Chinese Journal of Information on Traditional Chinese Medicine 2014;(10):32-38
Objective To evaluate the effectiveness and safety of TCM treatment to children with mycoplasma pneumonia. Methods RCTs of trational Chinese medicine in treating children with mycoplasma pneumonia were retrieved. CNKI, Wanfang Database and CBMdisc were searched for Chinese literature, and PubMed, EMbase and Cochrane Library were searched for foreign literature. All searching time was up to May 25, 2012. Data were picked up by two system reviewers individually and evaluation standard of Cochrane was used to evaluate the quality of selected literature. Results A total of 64 RCTs including 6289 cases of children with mycoplasma pneumonia were analyzed. In the improvement of clinical symptoms, among comparison between traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine (RR=1.10, 95%CI:-1.0--1.18) and comparison between traditional Chinese medicine plus western medicine and western medicine (RR=1.14, 95%CI:1.10-1.18), curative effects of treatment group were superior to the control group, P<0.00;For the fever clearance time, among comparison between traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine (RR=-4.26, 95%CI:-8.15--0.37), comparison between traditional Chinese medicine plus western medicine and western medicine (RR=-0.97, 95%CI:-1.27--0.66), curative effects of treatment group were superior to the western medicine group. For the time of the disappearance of cough and pulmonary rales, and the basic X-ray absorption time, curative effects of treatment group were also superior to the control group. Untoward effects in western medicine group were obvious than that of traditional Chinese medicine group. Conclusion TCM could improve and shorten the duration of symptoms of children with mycoplasma pneumonia. However, it is still necessary to be verified with more multi-center, double-blind, large sample randomized controlled trials, since the literature which have been brought into related researches were with low quality.

Medical Journal of Chinese People's Liberation Army 1982;0(03):-
To analyze the outcome of allogeneic peripheral blood stem cell transplantation(allo PBSCT) for hematological malignancies and prevention of complications, forty one patients with hematological malignancies were treated with allo PBSCT. One regimen of prophylaxis for acute graft versus host disease(GVHD) was the combination of cyclosporine(CsA)and methotrexate(MTX),another mycophenolate mofetil(MMF) with cyclosporine and methotrexate .The results showed that all patients were successfully engrafted .The incidence of over grade Ⅱ acute GVHD after HLA matched transplantation was 21 05%(8/38). Chronic GVHD occurred in 19/25(76%) patients. Three of thirty four patients with acute leukemia(CR 1 ) and CML(CP) after HLA matched transplantation relapsed(8 82%). The disease free survival was 71 43%(10/14) after follow up for more than 2 years. The results suggest that the incidence of acute GVHD in allo PBSCT appears to be similar to allo BMT, but the incidence of chronic GVHD in allo PBSCT is higher than that in allo BMT. Infection and interstitial pneumonitis are the main cause of death.

Fudan University Journal of Medical Sciences 2009;36(4):407-412
Objective To investigate the effect of di-2-ethylhexyl phthalate (DEHP) on the proliferation of SK-N-SH human neuroblastoma cells and its underlying mechanism. Methods Cells were cultured in estrogen-free improved Dulbecco's Modified Eagle's Medium and then divided into 5 groups: no treatment (control group); treated with 17β-estradiol (E_2 group); treated with DEHP (DEHP group); treated with both E_2 and phosphatidylinositol-3-kinases (PI3K) inhibitor LY294002 (E_2 + LY294002 group); treated with both DEHP and LY294002 (DEHP + LY294002 group). The absorbance value (AV) was measured on day 0, 2, and 5. DNA proliferation index (PI) and apoptotic index (AI) were determined by flow cytometry on day 5. Caspase-3 protein, protein-serine-threonine kinase (Akt) and phosphor-Akt (Ser473) protein expression were analyzed by Western blot on day 5. Results The AV of All groups increased on day 2, and 5. The AV of E_2 and DEHP groups were higher than that of the control group (P<0. 001), but the AV of E_2 + LY294002 and DEHP + LY294002 groups were lower than those of E_2 and DEHP groups (P<0.01) on day 2 and 5. On day 5, PI of E_2 and DEHP groups were also higher than that of control (P<0.01). However, PI of E_2 + LY294002 and DEHP + LY294002 groups were lower than those of E_2 and DEHP group (P<0.01) on day 5. There was no significant difference in AI and caspase-3 protein expression among the groups. At the same time, phosphor-Akt (Ser473) protein expression of E_2 and DEHP groups increased obviously, compared with the control group. Compared with E_2 and DEHP groups, E_2 + LY294002 and DEHP + LY294002 groups decreased significantly. However, Akt protein expression was equal among those groups. Conclusions DEHP can promote the growth of SK-N-SH cells to a level similar to that of E_2, with activation of the PI3K/Akt signaling pathway.
