Diabetic nephropapthy (DN) is a common cause of end-stage renal disease.Early diagnosis and treatment are significant for delaying the development of DN.Smad proteins mediate transforming growth factor β superfamily intracellular signal transduction.Recent studies have found that Smad1 protein plays an important role in the process of renal fibrosis.Urine Smad1 emerges in the early stage of DN,which is expected to be a non-invasive indicator in early diagnosis of DN.

We studied the effects of the selective thromboxane synthetase inhibitor, dazoxiben (UK-37 248), on the reperfusion arrhythmias induced by ischemia-reperfusion in rats. The results indicated that the administration of dazoxiben (2.5 mg/kg i.v.) 15 min prior to coronary occlusion significantly decreased the incidence of ventricular fibrillation induced by 5 inin ischemia and reperfusion from 11/13 in control to 4/13 in drug-treated (P

Objective:
To understand and compare the differences in help-seeking behavior among junior high school students and senior high school students and their association with non-suicidal self-injury to provide a basis for the prevention and control of non-suicidal self-injury among middle school students.
Methods:
Three middle schools in Nanchang were selected, and the survey were conducted among 4 434 students through the General Situation Questionnaire, the Ottawa Self-injury Judgment Entry, and the Middle School Students Help Seeking Behavior Questionnaire, and SPSS 22.0 was used for statistical analysis.
Results:
The NSSI detection rate among middle school students was 33.3% , and junior high school students detection rate(36.0%) were higher than high school students(29.6%) (χ 2=19.41,P<0.01). Differences in willingness to ask for help, asking for help from family and teachers, and talking face-to-face for help were statistically significant (all P<0.01) among NSSI participants and non-NSSI participants, for both junior high school and high school students. Females (OR=1.45), class cadres (OR=1.26), urban household registration (OR=1.45), frequent scolding by elders (OR=1.98) and a high academic burden (OR=1.39) all possible increased the risk of NSSI in junior high school students, while assistance to family members (OR=0.95) or teachers (OR=0.95) possible reduced the risk of NSSI in junior high school students. Females (OR=1.50), class cadres (OR=1.34), only children (OR=1.45), fathers with college education and above (compared to junior high school and below) (OR=1.56), frequent scolding by elders (OR=2.08), frequent corporal punishment from elders (OR=4.12) and high academic burden (OR=1.38) possibly increased the risk of NSSI among high school students, while willingness to ask for help (OR=0.82), asking for help from family (OR=0.95) and teachers (OR=0.96) possible reduced the risk of NSSI among high school students.
Conclusion
There are some differences in help-seeking behavior between junior and high school students, and school and parents should actively focus on middle school students help-seeking behavior and encourage them to seek help.

Objective To investigate the effect of the Shaofu zhuyu decoction on the changes of the body writhing behavior, inflammatory reaction and COX-2 expression of the rats with the primary dysmenorrhea. Methods Fifty SD female rats were randomly divided into blank control group, model control group, high, middle and low dose of Shaofu zhuyu decoction groups,10 in each group.Dysmenorrhea rat model was established by treating with estradiol benzoate and oxytocin.Effect of Shaofu zhuyu decoction of different doses on writhing behavior, changes of endometritis cells and COX-2 expression in uterine smooth muscle of dysmenorrhea rats were observed. Results In the model control group, latency of the body writhing behavior was shortened and the total score was high, many inflammatory cells (especially for neutrophils) infiltrated in endometrium and uterine smooth muscle, immunohistochemistry showed that brown granules were found in the cytoplasm of smooth muscle cells of uterus, and COX-2 expression was positive in uterine smooth muscle cells. As compared with the model control group, writhing latency increased, total score decreased in both the high and middle dose of Shaofu zhuyu decoction groups, and infiltration of a small number of inflammatory cells was seen in the endometrium and smooth muscle(P<0.01);COX-2 expression was decreased (P<0.01) especially for the high dose of Shaofu zhuyu decoction group. As compared with the model control group, the latency of the low dose of Shaofu zhuyu decoction group was significantly increased, and the total score was decreased(P<0.01),but there was no significant difference in inflammatory cell infiltration and COX-2 expression (P>0.05). Conclusion A potential mechanism by which Shaofu zhuyu decotion treats primary dysmenorrhea may be related with alleviating pain, inhibiting inflammatory responses, and down-regulating expression of COX-2.

Objective To investigate the effects of water extracts of Lepidium meyenii walp (LMWE) collected from two different places in Xinjiang on the maturation and function of dendritic cells (DCs) and to evaluate their roles in immunoregulation. Methods Water extracts of LMWE growing in Tashikuergan County (Ta xian) and A La gou of Xinjiang were prepared and named as LMWE-T and LMWE-A,respectively. Bone marrow-derived DCs and splenocytes isolated from C57BL/6 mice were treated with different concentrations of polysaccharide extracts from LMWE-T/A. Effects of LMWE-T/A on the per-centage and apoptosis of DC,expression of co-stimulatory molecules and secretion of cytokines were detected by flow cytometry and ELISA. MTT assay was used to analyze the proliferation of splenocytes. Changes in the functions of DC were evaluated by mixed lymphocyte reaction(MLR). Results LMWE-T/A had no in-fluence on the percentage and viability of DC. Expression of CD40 and CD86,and secretion of TNF-α,IL-12p40 and IFN-γ were significantly increased by LMWE-T/A treatment in a dose-dependent manner. LMWE-T/A treatment enhanced the functions of DCs and also dose-dependently promoted the proliferation of splenocytes. LMWE-A was more effective than LMWE-T in promoting CD86 expression,IFN-γ secretion and splenocyte proliferation. Pretreatment with TAK-242,an inhibitor of Toll-like receptor 4(TLR4),could sig-nificantly inhibit the regulatory effects of LMWE-T/A on CD40 expression and the secretion of TNF-α and IL-12p40. Conclusion This study shows that LMWE could promote the maturation of DC through TLR4 signaling pathway, enhance the functions of DC without side effects on DC survival, and increase the prolif-eration of splenocytes, indicating that LMWE has a potential immunopotentiating effect. LMWE-A has better effects than LMWE-T on immune enhancement.
