Journal of Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine 1999;0(02):-
[Objective] To assess the diagnostic criteria in literatures of blood-stasis syndrome based on evidence-based medicine. [Methods] The reports on blood-stasis syndrome published in the years of 1978 ~ 2002 were collected and evaluated according to the evidence-based medicine principles. Main outcomes include design method, sample screening, sample size, establishment of control group, randomization, blind method, criteria of diagnostic trials. [Results] In the reports collected, no gold standard and independent blind method were adopted, criteria of diagnostic trials such as sensitivity, specificity and likelihood ratio were incomplete and there was no descriptions of potential bias controlling. As for the literatures sharing the same diagnostic criteria of blood-stasis syndrome, their conclusion did not totally accord with each other. [Conclusion] Diagnostic criteria of blood - stasis syndrome are incomplete and need to be improved. The conclusion in published reports on diagnostic criteria of blood-stasis syndrome will be further verified.

Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2009;13(48):9567-9569
Reconstructing the three-dimensional finite element model of compression fracture of T_(12) based on the 210-layer consecutive CT DICOM format images from one patient of compression fracture of T_(12) to simulate the hyperextending. Bound the lower of T_(12), a vertical traction at the top of T_(11)and a 3.0 cm-displacement toward the vertebra by three steps at the top of spinous process of T_(11), T_(12) and L_1 was provided. The procedure began computing to reed the results about dynamic biomechanical characteristics of anterior longitudinal ligament. A realistic appearance and full biomechanical properties 3D finite element model of thoracolumbar spine compression fracture was established. The anterior longitudinal ligament was changed from relaxation to tension after hyperextending. The stresses of anterior longitudinal ligament were different when the hyperextending fulcrum was different. The treatment effect of thoracalumbar spine compression fracture by hyperextending is exact. The anterior longitudinal ligament plays an important role in the treatment. Finite element analysis of mechanism of traditional practices has many advantages, such as reliable experimental results, direct displaying results, saving resources and accurate simulation.

Academic Journal of Second Military Medical University 2001;22(1):28-31
Objective: To investigate the effect of protein ki nase C on signal transduction such as tyrosine phosphorylation, c-fos and c-ju n mRNA expression in antigen activated mast cells. Methods: RBL-2H3 cells either untreated or treated with phorbol 12-myristate 13 -acetate (PMA) were sensitized with anti-DNP IgE, and activated with DNP-BSA, histamine release and tyrosine phosphorylation were quantitatively measured by ELISA and flow cytometry, respectively. The effect of PKC on the ex pression of c-fos and c-jun in serum-deprived RBL-2H3 cells activated by DNP-BSA detected by ethidium staining of PCR-amplified cDNA, the amplified cDNA products were subjected to Southern blot hybridization using specific prob es to determine the veracity of amplification. Results: Tyr osine phosphorylation and histamine release were significantly reduced from (4.4 7±0.03)% to (2.79±0.07)% and (104.47±1.31) nmol/L to (60.75±1.38) nm ol/L, respectively, 45 min after DNP-BSA stimulation in sensitized cells pre treated with PMA for 48 h. Bands of the size predicted for the amplified cDNA we re obtained: 299 bp for c-fos, and 651 bp for c-jun, a decrease of 91% and 82% , respectively, for c-fos and c-jun mRNAs was observed in antigen stimulated c ells pretreated with PMA for 48 h. Conclusion: PKC plays an impo rtant role in modulating the tyrosine phosphorylation and histamine release resp onses and may upregulate the expression of c-fos and c-jun in antigen activate d mast cell.

Objective: To explore the molecular mechanism of HMC-1 cell apoptosis on exposure to tripterine. Methods: After the HMC-1 cells were incubated with tripterine, the expression of bcl-2, bax, bcl-X,c-myc and ICE were assayed by using immunohistochemical staining and RT-PCR. Results: The expression of bax,c-myc were up-regulated and bcl-2 down-regulated at protein level. The expression of bax,bcl-X L, especially bcl-2 were down-regulated, and ICE was up-regulated at mRNA level. Conclusion: These results suggest that apoptosis of HMC-1 cells induced by tripterine is regulated by different expression of apoptosis-related genes.

Objective To explore the effect of follow-up nursing intervention on preventing dental plaque during oral fixed orthodontic appliance. Methods One hundred and twenty orthodontic patients receiving oral fixed orthodontic treatment were randomly divided into control and experiment groups equally according to visit time. The control group received conventional nursing during the process and follow-up nursing intervention during the process. The two groups were compared in terms of dental plaques before orthodontic, 3 and 6 months after the orthodontic treatment. Results Before the treatment, there was no significant differences in the dental plaques between them(P>0.05), but the indices of dental plagues in the experimental group were significantly lower than those of the control group 3 and 6 months after the orthodontic appliance(P<0.001).Conclusion Follow-up nursing care during orthodontic appliance are more effective for keeping oral hygiene.

Objective To investigate the feasibility of high fat-introduced hyperlipeidemia model in male SD rat and study the time rule of molding .Methods 30 Male adult rats of SD Strain bred in the animal house of the institute were divided into 3 groups after 1 week adaptation , group 1:control group, normal diet;group 2:model 1 group, high fat high cholesterol diet;group 3:model 2 group, high fat high cholesterol diet .The period of experiment was 8 weeks.Food and water intake were measured everyday and body weight were measured every four days .Blood were collected by orbital venous at the end of fourth ,sixth, eighth week to test their serum lipid level .At the end of experiment ,animals were killed to collect liver and aorta tissue for HE stain .Results Compared with control group ,the food intake of model 1 was higher and model 2 was significant lower , water intake of model 2 was significant lower , the ratio of liver/weight of two model groups were significant heavier ,and weight of model groups were higher .High fat diet significantly increased TC levels of model groups at the end of fourth ,sixth week. The level of LDL-c in model 1 group were higher and the HDL-c were lower compared with control group .HE stain showed the livers of control group were regular ,arrangements of the liver cells were trim, dyeing present uniformity .The two model groups showed a large range of hepatocyte fatty change ,a few liver blood sinus were in congestion and infiltrated with inflammatory cells .Aorta HE stain showed no significant change among 3 groups. Conclusions The method of high fat-introduced hyperlipeidemia model in male SD rat is feasible and the model turned out to present hypercholesterolemia with severe fatty liver .On the other hand, levers of serum lipid increased within an increase—inter-adjustment—increase state .In the process of modeling ,how to overcome the symptom of anorexia and the state of cholesterol inter-adjustment in animals is the key to successfully establish hyperlipeidemia model .

AIM: To observe the expression of undulin(Un) in liver tissue and to clarify the diagnostic significance of serum Un in experimental rat liver fibrosis. METHODS: Rat liver fibrosis was induced by carbon tetrachloride. The expression of Un in liver tissue was detected by immunohistochemical method. Serum Un levels was measured by enzyme immunoassay.RESULTS: Expression of Un increased in fibrotic liver than normal liver, and it was mainly distributed in portal tract stroma, central veins and fibrotic septa in fibrotic liver. Also, the level of serum Un was significantly higher in fibrotic liver than normal liver.CONCLUSION: These data suggest that Un should be a component of the hepatic extracellar matrix, and its expression could be increased greatly in fibrotic rat liver. Serum Un levels may be used as an indicator in liver fibrosis diagnosis.
