Academic Journal of Second Military Medical University 1985;0(06):-
Cartilage antuumor component (CATC) was isolated from a 1 mol/L guanidine hydrochloride extract of bovine cartilage by acetone fractioned precipitation and superfiltration. Using human skin fibroblasts as a normal control, it was demonstrated that CATC inhibited the DNA synthesis of Hela, QGY7703 tumor cell lines and bovine artery endothelial cells, but accelerated the normal cells, when the concentration was below 1250 ?g/ml. At the concentration of 5 000 ?g/ml, CATC inhibited the two cell lines. With human tumor stem cell assay, CATC inhibited the stem cell growth of Hela and QGY7703 cell lines. These suggest that CATC has the effects of inhibiting angiogenesis and tumor cells.

In China, the treatment of AIDS With Chinese herbal medicine compound has been widely studied and practiced. Clinical Studies showed that the treatment of AIDS with Chinese medicine can significantly relieve AIDS patients' clinical symptoms, improve life quality with rising immunity and alleviate toxic and side effects in antiviral drug. This study took 28 Clinical Studies on the treatment of AIDS with Chinese herbal medicine compound published in Chinese periodicals as the research object, and designed Tree Analysis Algorithm was used to analyze prescription compatibility in the treatment of AIDS with Chinese herbal medicine compound. Results of data analysis revealed that clinical therapy on AIDS could be classified into three types: predominent de-toxication, predominent supplementing Qi, and simultaneous de-toxication and supplementing Qi due to different understanding the pathogenesis of excessive evil and deficient essence-qi. But in practical medication, there has not formed a reasonable and effective combination or basic prescription up to now, except that Astragalus was wildly used.

Objective:
To identify underlying reasons for discrepant cases of positive cytology but negative histology.
Methods:
Cases with positive cytology and negative histology from 2008 to 2016 were retrieved from Department of Pathology, Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital of Fudan University. Low grade squamous intraepithelial lesion or higher grade lesions were considered as positive cytology test in the study. Consecutive follow-up biopsies and as well as sites of biopsy were documented for analysis.
Results:
Overall positive rate of biopsy followed positive cytology was 74.3%(8 990/12 097). Of the negative biopsies, 675 cases were followed-up with multiple biopsy. Two-hundred and eighty-seven cases (42.5%, 287/675) were confirmed to have lesions. Comparing with those with initial positive biopsiews, patients of the latter group were significantly older and had other specimen types including vaginal biopsy, cone biopsy and hysterectomy. The final histological diagnoses were well correlated with cytological results (

Aim To explore the possibility of the multiple epitope DNA vaccines of hepatitis C virus (HCV). Methods A synthetic multiple epitope antigen gene PCX of HCV was cloned into vector pREP9(RSV promoter) and pcDNA3 (CMV promoter) to construct eukaryotic expression vectors pREP9/PCX and pcDNA3/PCX, then they were used to immunize mice and rabbits, the titer of specific humoral and cellular responses were detected and their safety were observed. Results In mice, specific anti-GZ-PCX antibody(IgG) was lower than 1∶ 1 000 and did not persist well. In rabbits, the highest titer of anti-GZ-PCX IgG reached at 1∶ 3 200 and remained for about one month. Delayed type hypersensitivity reactions (DTH)and proliferation response of peripheral lymphocytes were induced by GZ-PCX antigen. Body weights of immunized mice were normal and no obvious toxic reaction was observed. Conclusion The multiple epitope antigen gene of HCV could induce specific immune responses without obvious toxicity and it might be able to serve as an effective HCV vaccine candidate.
