Objective To translate and evaluate the reliability and validity of Chinese version of Nursing Student Self-Efficacy Scale.Methods A total of 212 nursing students in practice were recruited and completed the questionnaire survey including Chinese version of Nursing Student Self-Efficacy Scale and General Self-Efficacy Scale.Results The fitness of confirmatory factor analysis neither in intersectant model nor in orthogonal model were not good.Chinese revised version of Nursing Student Self-Efficacy Scale was formed based on the exploratory factor analysis.The three factors could explain 67.7％ variance of self-efficacy and the loading of all items was above 0.6.The correlation coefficient between the total score and three factors of revised NSSES and GSES was 0.570,0.427,0.582,and 0.480 respectively.The fitness of revised NSSES confirmatory factor of intersectant model,orthogonal model,and modified intersectant model were also not satisfying.Conclusions Although the reliability and the criterion-related validity of revised Chinese version of Nursing Student Self-Efficacy Scale were satisfying,the construct validity was not good and the further revision concerning on the task description and item response grade was required before applying for the internal measurement.

Objective To observe the effect of nystatin via gastrointestinal tract on the incidence of invasive fungal infections (IFI) and the prognosis of patients with mechanical ventilation in ICU.Methods A total of 118 critical ill patients admitted to ICU needing mechanical ventilation were enrolled.The patients were divided into two groups by random digits table method.Patients in study group (57 cases) were administered nystatin 1 000 kU three times a day via the gastric tube;and patients in control group (61cases) were given gastrointestinal prokinetic drug as placebo three times a day.The specimens were collected on admission,the third,the sixth,the ninth day after admission,the strain distribution was observed,and the corrected colonization index (CCI) of all patients were calculated.The incidence of candidemia and 28-day mortality as well as the duration of stay in ICU and hospital was also recorded.Results A total of 860 strains were isolated from 118 patients.Of which Candida albicans accounted for 56.9％ (489/860).The most frequently colonized body sites was oropharyngeal site [35.9％(309/860)].CCI on the sixth,the ninth day after admission in study group was lower than that in control group (0.18 ±0.09 vs.0.40 ±0.16 and 0.10 ± 0.02 vs.0.45 ± 0.13),28-day mortality in study group was lower than that in control group [17.5％(10/57) vs.34.4％(21/61)],the duration of stay in ICU in study group was shorter than that in control group [(9.45 ± 3.36) d vs.(11.78 ± 6.21) d],and there were significant differences (P ＜ 0.05).There were no significant differences in the incidence of candidemia and the duration of stay in hospital (P ＞0.05).Conclusion Nystatin may reduce the colonization of Candida albicans and is associated with shorter ICU day.

Objective To explore the changes of blood gas, plasma fibrinogen and D-dimmer levels in neonates with severe hyaline membrane disease (HMD). Methods Forty - three neonates with severe HMD(treated by mechanical ventilation) ,26 neonates with mild HMD( without treated by mechanical venti-lation) and 31 controls were studied. The blood gas,plasma fibrinogen and D-dimmer levels were measured. Results Compared with other two groups, the levels of blood pH, PaO2 and FBG decreased significantly in neonates with severe HMD (P<0.01). The levels of PaCO2 and D-dimmer increased significantly (P<0.01). The blood pH was negatively correlated with plasma D-dimmer level,but it was positively correlated with plasma FBG level in neonates with severe HMD. Conclusion There are coagulation abnormalities in neonates with severe HMD. Hypoxemia and acidosis have close relationship with the coagulation abnormali-ties.

Objective To explore the relationship of red blood cell distribution width (RDW) with severity and prognosis in children with sepsis. Methods The RDW, clinical features and prognosis of 494 sepsis children were retrospectively ana-lyzed. Results The RDW was increased in 305 sepsis children (61.74%) among whom 49.30%in sepsis group, 60.27%in sever sepsis group and 83.46%in septic shock group. The difference was signiifcant (P<0.001). The mortality of RDW increased children among three groups was 1.89%, 20.45%, 67.57%, and it was signiifcantly different (P<0.001). The rates of increased RDW was 56.15%in 374 survived cases and 79.17%in 120 died cases, and the difference was signiifcant (P<0.001). Pediatric critical illness score (PCIS) was negatively correlated with RDW (P<0.001), while mortality was positively correlated with RDW (P<0.001). Conclusions The rate of increased RDW is high in children with severe sepsis and septic shock and the level of RDW is closely related to the prognosis of patients.

It could be used to evaluate liver functional reserve more effectively and reliably.

Objective To explore whether gap junction disturbances are involved in the pathogenesis of levodopa-induced dyskinesia ( LID ). Methods The hemi-parkinsonian ( PD ) rat was treated intraperitoneally with L-dopa methylester (20 mg/kg) and benserazid (10 mg/kg) for 21 days and abnormal involuntary movement was evaluated to establish LID rat model. The experimental animals were divided into three groups: LID group, PD group and normal control group, respectively. The behavior responses of intraperitoneal injection of different doses of carbenoxolon and intracerebroventricular injection of quinine were observed to estimate the effects of gap junctional blockade on the abnormal involuntary movement ( AIM ) in the rat model of LID. Double immunofluorescence labeling was used to analyze the expression of connexin 36 ( Cx36 ) in enkephalin positive medium spiny neurons and parvalbumin ( PV ) positive interneurons in the striatum. Western blottings was used to observe the expression of Cx36 in the striatum and moter cortex. Results Behavioral characteristics indicated that high dose of carbenoxolone ( >60 mg/kg) intraperitoneal injection and intracerebroventricular injection of quinine ( 0.5, 1.0, 2.0 μmol/L, > 2.5 μmol/L ) could decrease the AIM score of LID rats. Western blotting indicated that expression of Cx36 in lesioned striatum and motor cortex of LID rat model was 219.56% ±18.12% and 226.03% ±16.33%, respectively, which induced a significant upregulation in comparison with the normal control group (104.05% ±3.82%, t=15.389, P<0.01;105.27% ±2.82%,t=8.074, P<0.01) and untreated PD group (119.31% ±8.92%, t=13.356, P<0.01; 138.20% ±17.88%, t=5.872, P<0.01). Double immunofluorescence labeling staining revealed that Cx36 expression was increased in Enk-positive striatum neurons in LID model ( 57.59% ±5.36%) compared with that in normal control group (32.67% ±4.22%) and PD group (37.24% ±0.86%, F=78.060, P<0.01). The expression of Cx36 in PV-positive interneurons was also elevated in LID group (68.49% ±11.60%) in comparison with normal control group ( 40.43% ± 2.30%) and PD group ( 31.92% ± 5.68%, F = 39.567, P < 0.01 ).Conclusions The Cx36 expression is generally increased in lesioned striatum and motor cortex of LID rat model. In the striatum, the up-regulation of Cx36 is specifically observed in Enk-positive striatum neurons and in PV-positive interneurons. The dyskinesia behavior of LID rats can be significantly reduced by treatment with gap junction blockade. All these results suggest that gap junction dysfunction may play an important role in the pathogenesis of LID.

Objective To measure the expression of La-related protein 1 (LARP1) in gastric carcinoma and investigate its relationship with the biologic behavior of gastric carcinoma.Methods Expression of LARP1 protein in 30 gastric carcinoma tissues and para-carcinoma tissues and 30 normal gastric specimens was detected by immunohistochemistry.Results The mean density of LARP1 expression in gastric carcinoma (0.19-± 0.13) was significantly higher than that in adjacent tissues (0.07 ± 0.12) and normal tissue (0.01 ± 0.03) (P ＜ 0.01).Along with the increasing of TNM stage,LARP1 in gastric carcinoma tissue expression was significantly increased (stage Ⅰ vs.Ⅱ vs.Ⅲ + Ⅳ =0.06 ± 0.07 vs.0.20 ± 0.12 vs.0.30 ± 0.08,P =0.001) and lymph node metastasis in patients with LARP1 expression levels than those without lymph node metastasis (0.22 ± 0.12 vs.0.11 ± 0.14,P =0.038).The amount of expression in poorly differentiated carcinoma LARP1 is significantly higher than that in high grade carcinoma (0.24 ± 0.12 vs.0.12 ± 0.12,P =0.022),but has no correlation with age or gender of patient.It has no correlation with the size and location of tumor.Conclusions LARP1 is overexpres sed in gastric carcinoma and para-carcinoma tissues.It is significantly related to the malignant biological behavior of gastric cancer and may play an important role in the carcinogenesis and development of gastric carcinoma.

Objective To investigate the difference of adiponectin ,glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c) ,blood lipid and body mass index(BMI)in individuals with impaired glucose regulation(IGR) and type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM ) ,and to predict their effect in development of IGR 、T2DM .Methods Medical examination objects were selected and divided into three groups :145 patients with newly diagnosed T2DM group ,128 patients with impaired glucose regulation(IGR group) ,160 individuals with normal glucose tol‐erance (NGT group ,as control) .Fasting adiponectin ,HbA1c ,total cholesterol (TC ) ,triglyceride (TG ) ,low density lipoprotein (LDL‐C) ,high density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL‐C) were determined .We measured body height ,body weight to compute body mass index(BMI) .Results The levels of HbA1c ,TC ,TG ,LDL‐C ,BMI were significantly higher in T2DM group than those in NGT group(P< 0 .05) ,the levels of HDL‐C and adiponectin were more declined in T2DM group than those in NGT group (P<0 .05) .The levels of HbA1c ,TC ,TG ,LDL‐C ,BMI were significantly higher in IGR group than those in NGT group(P< 0 .05) ,the levels of HDL‐C and adiponectin were more declined in IGR group than those in NGT group (P < 0 .05) .The levels of HbA1c , TC ,TG ,LDL‐C ,BMI were significantly higher in T2DM group than those in IGR group(P < 0 .05) ,the levels of HDL‐C and adi‐ponectin were more declined in T2DM group than those in IGR group (P < 0 .05) .Conclusion During the course of disease from NGT to IGR to T2DM ,plasma adiponectin levels are decreasing ,however HbA1c ,TC ,TG ,LDL‐C are increasing gradually while BMI were increasing .Therefore it has very important effect and significance in controlling BMI and plasma adiponectin levels to pre‐vent and cure IGR ,T2DM and plasma lipid disorder .

Objective To explore the relationship between serum albumin (ALB) combined with red blood cell distribution width (RDW) in progression and prognosis of children with heart failure. Method A total of 144 children with heart failure were divided into light, medium, and heavy group according to the modified ROSS score; another aspect, they also were divided into survival group and death group. ALB, RDW, and modified ROSS score were measured to assess the relationship between the factors and the death by logistic regression analysis. Results There are 73 boys and 71 girls. The cases of mild, moderate, and severe group were 78, 39, and 27, respectively. Age and gender difference in three groups were not statistically significant (P>0.05). The ratio of high RDW was 54.86% (79/144), the ratio of low serum ALB was 33.33% (48/144). Chi-square analysis indicated that a severer status of the disease correlated with a lower ALB level (P <0.05) and a higher RDW. The analysis of rank correlation indicating the degree of heart failure was negatively correlated with the related trends of ALB and RDW (P<0.05). Logistic regression analysis indicating a higher risk of death of the disease correlated with a lower ALB level (P<0.05, OR=0.839)and a higher modified ROSS score(P<0.05,OR=1.324).Conclusions The ALB,RDW,and the modified ROSS score are closely related to the severity in heart failure children. The ALB and the modified ROSS score have important clinical prognostic significance in evaluating the prognosis.

Objective To explore the effects of Bcl-2 and BaK gene silencing on cell apoptosis ,osteogen-esis activity and free Ca2+concentration of MG-63 cell lines. Methods The siRNA sequences targeted Bcl-2 and BaK respectively were designed;Bcl-2 and BaK silencing adenovirus vector scramble RNA vector and empty vec-tor were constructed to transfect MG-63 cell lines. MTT method was used to examine cell viability;ALP and flow cytometry were conducted to observe osteogenesis activity and free Ca2+concentration. Results Bcl-2 gene silenc-ing decreased cell viability,reduced osteogenesis activity and increased free Ca2+ concentration when compared with controls but BaK gene silencing had the opposite effects. The effect of Bcl-2+BaK gene silencing on cell was similar to the empty control. Conclusions Cell apoptosis,osteogenesis activity and free Ca2+concentration of MG-63 change following Bcl-2 and BaK gene silencing,implicating their roles in osteoporosis.
