal protein A (SPA) and pured rabbit anti-rabies virus IgG were blotted on the test and control regions of nitrocellulose membrane. Then the strip was assembled with sample pad, absorbing pad, and dorsal shield. The assay samples (261 dog's serum) were collected from Wildlife Rabies Disease Diagnostic Laboratories of Ministry of Agriculture in China, Institute of Military Veterinary, Academy of Military Medical Sciences and other six provinces, including rabies virus positive and negative serum. The performance of the strip was compared to fluorescent antibody virus neutralization test. The neutralizing antibody titer could be detected above 0.5 IU. The strip did not change of performance when stored at room temperature for 12 months. It may offer reference of neutralizing antibody titer level after dogs immuned rabies vaccine and determin whether the dogs need to be immuned again.
